Four designates motorhome parking spots in the first Bay and motorhomes not allowed to go into the rest of the car park. Nice views. No facilities. Only official overnight parking in Troon and black water disposal point now on North Shore Road, Barassie. 1 April to 31 October 2024.And perhaps a little unromantic due to the industrial activities and noise from the sawmill. But for a nightly stay perfect and quiet, apart from that and the birds ☺ 'Wee Hurrie'
restaurant and take away around the corner. You can ask any car drivers blocking the parking to please move down the car park with their chips.

Vier ausgewiesene Wohnmobilstellplätze in der ersten Bucht. Wohnmobile dürfen den restlichen Parkplatz nicht betreten. Schöne Aussicht. Keine Einrichtungen. Nur offizielle Übernachtungsparkplätze in Troon und Abwasserentsorgungsstation jetzt an der North Shore Road, Barassie. 1. April bis 31. Oktober 2024.

Good views and a nice walk. Extremely windy though and the sawmill is much louder than I anticipated for, it's very loud and starts at 6.30am

  • 3/5

Great views, close to town and ‘ The Wee Hurrie’ No facilities but toilets at Morrisons less than 5 mins away. Nice walks and woke this morning to seals on the rocks. Can’t complain about the noise from the sawmill (ventilation system started up at 6am) it’s free with great views

  • 3/5

Lovely spot despite being behind a sawmill, but not ideal for lone women at dusk. While walking with my dog, a man followed me to the car park. Luckily, it was busy with motorhomes and cars. I told a passing dog walker, got into my van, and locked up. The man peered through the window before leaving. The and the man’s behaviour, checked I was okay and said to honk if he came back.

  • 4/5

  • 4/5

The factory seems to shut down at 15:00 on a Friday. Excellent sea view but a bit exposed to winds . As mentioned cars join us to enjoy their chippy tea. The factory starts again at 08:30 Saturday!

  • 4/5

Quiet. Mill is not operational right now. Nice views. No facilities but great location after an incredible meal at Scott’s.

  • 4/5

There are 4 designated motorhome spots, but get occupied by cars unfortunately... the board nearby literally says it's fine and designed for overnight stays but motorhomes not allowed further up. Seems like a great spot, we only stopped to fish a bit.

  • 2/5

  • 4/5

Beautiful view. Nothing to say overnighting not allowed. Nice shore walk into town. Sawmill a bit noisy but earplugs are my friend!

  • 2/5

2 stars only for the view stayed on a friday, extremly noisy and busy with locals blaring music, talking and getting in and out of cars up until around midnight ok only as a last resort or if you have a super early ferry

  • 4/5

2nd time staying here for ferry crossing, beautiful spot with bins. Some cars park in spaces but leave at night. Factory makes a lot of noise from 6.30am which is the only real downside, it is very loud!

  • 4/5

Lovely view, nice walk along the front. Sawmill next to it but stops for the night so you can get a good nights sleep. Lots of nice places to eat in Troon. Lots of room for a large motorhome. Until April seems to be the only spot to park in Troon until the designated spot opens up again.

  • 4/5

Free parking as app and location code not working for this location. Cars were parked in the 4 bay zones for motorhomes but just be patient as they do leave after eating there chips from the Wee Hurrie round the corner which was fantastic. Did have some noise from the sawmill that stopped at 22.00 until 06.30 not too much of a problem as had really nice views over looking the sea.

  • 1/5

Impossible to pay for parking tried for the last couple of hours downloaded the app and tried calling . Impossible

  • 3/5

Great place for 4 campers/motorhomes. Arrived here for breakfast after spending the night next to Prestwick airport on the beachfront, naughtboy parking. Wish I had done my research yesterday for this spot. £10 from 1800 to 0900 next day. The only problem is the noise from a large extractor at the Woodyard behind it. Not sure if this is a 24 hr operation

  • 3/5

4 newly designated motorhome bays. free to park during the day from 9am to 6pm. Overnight from 6pm it's £10 per night. local chippie is amazing. Seen 2 wee seals from the van which was a bonus. Nice to walk the dog along the coast. Sawmill quiet overnight but started early. It's absolutely fine if you're not a light sleeper.

