Spot tranquille pour dormir. Réveillés tôt car beaucoup de randonneurs viennent. Nous avons quand même eu droit à des jeunes qui font des drifts sur les routes gelées jusque tard le soir.
Parking Ott. Zone populaire pour se garer et gravir Mournes, en particulier la route vers Slieve Doan. Occupé pendant la journée surtout le week-end, mais serait vide la nuit. Toilettes à proximité au parking Spelga Dam.
Ott car park. Popular area to park and climb Mournes, particular the route to Slieve Doan. Busy during the day especially at weekends, but would be empty at night. Toilets nearby at Spelga Dam car park.
Ott-Parkplatz. Beliebtes Gebiet zum Parken und Besteigen von Mournes, insbesondere die Route nach Slieve Doan. Tagsüber beschäftigt, besonders am Wochenende, aber nachts wäre es leer. Toiletten in der Nähe am Parkplatz Spelga Dam.
Aparcamiento Ott. Zona popular para aparcar y escalar Mournes, especialmente la carretera a Slieve Doan. Ocupado durante el día, especialmente los fines de semana, pero estaría vacío por la noche. Aseos cercanos en el aparcamiento de Spelga Dam.
Parcheggio ott. Area popolare per parcheggiare e scalare Mournes, in particolare la strada per Slieve Doan. Occupato durante il giorno soprattutto nei fine settimana, ma sarebbe vuoto di notte. Servizi igienici nelle vicinanze del parcheggio Diga di Spelga.
Parkeren Ot. Populair gebied om te parkeren en Mournes te beklimmen, vooral de weg naar Slieve Doan. Overdag druk, vooral in het weekend, maar 's nachts leeg. Toiletten vlakbij op parkeerplaats Spelgadam.

8mai9520/08/2025plein de voitures jusqu'à 20h. on a attendu que le parking se vide pour se stationner. nuit calme malgré la route et accessible aux grands camping car. réseau faible mais départ de randonnée le lendemain matin. merci

Good views. Pretty quiet after 10ish, however by the time I woke up it was full. Would ether arrive late or super early. No height restrictions, fairly weak phone signal, bins on site, can park over night. Good coverage if you have starlink
fermorpl193025/04/2025Parked here in the day to do a walk. It gets very busy with walkers and anything longer than 6 metres will struggle to manoeuvre. Would be OK for overnight but could be busy from early until late with coming and going.

On a voulu s'y arrêter, mais parking complet, plein de voitures, malgré qu'il était passé 18h et mois d'octobre. Au bord d'une petite route. Parking propre.

Conviennent spot to get an early start on the Slieve hike leaving this point. High traffic tonight because of Aurora borealis sighting.

a wonderful quiet spot - we came here after leaving spelga dam site. it was empty at 11pm. very windy. carpark was nearly full in the morning as we woke up, 8-9 cars full of friendly hikers. views were amazing. a bit of EE service.

Nice and sheltered location. Only downside was there was a very worn van in the corner with pulled curtains which looked liked it was there permanently. Didn’t feel comfortable staying next to it overnight so left for the campsite down the road.

We stayed a very rainy night. It does say no camping on the sign but shows a picture of a tent. We normally don't like staying at no camping signs but it was such bad weather and we wanted to do the hike. No problems and people were friendly the next day. The hike up Doan mountain was surprisingly fantastic!

Musste von der Straße wegen dem Sturm, war das einzige was ich gefunden hatte wo man etwas Windabdeckung wenn man den letzten Platz nimmt. Vereinzelt nachts mal ein Auto auf der Straße sonst ruhig. Morgen waren zwei Autos von wandern da. Stand hier an einem Wochentag

stayed here on sat 23/9/23. busy during the day with hikers, but empty by 8pm. two bins and great views. we sheltered behind a raised bank and trees from high winds and heavy rain. no bother from anyone. would stay again. three phone signal was patchy but we found a spot that worked for us.

Small flat parking lot that is a departure of few great hikes. It was packed on sunny Sunday with cars parking along the road as well. Everybody was gone by 8 pm and we were all alone. Very quiet night. By 8 am on sunny Monday morning parking was full again. :) OK phone signal.

Not the biggest area with only about 8 spaces. Can fit a larger vehicle in if it's not too busy. Does get busy during the day with lots of walkers. Great place to park to go for a walk. 2 bins. Quiet at night. Decent enough signal on EE, nothing on Three

Lovely peaceful spot. After 10pm I was alone, only one or two cars passed all night. No service.
