I stayed here last night. Solo female with 2 dogs. It’s a nice spot with plenty of parking space. Very beautiful and peaceful. A couple of boy racers arrived in the evening, which was a little unnerving as its pitch black with NO PHONE SIGNAL (3 Mobile). Quiet through the night. Would recommend but only if you’re travelling with someone else due to no phone signal etc.

Lovely location, really quiet and plenty of space for any size vehicle. Didn’t stop overnight but can imagine it’s very quiet.

  • 5/5

Perfect place to stop for the night, the odd tractor and car went past but had great nights rest

  • 5/5

stunning little stopover, quiet and peaceful, loads of room for parking, beautiful scenery, fish jumping, herons, geese perfect park up.

  • 5/5

We have just stopped here and it is brilliant! The reservoir is stunning, the area is quiet, hardly any traffic. There is one bin on this paved car park and I would say there is room for more then four campervans. We didn't have any noise or any trouble in the night from others. Felt really safe

  • 5/5

Level parking on a quiet road next to the reservoir. Stunning location with good walks available.

  • 5/5

Very convenient reservoir parkup. Bins but no facilities and limited phone reception. Can become muddy with rain. Traffic dies down at night. Would recommend.

beautiful spot! didn't stay overnight this time but I've saved it for future ✨

  • 5/5

quietest night sleep I've ever had

  • 4/5

Lovely place to stay, stayed for the view especially in the morning! It is on a road but found it wasn’t too busy but if you’re a light sleeper the sound of the odd car might wake you

Nice e spot but be aware of youths in cars arriving and leaving all the time, lots of fast passing traffic. Something going on here after dark.?! Better overnight parking is available on the hills between Crowcombe and Nether Stowey, magnificent views to Wales and lots of space with little passing traffic.

Arrived at dusk and you NEED to see this spot at this time, it was stunning. zero signal, but there's a path uphill (through a gate) where you'll soon find some signal. There are bins for rubbish and I found the place clean. Stayed one night, no other vans but I wasn't disturbed. Only marked down as a few drivers were flying past, felt a bit weary when cars parked up. Only one horn blasting.

Beautiful view of the lake, lovely and quiet. No facilities. Highly recommend, keep it clean, appreciate the opportunity to stay here.

  • 5/5

Beautiful peaceful spot, we stayed in our 9m long camper for 1 night. In the evening were two cars with young people parked on the other end, but didn't disturb us at all. Definitely recommend!

  • 5/5

really enjoyed this spot, peaceful and plenty of spaces.

  • 5/5

Great nights sleep, very little passing traffic and view of the reservoir in the morning! Would stay here again. No facilities.

  • 5/5

Brilliant nights sleep, was so quiet and peaceful. Just us and another van.

  • 5/5

This is a nice serene spot, best nights sleep since hitting the road full time. Nothing to hear at night other than owls and wildlife (and the odd passing car). Super sweet place to spend the evening.

  • 4/5

Great spot by reservoir. Beautiful views, very peaceful. Level. Three vans parked up. A few cars came and went. Some traffic comes by quite fast but drops off after 9

  • 5/5

Ignore the previous review this is not a dogging site- it’s stunning and amazingly quiet. Spent the afternoon and night there. All comings and going’s stopped at 8pm just us and two other vans all night. It’s a brilliant spot right on the edge of the quantock hills

  • 2/5

Pretty sure it’s a dogging spot. Went on a Friday night arriving around midnight. One other van was there - but others soon arrived. People circling our car, lights flashing, all a bit stressful. Made a 2am getaway in my pants, phew. Might be better on another night…

  • 5/5

Beautiful and peaceful. We spent midsummers night here. Nothing but birds and the jumping fish for company . We will be back

  • 4/5

Nice and quiet lay bay, beautiful view with plenty of bird song and the occasional passing horse. A few “boy racers” in the night that decide to handbrake turn in to the lay-by but all stopped by 02:00. Two bins available. Will be back!

  • 5/5

Amazing spot. As others said fab walks around, we were the only people there until 8am when fishers came but no noise at all, very friendly people. Amazing birds around, spent all morning watching the tufted ducks and coal tits. Loved it here will for sure be back.

  • 4/5

Good spot. Had the place to myself last night (Friday night, early March). I’d say no more than 10 cars drove past overnight, so pretty quiet. Lots of fishermen arriving 7am onwards, but there chatter wasnt overly loud. Few bins around too which is handy.

  • 3/5

Arrived here late at night, after we left our fantastic spot in Exmoor NP. Unexpectedly there was a lot of traffic flying by and chatting people until past midnight. Surprised with the surroundings when we woke up though!

  • 5/5

Great spot to relax and chill during the day. We were the only camper over night. Which was peaceful no traffic overnight so great night sleep.

  • 5/5

Great spot, nice views, some great walks. Fun watching hopeless fly fishermen fail at catching fish lol! we were the only van there overnight. Quiet too, hardly saw any vehicles all day or night

  • 5/5

Great spot next to the reservoir, nice and quiet with barely any traffic coming by. We were the only van staying overnight and didn't really see anyone until the next morning when a couple of guys were fishing on the water.

  • 5/5

Perfect place to stay, only a few cars passing. We were the only van there, nice and quiet just listening to the fish jump out the water. Would definitely return

  • 5/5

Comfy nights sleep! So peaceful and a lovely view at sunset. Only a few cars passing here and there, pretty flat too and really quiet

  • 5/5

Nice quiet place - no 4G.

  • 5/5

Great quiet spot for one night, No restriction signs. Level parking and stunning views of the reservoir. Narrow country roads so not suitable for motorhomes, van's are ok. The reservoir is for private fishing only. Fishermen there till late evening and then back early morning. We were the only ones there apart from two cars with kids who stayed for an hour then left.

  • 4/5

we stayed overnight, it was quiet .woke up to a lovely view . not allowed to walk around water but woodland walks nearby .
