It is a fantastic location with a lot of space; however, it gets mentally busy from 7:40, with people arriving from 5:30 to get out into the hills; apart from that, it's a great, quiet location.

free car park which is very unusual for this area. unfortunately no overnight parking but great for during the day
No overnight signs now here. They seem to have gone up all over the lakes this week since the new legislation.
Big gravelly car park surrounded by trees. Feels very secluded at night - there were a few cars when we arrived, which all left except one. We had some noise in the morning from early arrivals. No amenities or facilities and no phone signal.
Flat, big car park no sign stating no over night. Not national trust. Early noise due to car park ramblers. No views.
There was no sign saying we couldn't spend the night here. Surrounded by trees so sheltered from bad weather/sun, peaceful, flat, and very short walk to the lake. Plenty of space but only 2 of us slept here - many came early morning walking though. The road to get here a bit narrow/winding, so if your vehicle is big avoid peak times
