Good free place to park to explore the Quarry!
Stationnement de jour assez populaire, avec une vue agréable. Attention cependant, les bus l'utilisent comme rond-point à toute heure de la journée (y compris très tôt le matin), donc garez-vous prudemment.
Fairly popular daytime parking spot, not bad views. Be aware though, buses use this as a turning circle all times of the day (including very early morning) so park considerately.
Tagsüber recht beliebter Parkplatz, gute Aussicht. Beachten Sie jedoch, dass Busse diesen Platz zu jeder Tageszeit (auch am frühen Morgen) als Wendeplatz nutzen. Parken Sie daher rücksichtsvoll.

Noodlesontheroad05/09/2024New signs saying no over night camping was lovely for the day, nice walk from here to the disused quarry and to anglesey barracks, it’s a shame there no over night camping here now, signal wise EE is 5g full bars and speeds of 100mbps, Vodafone signal 3 bars of 4 g 10mbps

We got a knock from police at 10pm, reports of people urinating and defecating next to road / path. checked our details.. 4 vans here guess all got asked... decided to leave... old lady in silver car taking pics earlier and a tall man with a black lab said he was calling the police.. Locals don't want you here... there are no facilities so warning make sure you have inboard wc

Great spot but I was made to feel very unwelcome by what must have been the same person described below. Very abusive shouting and swearing and taking photos of my number plate, therefore we moved to another spot. If you want a quiet night sleep do not stay here.

Gorgeous little spot right at Dinorwic quarry with amazing views, peace and tranquility. HOWEVER i stayed one night and the following morning I was photographed on two occasions by two individuals. I approached the second individual who made it quite clear I wasn’t welcome and said I wasn’t allowed to park there and he had seen me parking up the night before (obviously needs a hobby). Despite the locals opinions there is no signage stating the prohibition of overnight parking.

Parked here numerous times in the past and never had an issue. However had a visit from the same local nutter (red truck) described buy another person here the other night. Banging on vans, and filming occupants, using his dogs to intimidate. Made police aware who say they are investigating. Would encourage any other issues with him to be reported also.

Stayed here Friday night and a nutter local came banging on my van and opened the door shouting abuse at us saying we shouldn’t stay there at around 22:30 (I politely told him where to go) he came back again 10 mins later but this time I wasn’t so polite and he didn’t bother us again, other than that a lovely spot, maybe the locals are getting annoyed with people leaving mess???

The few times I’ve stayed here, Iv had a feeling of unwelcome with some funny looks. Nothings ever been said though. And it is a very good spot - especially if ur planning on climbing
