We wilden oorspronkelijk op de betalende plek aan de overkant van de brug staan, maar die was volgeboekt. Het werd al donker dus we besloten aan de rivier te blijven staan. De plek is goed genoeg voor 1 nachtje, maar wees je bewust van de lawaaierige weg. Je moet ook een beetje zoeken hoe je je kan positioneren want er zijn diepe putten.
Good for one night. Road is kinda loud.

We used this Aire as a stopover on route north after spending 2 months in Spain/Portugal. This is an idyllic location, we were lucky to get a place on the canal side with EHU. It was really nice watching the narrowboats going through the lock. Fresh water, grey waste and black tank, £15 Good value. The road was very quiet. Lovely dog walk along the canal to Penkridge. We will return.

Good spot right next to the canal, convenient for a quick overnight stay. The road next to it wasn’t that busy. We were lucky enough that in our place there weren’t any potholes, though I need to mention that next to us there were plenty of potholes.
An attractive spot alongside the canal but also alongside a fairly busy and noisy road. Space for around four motorhomes. Level with easy access. No services but it's free. OK for an overnight stop. I understand the house opposite offers overnight parking with services - price unknown.

Lots of potholes, huge puddles and uneven surface, bright light (like a searchlight) shining from the house onto the layby and right on the road - didnt look a great spot when I pulled up to be honest. At least the road wasnt that busy. I decided against it and stayed in the spot down the road which was much nicer.
Good spot for a quick overnight stop if you need a kip on a long run, but nothing more imo. It was right on the side of a road, and near houses, so felt a bit like we were kipping in someones garden.
An absolutely fantastic place to stay. We came for a night or two, and ended up staying almost a week. Highly recommend. Lovely walk along the canal into Penkridge. The people here are super friendly and helpful. ☆☆☆☆☆
Muchas gracias Sue por tu amabilidad. compramos unos saquitos para el WC portátil y nos dejaron vaciar las aguas grises. El entorno es muy bonito y curioso la exclusa del canal está transitada de día y es muy curioso ver cómo pasan de un lado a otro del canal. Frente a la tienda, pagando 10£ puedes pernoctar con todos los servicios, electricidad incluida.

Pretty location, we just stopped for lunch, great to look at the narrow boats. Lovely but on a very busy fast road ( in the daytime anyhow)
What an amazing location to stay by the canal. Just a small layby suitable for a few vans. Road noise from M6 but a lovely spot by the cottage. The owners of the canal cottage are very friendly. Plenty of boats to sit and watch going up and down.