  • 2/5

  • 4/5

The front car park has now been marked out for motorhomes and campervans only. 4 bays and now charged at £10 per night. It must be newly done as people are still parking their cars up there whilst they eat their fish and chips (which are over £10 a go now). No motorhomes or campervans now allowed in the other car park. Bins in car park. Good 4G signal on O2, EE and 3

  • 5/5

great spot, excellent view! no services, only bins. good for a night around Troon as not many other spots around. some noise from factory opposite but nothing to complain about

  • 4/5

Thanks for this recommendation. Undisturbed night in lovely spot right by the sea. Wee Hurry shuts at 8pm, by the way.

  • 1/5

Yes, nice view. However, we arrived about 8pm, eat and settled down. One more camper there. About 11pm we got egged. Sounded like a stone hitting the motorhome. Couldn't settle after that so went elsewhere.

  • 4/5

A short walk to shops and beach. Busy during the day and quiet at night.

  • 5/5

Brilliant stopover, nice walk into town too.

  • 4/5

great little stop, flat and great views. busy through the day.

  • 4/5

Amazing views, good fish and chip shop round the corner. Next to large wood processing plant which could annoy some people, however we had a peaceful night. Nice walk along the seafront into town with range of shops/pubs/eating places.

  • 4/5

Busy with walkers, fisherman, photographers etc till dark, then occasional cars. Quiet at 8pm. If there are no spaces at the beginning there are parking spaces further down for smaller Campervans or eight at the end room for 3 larger vans. Chip shop closed till the new year.

  • 3/5

View is amazing, very busy in the day as it seems people come here to have chippy from the wee hurrie. Very windy at night.

  • 4/5

Stayed last night, busy during the afternoon, early evening with walkers, fishermen etc. Very peaceful from 9.30pm. Plenty of space for vans, only 4 Motorhomes stayed last night. Lovely sea view. Highly recommend

  • 5/5

Amazing view, quiet night, felt safe.

  • 4/5

Stayed in car park June 2021. When arrived there was 3 other motorhomes already parked up, but, still plenty of parking spaces. Maybe not the prettiest journey traveling in (through industrial estate), but, once parked up facing the sea it has nice views. And free. Woke and had breakfast with great sea views. Carpark is secluded and out the way,and so, felt safe.

  • 4/5

Roughly 30 spaces, some cars enjoying chippys and the view, 3 campers stayed, cars left around 8pm, then the mad team showed up, noisy but harmless left around 10pm, "picked up there trash" some factory noise stopped around 6pm, woke to sound of birds, great wee place, need more campers down here.

  • 4/5

Free overnight parking. No facilities, but plenty of bins. 2 parking areas separated by a nice grass section and benches overlooking the sea. Beautiful sunset. At 8pm carpark very busy with people eating their chips but all cars were away an hour or so later. Saw mill cutting saws loud until 10pm. Some noise from forklifts throughout the night so would definitely recommend earplugs.

  • 4/5

Wonderful views, quiet other than wind. Sawmill stopped working at 6pm. Would thoroughly recommend Wee Hurrie’s fish and chip shop only 3 minutes walk.

  • 4/5

  • 4/5

This place was great for a quiet night, we stayed in the car park behind the wee Hurrie, which I must say gets 10 stars from me for the quality of fish and chips fantastic, now if you want to share your evening with other vans before you get to harbour gates turn left there is space for a few vans there, but if its full turn right into the car park of the wee Hurrie.

  • 4/5

Nice and quiet spot, the wind and rain can be very blustery because of the sea but a beautiful place all round. No toilets etc but there’s a bin

  • 3/5

Windswept basic pot holes tarmac lots chip shop customers using car park

  • 3/5

Windswept but quiet apart from chip shop customers

  • 2/5

We went there around 6pm, ready to stay the night. After about an hour a van turned up, and a couple of guys doing drugs, we then left as did not feel safe. Was a lovely spot, but we moved to Irvine, no point staying somewhere and not feeling 100%.

  • 3/5

Nice views out to sea but a wood yard the other way! The wee chippy is busy on a Sat with long queues and cars are constantly coming in to eat their fish suppers so not very relaxing.

  • 5/5

Yes it is behind a sawmill but not excessive noise we parked at the end of the 2nd car park and enjoyed the view (when the weather allowed). chip shop about 2 min walk at the harbour where you can watch the 4 seals that live there while you wait.

  • 3/5

  • 3/5

Stopped here for a Friday night, right next to the sea with great view. Had a few cars come and go but otherwise quiet. There are two separate parking areas, one level the other not. No toilets but there is a Morrisons 2 minutes up the road.

  • 3/5
