Belle vue en effet et nous n'avions pas lu tous les commentaires avant de nous y installer ;-) Beaucoup de passages de voitures jusque tard sans la nuit et effectivement, ce parking a sa propre vie nocturne. Mais nous ne nous sommes jamais senti en insécurité et y avons passé une bonne nuit avec 2 ados
Cracking spot. So quiet and close to city centre. Free parking 6pm - 8am and 70p per hour the rest of the time.
A great location for visiting the city. Along the nicely restored quayside walking or cycling. No one bothered us but there is loud traffic noise for a good night’s sleep.
It’s free, full 5g signal. The sandy bit at the bottom is full of deep holes which you can avoid by driving against the hedge. We didn’t realise how deep they were at first so we just drove round them. There’s potential to get blocked in as people park alongside the hedge in the morning, locals park here and walk into work. We had a good night’s sleep, no one bothered us, it was mid week.

we just stayed the night for a gig at the arena and it was spot on, went to the end before the sandy part. ok, lots of litter and a bit untidy, but safe, quiet, and free. We were in a mwb crafter based Grand California size but you could just about out in a lwb and no height restrictios. Definitely would use again.
We kwamen op een zondagmiddag aan. We hebben geen moment een onveilig gevoel gehad. We hebben rustig geslapen. Er zijn veel sporters en wandelaars op de boulevard die voorbijgaan. Op een loopafstand van 30 minuten ben je zo in het centrum. Een stad met 7 indrukwekkende bruggen. Doordeweeks is de parkeerplaats overdag vol met auto's van mensen die in de stad werken.
The carpark itself is quiet with a few cars coming and going. There does appear to be a few dodgy sad lonely old be men hanging around however it seems like most cars coming and going tend to be to smoke weed instead. Not sure what the issue was with parking our motorhome is 7.5m and there is no issue with parking. Just reverse the back end over the grass. The location is right on the edge of the clean air zone charge and a 20 minute walk or £7 Uber to most bars. 5 minutes walk to utilita arena. Parking is free with no signs or restrictions. As a single woman I wouldn’t recommend it but for a place close to the arena or for a night out like us we have had no issues.
Got here in the evening. The spot is beautiful with the river right in front of you. However, I left quickly. During the about 5 minutes I parked here two suspicious cars pulled in while others left. Didn't feel safe at all. I drove to many places in the city, but none of them really felt safe. Apparently there is some kind of dog*ing community spread over the city.

This area isn’t suitable to park if your vehicle is any bigger than a medium wheelbase van, we have a 7.5m Motorhome, car park full, no area to turn other than the grass, this resulting in us sliding and getting stuck, we had to get recovery vehicle who thankfully got us out without any damage. Proceed with caution if in a Motorhome, otherwise a great place for vehicles and vans.
No es recomendable aparcar. Por la tarde entre las 7pm i 9 pm se veia idas i venidas esporadicas de gente con su coche individual en el pequeño espacio ,que daba un poco de miedo y desconcierto.
garée ici pendant une nuit plus une matinée.... franchement endroit top,au bord du tyle, accès au centre de Newcastle en 15-20 minutes.... âpres a partir de 9 h le matin le ce rempli vite.la nuit... quelques jeunes qui faisait du bruit au bout du parkings mais rien de grave.je recommande.et Newcastle est vraiment magnifique.

It's a great spot during the day for visiting the city. I didn't really feel safe at night as I'm a woman and travelling on my own because at 3am 2 guys walked around my car thinking I belong to the dog*ing community. Apparently dog*ing does not mean to take dogs for a walk ;) But if you don't mind that, it's a fine place.
Stayed here for one night (9/8/22). Chose to park on the grass at the far end so we were quite removed from other vehicles. It was a Tuesday so it was quiet, and sunny so no issue with mud. Nice view of the river, good Spoons 10 minutes walk away toward town. I was anxious at bed time due to a couple of reviews, but whilst we we were there, no issues.
really good place to park day or night lots of cars and people sitting in cars not really anything to worry about it is simply because it is a doging area and cruising. they are really not looking for trouble just made myself some supper got to bed and let them get on with it.lol
Dieser Stellplatz ist super, um tagsüber die Stadt zu besuchen (circa 20 min. Fußweg). Allerdings ist er direkt an einem Fußgängerweg, welcher auch viel benutzt wird von Spaziergängern, Joggern und Fahrradfahrern. War für uns für eine Nacht zu belebt und auch zu unsicher. (WoMo 3×8m und noch reichlich Platz für einige mehr)
Rustig plekje niet ver van centrum waar je kan New castle bezoeken, eten en drinken.
Stayed 1 night (Sat) on a hot weekend in July. Free parking, any size motorhome or camper. We parked under the trees for shade. Very quiet. Rubbish bin on site. Right along the river, great for cycling & walking. We would definitely return.
Stayed here for one night (Wednesday) close to the concert arena. car’s coming and going. Very nice spot and a short walk down the quayside to food drink. Definitely recommended.
Nice spot, but I would not recommend it on a weekend. A LOT of cars coming in and out until sunrise. Pretty dubious business happening here.
Stayed here twice with out 7m van. Great spot for the city and nearby arena. Just be careful on the grass/mud area, it rained overnight and we were stuck for a while in the mud
Wir haben hier eine ruhige Nacht verbracht und am nächsten Tag die Stadt angeschaut (ca. 20 Minuten zu Fuß am Fluss entlang).
Parked up for two nights for the football, really nice walk along the river into the city. Couple of cars and vans also parked up during the evening but didn't make too much noise. We parked at the end close to the path underneath the streetlamp for a bit of added comfort when we left to go into the city in the evenings. Would happily park here again.
We stopped here a Monday night. Every now and then, cars coming, stopping for a while and leaving, or some others, even stopping the engine and staying inside the car, and uber drivers peeing. Ended up leaving this place, not feeling safe at all.
Awesome park up, 10 minutes walk into the city, peaceful car park with an amazing view of the river. Stayed overnight, no issues at all.
Friday night stopover with a 6m campervan. Plenty of room to turn a big vehicle. Parked on the grass at the end with a lovely view over the River Tyne. Left the van at 6pm with 2 other cars and got back 3am to an empty carpark. 20 minute walk to the city centre and a £5 Uber back. Very quiet throughout the night and despite not getting up until 10am it was still quiet then. Left at 5pm - 4 cars
Parked here for the day. A good spot for access to city centre. If in area again will try for overnight.
Parked here before, nice, free parking with no restrictions. Good enough size for a good few cars and vans without being too big it attracts all sorts. Maybe get the odd boy racer but because it’s small they soon leave. Had a peaceful sleep with no interruptions, and a great view of the Tyne!
