Another big dirt layby next to a road. Maybe space for 20 vehicles. It's rural so it will be reasonably quiet after hours and it's not National Trust so I don't think anyone will move you on. The circular walk of Loweswater Lake passes by this spot so it's ideal for a base camp. When I stayed there, there was an honesty box opposite the phone box for tea and coffee. It's level, no sloping. No mobile signal (ID Mobile/3).

Kein Mobilfunksignal (ID Mobile / 3).

Great spot, very quiet, lovely views and felt safe here overnight as a lone female traveller

Stopped over last night. One other vehicle there when we arrived but had it to ourselves from 19.30. Quiet spot, only local traffic. Great views and a good starting point for local walks, we left it there today while we did Fellbarrow and Low Fell as the OS route starts from the lay-by. No sign of the aforementioned honesty box of cakes sadly.

Good spot near Loweswater for trails. Be sure to park in phone box/defib lay-by as the one further down has signs placed by locals which aren’t very welcoming! Be aware that roads to this location are narrow and single track with signs saying not over 6ft 6 except local buses.

We arrived about 3pm and there were a few cars parked there, they'd all gone by 6:30ish so we reversed into the wider middle section. Very quiet overnight and slept solid until 8am when a few cars turned up. No-one else there and no-one bothered us.

Great little spot for the night. Very quiet and not much traffic after 9pm. We were the only ones parked up last night. There is a smaller lay-by a few hundred yards down the lane with access to the lake but it does get busy!

Stopped here as the park up the road only had 1 space on a slope. This area was flat and wide enough area to not be right next to the road traffic passing by. We got signal on the vans WiFi router with network 3, 2 Mbps down, 0.5 Mbps down if anyone was interested

Very close to gate with a beautiful short walk to the lake. lots of dog walkers evening and morning but all nodded hello, noone seemed to object to us parking here. Peaceful throughout the night. Found a flat patch
