    Perfect place for a stay.

  • 5/5

Stayed here after visiting the nec. It’s council owned not owned by pub. Was a great stop we used the pub for food and drinks and meet a few other motorhomers in there. Had a great night. Others had left rubbish. But we left no trace as you should. Great stop highly recommended

  • 5/5

My first night sleeping in my car (from now on my life) quiet car park next to a busy road Not too much noise though Didn't visit the pub it's called the Bridge House that's useful because the entrance to this car park is quite hidden A couple of benches and a stream Other camper vans parked I will be sleeping here again

  • 5/5

If you use the pubs toilets then have the courtesy to buy a drink, and ffs dont litter! Users giving us all a bad name here

  • 5/5

Nice car park. Quiet despite being close to a road. Coop and pubs nearby. Great if travelling up and down the country. Great phone signal. Plenty of room. Would use again!

  • 5/5

A really ace stop over. No services but adjacent to a pub (which doesn't own the carpark) friendly bar staff. excellent Coop with fresh bakery items and coffee for breakfast. There are other eating options as well. oh, its near the main road but really wasn't a problem.

  • 5/5

What a great experience we had as an overnight stop back up to Scotland from Dover. Yes, it's just a car park, but we had plenty of space to park, flat, earplugs from 0530hrs, nice couple of pints from a friendly young girl, friendly locals. No food, so went to Flames Indian restaurant less than 5 mins walk. Best Indian food ever. Great market opposite on Wednesday. Many thanks to the pub.

  • 5/5

Fantastic stop over. Friendly staff in pub where we enjoyed a drink , sadly kitchen already closed so visited The Spread Eagle. Food was amazing

  • 5/5

Nice friendly pub and lovely village to discover! We liked the ‘picknicktafel’ very much. Thanks for having us!

  • 4/5

As a couple who live full time, 12 months of the year, in their motorhome and have parked here a few times, we have always found it to be a great place to stop. Lots of space to park. Bit of noise at closing time. But otherwise no problems. Please pay a visit to the pub, it's really friendly and good beer and food. Close to shops.

  • 5/5

  • 4/5

Fab place to stop. 9 other vans parked when we arrived at 11pm but still plenty of space. Sadly arrived too late to try out the pubs, but we did try the little cafe in town (good cooked breakfast - cash only) and picked up some pasties and cake from the lovely bakery (Jasper’s). Important to support local businesses if using free facilities!! -1 star because it’s quite noisy (road/rail).

  • 5/5

Great park up, nice pint of Guinness what more can you ask for.

  • 5/5

Perfect for an over night stop off on the way up North. Quiet and felt safe. More places like this would be welcome across the country.

  • 5/5

Easy flat and quiet stop over on the way up North - 4 other vans parked up for the night

  • 3/5

I'm a full-time vanlifer. and have parked here many times . Very rarely will you be parked without another camper here. Lots of parking spaces, friendly and welcoming locals. Pub next to the car park dose food and drink. Which is reasonably priced or there is a upmarket posh place just a 2 min walk away. Shop and a Chinese across the road. Quite a bit of road noice. Lots of charity shops

  • 5/5

Lovely flat car park, no restriction at all, pub next door is a nice place for a meal.

  • 5/5

Good night rest, the noise was very acceptable for us in an non isolated van. Shops nearby, and a costa for a good coffee in the morning. Only sad part where the other campers this time, not respecting others sleep..

  • 5/5

Very good stopover, noise from Road and Train, but good nights sleep. Bakers in town ( out of car park, turn left, Jasper's)is excellent value, opens 8am weekdays, great hot food for Breakfast. Suggest if leaving on a Wednesday or a Saturday exit by 9.00am as car park gets busy as Market opposite.

  • 5/5

Stopped for one night on a Thursday. Lovely little town with a fabulous bakery, pubs and shops. A little road noise which didn’t bother us and had a great nights sleep.

  • 4/5

Très bien pour passer une nuit sur le trajet malgré le bruit de la route à proximité. Pubs et commerces juste à côté.

  • 5/5

convenient location when travelling North or Southbound. spent a quiet and peaceful night there

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Great stopover but do not arrive before 6pm otherwise carpark is full. We arrived at 1pm on a Tuesday and couldn’t park. Returned after 6pm and carpark was empty apart from one more van. Great shops in town. Walked upto Costa for coffee and cake. Lovely bakery - Jaspers. Has a lovely meal at The Boat. Great food , excellent value. Market Wednesday/Saturday.

  • 5/5

Great stop over plenty of pubs chippy chinese canal walks and market just over the road on Wed and Sat

  • 5/5

stayed Saturday night only 3 others there. Nice stop over. Chinese take away opposite side of road. pubs in town and near so good to be in centre. would definitely use again.

  • 5/5

Great stop over. I arrived after 8pm on Saturday and 2 other campers were already there which made me feel a little better. Very quiet after 9pm. Flat too!

  • 5/5

Great little stopover. Traffic noise wasn’t bad at all. Very peaceful Shops bars all a few minutes walk and close to M6 Brilliant

  • 4/5

Stayed one night great stop over little noise shops and pub within 5 mins walk would definitely use again

  • 4/5

Good park up for day or night. Road is a bit busy, depends what you’re used to whether you are bothered by it. Pub and locals friendly, they do 2 meals for £12 up until 5-6 ish. We didn’t eat as the kitchen was closed for some work that night. Huge very popular market across the street on Wednesday and Saturdays. Would certainly stop there again.

  • 5/5

No facilities but there’s a pub, a shop and Chinese less than a minute away. Some train and road noise but great access off M6. Felt safe and would definitely use again.

  • 5/5

Great place to stop.we had carvery at pub too .staff where great ,yes there was noise in the morning but nothing too much I'm a light sleeper and didn't notice too much

  • 3/5

Entrance is next to Bridge House pub/Hotel but approach slow or you will miss it Flat surface car park close to river and road. Noise starts about 6am and then constant so park on back of car park. Motor Homes can reverse over grass.

  • 4/5

Arrived late and left early. A nice free stop over. Noise from both the road and railway but nothing to excessive. As has been said the entrance is easy to miss. Marked down due to noise

  • 3/5

It’s free. It’s a nice town. It’s close to shops, pubs and takeaways. There is a bit of road noise but that’s not unusual. We had a Chinese from the takeaway across the road, not recommended

  • 4/5

Good stop over close to M6 north or south bound. Some road noise but quietened later. Plenty of space mainly level.

  • 4/5

Spent 1 night here no complaints other than noisy road other than that great,oh and a lovely Chinese takeout over the road

  • 5/5

PLEASE stop dumping your rubbish in the pubs own bins. This park up is a council car park and as such it’s currently Free to park up. Carry on and the council will ban us, like other councils do. Respect the area. Enjoy. Eat n drink in the pub. Use council bins. Or take it with you. Here tonight and if it carries on dumping waste the park up will be lost.

  • 3/5

Calme la nuit mais très bruyant en journée en raison de la circulation.

  • 3/5

It’s a decent sized free car park run by the council. Entrance is right next to the pub, blink and you’ll miss it. We arrived very late in our motorhome and got a space. The noise from the bridge road kept me awake all night, which is the reason for the three stars. If you’re a heavy sleeper you might be ok with that. Some picnic tables and a place for the dog to wee. Thank you Penkridge council.
