(KY8 4HT) Leven - Promenade

Thanks to the Fife Coast and Countyside Trust for providing this lovely place. Sadly abused. Friday night all 10 designated spaces full. 8 vans in non designated spaces. 3 in disabled bays only 2 of which displaying a badge. We risk losing places like this. Although the donation boxes have been nicked it’s no excuse not to pay. We can donate on the Trust’s website. Only £5.

Nice quiet space which is now free as the donations box has been stolen!! Lots of spare bays right next to the sea.

A quiet place to stay directly next to the beach. The donation box is next to the sign of overnight parking bay 7.

A good parkup for access to the local beach and town, felt safe and secure. No boy racers on the night we were there despite our initial concerns. Ample space around and big bays. Happy to pay the £5 donation in the box located at bay 1 near the holiday park, so the local area can keep park ups like this going for us all to enjoy. Plenty of bins and toilets during the day. We will be back!

Good points: - designated parking spaces for motorhomes/campers -nice beach and also grassed area next to parking -nearby toilets although only open until 16:30 Bad points: - unti social behaviour - weed smell Had to leave as we didn't think we would have a had a good night sleep

Quelques places autorisées pour la nuit le long de la plage. Parfait pour une nuit malgré le bruit de la mer ^^ Les enfants se sont régalés avec la grande aire de jeux face à la mer.

Big thanks to fife Council for all motorhome Bay so please donate, Cracking spot, most bays r level, right on sea front, golf course on tuther side, toilets 100 yards, town centre all within a mile walk, love it in Scotland as u r made to feel really welcome, defo come back, lev nowt behind

Another fantastic stop provided by FCCT, once again Fife leading the way for providing safe spots for campervans. Well worth the £5 for a safe night, bins and a public loo just a walk away. Please pay for £5 as we do not want to lose these beautiful spots along the Fife coast.

A great parkup in marked bays by the beach. Some traffic through the day and a couple of boy racers around 10pm but a very quiet night. We enjoyed a walk along the beach to Lower Largo and saw plenty of seals on the rocks at low tide. There is an honesty box for a suggested £5 donation which we were happy to pay.

A fantastic overnight park up, good facilities for disposing of rubbish and lovely walks along beach. Very quiet overnight. Honesty box. Added bonus of being able to see the aurora last night.

Decent enough spot with designated spaces

seuls quelques emplacements avec numéro sont autorisés. Très grande aire de jeux et accès à la plage pour le plus grand plaisir des enfants. Du passage sur la route et un réveil matinal vers 5h30 par les tondeuses du golf à proximité immédiate mais ça dépanne bien !

Beautiful and relaxing, beautiful beach

Super emplacement très calme et gratuit. Vue sur la mer d'un côté et le golf de l'autre. De la place pour une dizaine de CC (nous étions seulement 5). Facile à trouver.

Excellent set up. 10 Clear and defined large spaces for any vehicle, I car camp, with tax/insurance and MOT. Stayed for 2nights, no issues. There are 3 separate donation boxes, suggested £5 per night, no excuses not to donate as boxes are on same post as information sign. motorhomes parked in the non overnight spaces will be ticketed in the morning as wardens around early.

Excellent spot for motorhomes and campervans. There’s properly designated spaces now, showing clear signs for motorhomes, painted on the road at each bay. The sign indicates a donation of £5, but it doesn’t say how to pay it and I couldn’t see a secure box anywhere to deposit the cash (maybe that will appear at some point soon). The picture I took of the sign, was taken 7th April 2024.

Good thanks to the Fife Council and the local authorities for making this place so welcoming for visitors, brilliant effort ! People always talk up Scottish hospitality but actions speak louder than words. This place is a great stop. Please help look after it too.

stayed here overnight on 24 Sep 2023 great views no restrictions we counted 15 campers with room for more close to town ( walking distance)

Quelques locaux ayant besoin de compenser leur manque virilité font des va-et-vients sur l'allée dans leurs voitures moches et bruyantes jusqu'à minuit. Sinon bon spot. Une lifeguard locale y passe elle-même la nuit dans son van

I am local and this is 100% free overnight parking. Ignore the 1st description. Good overnight parking spot next to the beach. Room for easily 10 or more campers. I suspect the local council will at some point put a charge or restrictions at some point as it becomes more popular, but as of 29/6/23 its free with overnight parking.

We visited Leven and stayed on the beach road just down from the caravan park. There were other campers staying overnight. There are no restriction signs on the road but there is in the car parks along the front. Toilet and a short walk into town.

This parking is on the side of a road that only gives access to a caravan park and the beach so there is no general passing traffic. Close to a children’s playground and public toilets and adjacent to a lovely sandy beach. Great free spot to park overnight. Highly recommend.
