we arrived in the dark only one truck parked up but we had a quiet night no problems.
Lay by by Crematorium. Sur une colline avec une zone plate au sommet. Utilisé par les camions. Café portable la plupart des matins.

Vorbei am Krematorium. Auf einem Hügel mit einer flachen Fläche oben. Wird von LKWs verwendet. Tragbares Café an den meisten Morgen.

TarbuckR22/01/2025Great place for a night stop. I arrived around 9pm and was fortunate enough to still get a space, even in January! Very quiet and had a good nights sleep.
Crossdog26/11/2024Its a good stop with no facilities . Good signal too so ideal for overnight stop. Yes there is traffic passing but far enough away to not bother. Few friendly truckers while out walking dogs in morning

Arrived late 10pm Saturday, not too busy, found a fairly flat spot near top of the hill. Very warm night so needed vents open and consequently traffic noise was a problem.

Stayed here for one night two weeks running, last week and this week, to break up a long journey. I felt really safe, and there are no restrictions whatsoever. I would say that you would need a back-up plan though, as it gets fuller as the evening goes on. There is a Tesco and Costa nearby. No facilities at all in the lay-by, but perfect for a park/sleep/leave stopover.

Great place to park. Friendly and safe enough for a lay-by. As per other reviews it’s flatter up the top beyond the burger van… who is a friendly dude. Would stay again.

Much flatter if you continue up the hill to where the food van is parked. Slight road noise, but felt very safe and slept well.
EmilyJones22/12/2023perfect spot for an overnight stay. No through traffic and very popular with HGV's. As two women, felt safe and secure. Nice pub and shops about 15 minutes walk away. would definitely stay again.

le parking le long de la route n'est pas très sympa et est bruyant. en revanche le parking du cimetière de l'autre côté de la haie est parfait.

Nice and flat at the top of the hill. Slight noise from nearby road, but not a problem. Slept really well.

All safe, no issues for me on a 7.5m long motorhome. Good TV reception and 4G on EE. cafe open, but did not use.

After driving for hours we decided to find somewhere to stay for the night. This is a truckers stop with a cafe (although we didn't stay long enough for food). It felt very safe, mostly quiet. Although you may hear the odd lorry leave in the night.

After being put off the other two close sights near the town I tried this and it was a peaceful night with slight road noise from the connecting road. Slept like a baby. No amenities.

Fully occupied mostly by trucks when I arrived in the evening, after a long drive. So I was happily surprised to discover the cemetery car park next to the lay by (on the other side of the hedge!) absolutely empty, all for myself! Of course I was most respectful and gone in the first hours of the day, but very helpful! And flat!

A good overnight spot, with road traffic quietened by bushes and trees. Flat road at top of incline.
