es ist nur ein einfacher Parkplatz mit einer Bank und einen Mülleimer, aber für eine Übernachtung ist er perfekt, es ist genug Platz vorhanden, die Straße ist nachts kaum befahren und man kann runter zum Fluss gehen und auch von hier ein Stücke die Straße lang in Wanderwege einsteigen
Parcheggio vicino alla strada, ma molto tranquillo. Abbiamo passato la notte da soli, poche auto e molto silenzio. Ci si sente al sicuro. Consiglio
Convenient parking with a picnic bench close to the road, hardly any traffic at night and slept very well. Excellent G4 signal and a bin.
Petit parking agréable , avec vue sur la forêt et une rivière en contre-bas. Peu de monde. En bord de route mais de moins en moins de passage à partir de 19h , voire pas du tout. MAIS nous avons dû partir car des détonations provenant des forêts se faisaient entendre en continue de 19h à 20h30 (certainement pour faire fuir les oiseaux) nous sommes donc partis car impossible d’y passer la nuit
Praktischer, schöner Platz mit nettem Ausblick. Ein paar Meter gegenüber dem nächsten Haus gibt es einen Übergang über den Zaun zum Fluss runter. 50 Meter zurück beginnt ein Wanderweg in die Braemar Highlands mit einer schönen Wanderrunde rund 7,5km.

Pleasantly surprised how peaceful this spot was being so close to the road. Great night's sleep. Heading into town the next morning for bfast - would recommend The Bothey. Nice walk in Balmoral Forest afterwards. Perfect, simple overnighter. Please leave no trace.

Stopped here for one night. Perfect for what we needed - a bin, picnic table and lovely views overlooking the views. Apart from the odd car going by, was completely peaceful listening to the river. Felt safe, would stay here again.
Great spot, just stopped the one night. Lots of traffic during the day but very quiet through the night. No toilets but a rubbish bin and picnic table. Contrary to earlier comments there is access to the river in both directions barely 100 yards from the lay-by; a stile at one side and vehicle track at the other. Fantastic views, wouldn’t hesitate to stay again
Went to park up at this spot as thought we would be able to access the river for a dip but we was wrong. You can park here to spend the night but you are next to the road, there is a picnic bench and bins but only the view of the river not access down to it!
Nice quiet spot lovely views. Please take your rubbish with you We cleaned up in evening but next morning more beer cans had been dropped lazy sods
Big spot set back from the road. Bin and picnic bench also there. A few cars speeding past at night but otherwise very quite. We did have the police chat to us as it’s on the edge of their patrol zone. They were friendly and had no problem with us parking there.
Beautiful view of the river, forest and mountains. Some road noise but quiet at night and slept well. Not quite level but not too bad. We would come back again if we are in this part of Scotland again.
