Danke für die kostenfreie Übernachtung, dass war auch leider das Beste. Hier kam die erste echte Kulturschändung unserer Reise und das am ersten Tag: Jameson – serviert in einem Cider-Glas… inklusive Patina der letzten 25 Gäste. Die Guinness Gläser trugen ebenfalls die Vorzeichen der letzten 10 Gäste. Essen gab es auch keins und das am Sonntag 18:30 Uhr. Bedient wurde auch nicht.
great little pub stop over friendly landlord & staff good homemade food had a very peaceful night hardly any road noise even though it was just off the motorway carpark a good size and pretty flat there was a couple of motorhomes and vans with us and still alot of room great we could take our furbaby in with us bonus dog friendly defo recommended and defo go back
Very nice pub with superb staff and food. We had meals and drinks including our 5 year old for less than £60. Car park is massive and very quiet with a just a bit of road noise. We will definitely be visiting again

Perfect night stop off. We arrived about 6pm and had meals and drinks with our two dogs and 7.5m Motorhome. Plenty of space in a large car park. Bert friendly and welcoming staff. If you really concentrate, you can just hear the A1…. We spiel definitely come back.

Really lovely and welcoming. Didn’t manage to get food, only serving until 7pm but had a drink instead. Lots of spaces and pretty quiet for being near to the road. There is a valeting tent on the right - wouldn’t want to get in the way of it/customers
Eine Übernachtung auf dem Parkplatz war kein Problem. Sehr freundlicher Service und gemütliche Atmosphäre. Leider war die Küche um 20:15 Uhr schon zu, als wir ankamen, wir haben dann nur etwas getrunken. Die Straße und die Autobahn sind recht laut. Die Toilette ist ok. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich.

Nice stopover just south of Newcastle, not far off the A1, large flat carpark with pretty beer garden, food was lovely as were the staff, no overnight toilet, but that wasn’t a problem , Wi-Fi was available, password given by bar staff, we were there on a Monday and a little folk band and singer were on, that added a bit of entertainment and relaxation. We must return❤️
Haben abends in der Kneipe getrunken und gegessen - war lecker :) Toiletten in der Kneipe nicht so gut, geht aber. Ohne Fragen und ohne Probleme auf dem Parkplatz übernachtet. War ruhig und entspannt. Es stand noch ein weiterer Camper auf dem Parkplatz. Blick hinten auf eine Wiese. Liegt direkt in der Nähe zur Autobahn, sodass man schnell weiter kommt.
great parkup for the night. been a here few times over the last few weeks. food is spot on and a good selection of beers. large flat carpark. owner and staff are helpful and polite. very quiet through the night.
Lovely pub with a nice beer garden , had a pizza which was really nice on a Saturday afternoon sat in the sunshine, I can’t fault this place
Great stop over on our way up to Northumberland. We arrived late on Sunday night and the pub was just closing but owners were happy for us to stay. Pub looks lovely with outside area when the weather gets better.
Good little stop over on the way to Northumberland. Friendly staff and great food. Would recommend for a stop over just bring your bucket for out of hours due to no overnight toilet.
llegamos tarde para cenar, pero consumimos en el bar. fueron muy hospitalarios, nos quedamos una noche en el aparcamiento, donde había otras vans. se oye un poco él tráfico de la autopista, pero nada que impida descansar bien a gusto. repetiríamos sin duda

Absolut empfehlenswert. Super süßes Pub und extrem freundlicher Service. ruhig auch wenn ab und zu mal ein Auto auf der angrenzenden Straße vorbei fährt. Die Distanz zur A1 ist kurz (weniger als 5 Minuten Fahrzeit). die Kühe sind direkt nebenan und die Vögel zwitschern friedlich. sehr schön hier. immer wieder gerne.

Great place. Made to feel welcome, reasonably priced food and a good selection of drinks. Conveniently situated for Beamish Museum.
Food and hospitality were spot on. Definitely recommended . Owner happy to let us stay over in the carpark, no fuss. We will be back.
Stayed here Saturday Night,Great place, lovely people in the pub. Was a last minutiae stop off and didn’t arrive until 9pm and the pub was still very kind and aloud us to stay. Was another camper-van also staying the night. Highly recommend! If I was up this way again I would definitely stay the night.
Lovely welcome, great bar and decent food. Huge level car park which emptied at night and left us and another two vans. Fairly quiet road with the odd car passing throughout the night… great stopover!
Lovely place to stay. Large safe carpark. Pub is super nice and very Covid safe. No electric as far as I could see, so you need to be self sufficient. Had a really peaceful night and then you start hearing traffic around 6am, but it wasn't bad. It's free to stay, just use the bar. Would definitely stay again.
