Pulled up here at about 6 o’clock and was very happy with the spot. Around 7.30, groups of young boys arrived in cars consistently honking and revving their engines. I went for a walk to fill up my water bottle at the water station and was approached by some of the young men in their car and screamed at and called inappropriate names. Felt really unsafe and ended up leaving. Do not recommend staying here at all.

Ein großer Parkplatz der bis Mitternacht recht stark von unterschiedlichen Personen frequentiert wird. Nichts für zarte Gemüter. Nachts relativ ruhig. Tolle Lage direkt am Strand. Kostfrei über Nacht.

Great location next to the dog friendly beach and nice easy walk into town BUT the ‘boy racers’ were driving around, revving and doing wheel spins until at least 12.30am. It doesn’t normally bother us as we’ve experienced it in other car parks before and normally they’ve headed home by 10/11pm but this spoiled it for us so we won’t be back.

  • 1/5

More reports in local news app ( Teesside live ) ..reporting problems with boys racers …reving engines..egg fights .

  • 1/5

A great location but we had to leave by 9pm as the car park was full of 20+ cars revving, beeping horns & eager to race. Police presence at one point but as soon as they left, the screeching began. Such a shame.

Overnight is allowed, free between 6pm and 8am, £6.00 all day. There are bins for rubbish. There are public toilets open during the day. There is an outside tap marked as drinking water near the toilets. A play area for the kids, there are some (about 15) longer bays that will fit a LWB vehicle to the far left at the front as you look at the sea.

Great parkup..stayed Saturday night..Good 3 signal...not great tv reception..bins..clean toilets.. 6pm to 8am free parking..loads of overnighting vans here...only issue is loads of kids driving around most of the night.. they were just having fun..felt very safe would deffo stay again..Great views..right on the beach

I stayed 9/5/25 for 1 night Free 6pm-8am Clean toilets, drinking water tap & showers right by the car park. 5G with O2. Right on the beach which is perfect. Arrived 6pm (lots of spaces) & wandered down for a fish, chips & ice cream. Lots of options & it was a nice walk down. Seemed relatively clean & chilled. 10pm-2am cars came, driving up & down, revving, doing donuts, beeping their horns.

Stunning view!! A few vans parked for the evening. If you park at far left side (closest to the beach) the spaces are longer for vans!! There’s toilets at the opposite end, they were open before we went to bed but were locked when we woke up in the morning… There was some ‘boy racers’ but to be expected on a weekend. No hassle though were gone by 11/11:30pm

Agree with most recent reviews. Great spot for the day, right on the beach and had plenty of space. Easy access and pretty level. However, night time not recommended. From about 7pm the car park started filling up with lads and their souped up cars, music blaring and shouting. I moved on and had a peaceful night just down the road at the woodlands.

toilets here , right next to a beautiful beach. unfortunately got little sleep. From around 8ish until gone 2.30 am razzers with music and bibbing the horns. Such a shame the location was fab . This prevented us from going into the town and spending our money ( which we try to do whenever we stop somewhere)

  • 3/5

Noisy cars/music until 1000pm then very quiet. A few quad bikes on the beach. Occasional police presence. Lovely view across the beach to the wind farm. Toilets locked at night but open and cleaned by the council first thing in the morning.

Paid for the Saturday night 27th July but was forced to move about 9 pm due to the local scum group of Teenagers riding on illegal motorbikes on the beach , prom and carpark between the vans . All wearing balaclavas so upto no good . Went to South Gare to get away from it all . Pleasant night it was . Wouldn’t stay over in this car park again .

a car park that we share with other users, and this includes the young drivers with their loud music in an evening. When everyone has gone home we had a quiet Saturday night's sleep. £4.90 for 24 hours. fantastic views of the sea and beautiful beach.

  • 4/5

Large tarmac car park, with great view of beach / wind farm, along Redcar's Promenade. Not the nicest of areas, but OK. Large bins. Large toilet & shower block but locked overnight. £1.20 /hour, £4.80/ day. No charge 6pm - 8am. No signs about overnight restrictions. Stayed with 10 vans. Boy racers around 10pm-1am. Harmless, but noisy- orchestra of car beeping & revving, but not near the vans.

  • 3/5

Perfect stop right on the beach front. Other vans about also. Boy racers till midnight, loud but they didn't cause any hassle. The beach is magnificent.

  • 5/5

Great car park. Stayed mid-week and it seemed quiet after 10pm. There is now a disabled toilet at the southern end accessible with a radar key. Also an outdoor tap - not sure whether it’s drinking water but could be booked etc.

  • 1/5

The local newspaper (Evening Gazette) today reports ongoing problems with boy racers…locals are getting fed up

  • 2/5

Grand parking vue mer. Très bruyant jusque 00h00 au moins (voiture avec musique à fond, moteur, dépôt de détritus par certains qui mangent dans leur voiture), reprise de la circulation à partir de 05h00. Seul avantage : en février, nous n’avons pas payé le stationnement

  • 4/5

stayed thereon 19/06/22. the local youths meet up there but they dont bother anyone, they are at the end near the caravan site so if you use the other end you wont notice them we were in the middle. I would stay there again. its free 6pm to 8am. £4 all day per space your using.

  • 4/5

Great place to stop for the night, right next to the beach and 10 minute stroll along the sea front into the town. Lots of pedestrians, dog walkers and the odd horse box belonging to those who ride their horses on the beach. Had a few boy racers screeching tyres for twenty minutes in the evening but really quiet after midnight (on a Thursday).

  • 5/5

3 quid for 20 hours, can't go wrong. Loads of space, right next to the sea front. Noone bothered with us all night. Another camper pulled up next to us, and there was no mither from anyone. Good walk to the beach in the evening and a quick walk into town.

  • 2/5

Stayed here last night ( Friday) boy racers stopped at around 5 this morning! It was terrible, and no way was it possible to sleep.... Think because it was Friday they stayed out all night.

  • 5/5

Stopped here last night. Paid £2.00 for 24hrs beach is very accessible. We had no trouble police came through to check everything was ok. there were a few young lads in cars but they left by about ten and we slept well through the night great stop.

  • 4/5

Cost just £2 for the night. Great location right on the beach. Lots of bins and the car park is tidy. Stayed here for 2 nights. 1 was really peaceful but on the 2nd night a huge group of boy racers turned up and were speeding round the car park until about 2am with music blasting. They never bothered us or caused us any problems but if you're a light sleeper you may want to bear this in mind.

  • 4/5

Stayed over night cost £2 for 24hrs if you use more spaces pay for them. Right on the beach. Only problem is boy racers in the car park till about 1am after that a good nights sleep. We Did fell safe there
