Parked on the road just outside the car park (Queen’s Park Close), no overnight parking in the car park. Space for around 5 vans/motorhomes. Public toilets on the other side of the boating lake (40p, contactless payment available), couple of pubs a short walk away, overall great nights sleep!
no height barriers...free parking from 18.00 to 08.00.. £5 for all day..plenty of space..very quiet night next to the lake...Great location. 5 mins to the beach, 20 mins into town. Be aware of the small print. free overnight parking.but..sleeping overnight cooking in the camper is prohibited, states you will be fined. We didn't read that particular rule properly. so might be fined!
Superbe Spot, pour passé plusieurs nuits avec un petit étang. Attention parking payant la journée. Mais possibilité de ce garer le long de la route avec les lignes jaunes. À 2 min de la plage et une poubelle sur le parking.

Nice quite night it a dead end street so no passing traffic enough for large vans as sed side road of the car park but free so what more do u need only a few space Toliets just 1 min walk away not sure why there’s a 1 star review would recommend
ironic how we all park on road side, n there’s an empty car park. council could charge small fee to encourage vanlifers, especially in the winter months. Encourage out of season tourism, trades and people happy to settle there a few months… spending in the town over the winter. not a good spot, clearly not welcomed, height barriers all over the town. Won’t be back tbh
We have just stayed the night on the road outside the car park. There were 2 other motorhomes. No signs saying not allowed to park. A very short walk over to the beach. Peaceful night.
Free parking on most roads around main promenade. Winter hours as original poster wrote. No overnight parking or cooking in the car parks next to the lake. No disruptions from anything, very quiet. Off peak parking allowed 1st of October - 30th of May
Nice carpark set on a lovely lake and lots near by free parking between 6pm and 8am - but no sleeping in vehicles allowed
Great nights sleep stayed on the road no issues. Loverly little campsite 5 mins down the road ivydene campsite for a hot shower and Elson clear out Loverly lady. £10
Endroit très calme, à proximité de toutes commodités et de la plage. Des toilettes publiques gratuites sont à disposition. Nous nous sommes garés à l’extérieur du parking. Le stationnement semble gratuit. Nous n’avons eu aucun souci.
Great place to park only £5 for 24 hours two minutes to the beach next next to the duckpond and park. Great place to stop if you have kids.
Car park £2 for 2 hours or more but no overnight sleeping. After 6pm moved on to road next to car park, free parking September to March
we parked on the car park. it's £5 for 24 hours .the road too it has a single yellow line .you could risk parking there for free . nice and quiet over night just us and the geese and they don't get up till 7
Ok stop over, In a residential area. No traffic noise but the geese make a lot of noise.
So we parked up next to Queen park car park on the road so free overnight and very quiet , only about 3 camper spaces, nearby fish and chips, pub, beach and loos, what’s not to like ?
