Parking idéal pour la nuit et vadrouiller autour de Portsmouth. Pas mal de mouvement de voitures à partir de 06:00 (salles de sport à proximité) mais calme la nuit avec parc et chemins pour promenades

excellent location for the ferry. we got off the ferry at 10 pm last night. just a 10 mins drive . then straight back on the motorway first thing today. bins and a bench. it's a busy leisure centre

No problems. Just stayed for the day. - Great to park a 6m van for the day to visit the National Museum of the Royal Navy. Free parking with easy bus directly there. Very friendly man came to chat to us interested in motor homes who lived opposite the car park. He waved us off when we left!

Hinsichtlich Sicherheit Nachts kann ich nichts sagen, aber für einen Tagesbesuch in Portsmouth perfekt. Mit dem Rad geht es über Radwege binnen weniger Minuten bis zu Innenstadt! Zumindest Tagsüber hatte ich jetzt keine Angst um meine Sachen.

Pratique pour un départ en ferry le matin tôt. C'est à 5 min. Bus pour le centre ville à côté. Calme la nuit.

Not really a 5 star location. But 5 stars for convenience. Perfect overnight stop for an early morning ferry.

Perfekter Ort, um kostenlos zu parken und per Fahrrad die Stadt, Hafen etc. zu besichtigen! Wir waren hier 2 Nächte, da wir für das Hafen-Museum noch einen 2. Tag benötigt haben. Einfach wunderbar!

We stood here for 2 nights. Perfect place to go from and visit Portsmouth. Bus 8 takes you for 2 pound per person to the old harbour. After sightseeing we walked back (5 km). During daytime this P is full with cars. Evening and nighttime was quiet. We saw a fox roaming around the overloaded bin. There are 2 other bins towards the grass part with the footpath.

Standard parking lot with some traffic near the walking path. At the time of visit, only the mens shower was working at the sports hall, but that has nothing to do with the parking…

Lovely car park, plenty of spaces and some flat ground. Great staff in the leisure centre, let me have a shower for free. Was pretty busy in the mornings but didn't bother me!

Ideal location for an early morning ferry! More functional than fun and pretty but perfectly safe and quiet.

Had a great night after returning on a delayed ferry. Tucked in a corner watching the foxes playing in the grass. A few cars in the morning, but nothing to disturb a good solid sleep.

A great spot for one night free parking & very quite you can also get free one day pass at the leisure centre we had a workout & showers in the morning it was great

Ideal for an overnight stop before early morning cross channel ferry. Not noisy and no issues. A lovely walk along the Shore Path alongside Alexandra Park. Would definitely stay here again.

Nous avons du fuir pour la même raison que PeterMair du 11/07/2022 : 3 jeunes ados ont enlevé la bâche de nos vélos à 23h30 et ont commencé à essayer de les enlever sans faire de bruit alors que nous étions déjà couchés. Ce sont les secousses du van qui nous ont réveillés et nous les avons fait fuir en ouvrant bruyamment notre lanterneau de cuisine. Ils avaient repéré notre van en début de soirée

Lots of space, super quiet and convenient.

Didn't stay the night. Only used the showers at the leisure centre.... For £2.10 you can't really complain. Basic, but warm. Inquired at reception and you can park all day/night for free. About an hours walk to the Historic Dockyard.

Quiet in the evenings but still a busy location. Just over an hour to walk to the south coast beach, town centre takes about 45mins.

An excellent stop over for early ferry. Very quite and felt safe.

Like anywhere public, it’s not a secure car park and care / precaution should be taken if leaving anything valuable on or in the vehicle. There are areas of the car park which are more secluded but personally I prefer to be under or near lighting rather than in the shadows. Car park is busy during the day.

Take care. This site is not safe. Two youths arrived at 00:30 well equipped to steal bikes from rear of our van. Fortunately we woke and chased them away but only after most locks were cut.

Stayed overnight last night after getting off the ferry (Sunday). Very quiet. Car park seems to be used as an overflow parking facility by locals. Woken by someone collecting their car for work this morning around 6am, which was fair enough.

Excellent place to stay overnight

Great for a night either before or after a ferry crossing. It’s noisy until about 10pm as the leisure centre closes and then opens about 6am. Still a peaceful night. Please respect the car park and use the bins provided so that the council don’t put a stop to this convenient facility.

Stayed one night. No issues. Nothing special

Perfect to wait for a few hours before a ferry crossing. As said before, it was quite busy around 7-8pm, children going to sports I suppose, but it doesn't last.

Useful stop before or after ferry, quiet overnight and felt safe. We were with a couple of other motorhomes. Easy access to Portsmouth port and motorway.

Arrived. Slept. Departed. No problems.

Arrived at 8pm and the car park was quite busy. Still quite a few spots though so parking was not a problem. Night was quiet without any problems either. Didn't use any of the facilities in the centre. For what it is, five stars!
