The 1/5 review is blatantly a local not a camper, no evidence of a height restriction going in and the Council person moving him on in the middle of the night well they don't work bank holidays so certainly won't be out mid night. It's a great spot, friendly locals, great for dogs and cycling. There was one youths car midnight parked behind me, revved their engine a few times for a laugh and left
I arrived during the day, it was very quiet and only the odd car coming and going. However there was trash all over the place and signs of this being an evening hangout spot with fast food wrapping and beer cans and bottles everywhere, so I decided not to stay. More of a slope than you’d think from the pictures. Not for me, I didn’t feel unsafe but I did feel uncomfortable.
What a great place to stay the night, I stayed here along with another camper and felt very safe. Good to walk the dog in the evening/morning. No services or bins but just take your rubbish with you ! If passing I would recommend this park up
Super Platz für eine Nacht auf dem Weg nach Scotland. Haben sehr ruhig geschlafen und die Autobahn ist kaum zu hören. Sehr zu empfehlen! Leider immer wieder Müll zu finden. Bitte respektiert den Platz und die Natur und nehmt euren Müll auch wieder mit!
Une nuit tranquille sur ce petit parking avec une jolie vue sur ́la campagne anglaise, tout près de la M1, que l'on entend au loin sans ce que cela gêne. Parking très légèrement en pente.
Great spot with a lovely view! Quiet except from a few dog walkers but they were friendly. Short walk down to a fishing lake and close to the motorway but doesn’t impact auditory noise!
great little car park. yes it was sloped but not too bad. was really quiet all night. great area for walking the dogs too. as said before the entrance to the road is easily missed. it's just before the Starbucks drive thru entrance. there is also a dog poo bin on the road in, very handy. I had no issues at all on the Friday night I stayed. I had great phone coverage too
Great stop over, few cars arriving for walks til about 9pm and an extra random few going fishing a bit later As mentioned before it's on a slope, can hear the m1 but it's more like a breeze noise, didn't bother us at all No three/id signal but EE was usable Handy Starbucks at the end of the road
Fantastic stopover...look out for The turning it's the small one just before Starbucks.. lovely walk through the woods down to the pond..will definitely keep thus in mind for the future
handy stop over from M1. lots of dog walking. very quiet Friday night.
Large parking area with no restriction signs and relitively flat. Lovely peaceful location with footpaths straight from it, surrounded by trees. We stopped one night mid week and were the only ones there. Very faint road noise from the M1 but we didn't notice it once the van doors were shut. Café within walking distance, however no facilities at the parking area.
Been Moved off by Council in the Early Early hours. Height barrier is being put in on Entrance due to antisocial behaviour and due to amount of Campers stopping overnight and leaving litter. youths also like to use this spot to play music and smoke drugs. Personally cannot recommend. Fishing lake is also Members Only

Nice quiet place for a nights sleep A few dog walkers,only a few cars turned up then went. Lovey for a walk too would recommend,as said not easy to find
Spent the night here, arrived about 4pm just a couple of cars. Once they had left quiet all night. Heard a couple of vehicles come and go. Found another van in the morning. excellent dog walking with woods and trails and a small fishing Lake. The turning into the lane leading to the parking area is easy to miss and the short lane narrow but big enough for most vans. would recommend.
