Parking public 24h en bord de village, peu de voitures la nuit mais ça se remplit vite le matin. Parfait pour y passer une nuit en cours de route (pour nous c’était entre Edinbourg et Douvres)

Public parking 24h at the edge of the village, few cars at night but it fills up quickly in the morning. Perfect for a night on the road (for us it was between Edinburgh and Dover)

Lovely place to stop over. Friendly town with good bakers and butchers. The local Morrisons has cheap diesel and lpg.

  • 5/5

stayed 1 night such a great place very quiet, and loads of spaces very friendly, great stopover just off A1

  • 4/5

Stayed here Saturday night. There were about 10 other motorhomes. Quiet night in nice surroundings. Only possible improvement would be somewhere to empty toilet cassette. Suggested donation is £2, but I gave £5 as worth it for such a nice spot.

  • 5/5

What a great spot lovely town nice pubs and toilets let’s keep it tidy some bigger vans are cutting up the grass thank you local council

  • 5/5

Lovely Stopover donation of £5.00. Beautiful village with lots of shops. amazing vegan sausage roll from one of the bakeries apologies can remember the name. definitely a stop I would make again. clean toilets near by too. 23rd Feb 24 7.2 MTR van

  • 5/5

Excellent stopover. Paystation just as you're leaving the car park. Lovely little village with an old Roman Town (2 well-preserved mosaic pavements) tho sadly closed. Ship Inn was nice for food and atmosphere.

  • 5/5

what a brilliant place to stay for a night or 2, £5 per night, payout guys, it's on a trial. lots of lovely little places to pop in for food. try the Apple & Pork pies from Appletons

  • 5/5

Great stop over as just off A1(M). Flat space and quiet. Very clean toilets (not 24hr). Thank you.

  • 5/5

Great location, quite and safe for all night Motorhome parking. Public toilets nearby, shops close by. There is just two dedicated Motorhome parking bays. We arrived midweek about 6pm and the car park was nearly empty however by 9am it was full. Small donation of £5 is suggested by the council to use the bays. Please pay so this trial may continue. Thank you Boroughbridge council

  • 5/5

We've stayed at this park up before but last night both motorhome bays were full so moved on as requested by the Councillor below. Let's not lose this gem of a stop by abusing our welcome; this is a trial. Delightful green car park, gets really busy in the day. £5 in the honesty box by the entrance and basic but clean toilets daylight hours.

  • 5/5

Perfect for a night's rest, looks closed overnight but open nice and early in the morning. Payment by voluntary donation but please don't forget to pay for this excellent facility or else it may disappear, and who knows, it may encourage other councils to do the same? Wouldn't that be great?

  • 5/5

Fantastic stop over. Just off thr A1. Lovely village and friendly people. Lovely quiet stay. Toilets closed on arrival at 6pm but opened around 8am spotless. EE signal good. (Hoping that this will be seen by the Councillor below and this trial continues. I would suggest opening the full unmarked back bit to vans at £5 rather than just the two spaces as there is clearly the demand)

  • 5/5

    Super pour une nuit calme

  • 5/5

Voluntary donation. Open 24hours. Space for 2 motor homes as well as an unmarked part which we fit into (long wheel base). Toilets were clean - looked locked when we arrived around 11pm and were open when we left at 8am.

  • 5/5

Great spot stayed there several times. Toilets were closed throughout my last stay. Nice little town a good cafe on the square a couple of minutes walk. Several good pubs! Picnic benches and bins around the car park.

  • 5/5

Fabulous spot huge car park in a quintessential English village. There is a £2 donation box at the exit / entrance. We stayed over night without a hitch from 11pm onwards with about 6 other campers who were there before us. We stopped there to break the journey between Glasgow and Dover.

  • 1/5

one star to get your attention. I persuaded my fellow Cllrs to trial 2 spaces for motorhomes , as I have one myself. We ask for a £5.00 donation per night with a max stay of 2 nights. some nights more than 10 units. This is causing some concern with my fellow Cllrs. As I have stated this is a trial...... abuse it and loose. 2 bays, 2 places near the grass area. If they are full please move on.

  • 5/5

A nice quiet spot for the night. With 2 dedicated motorhome spots these were full however, plenty of space for more vans. Clean toilets, and and Picnic benches too. Easy access from the A1 (M). I’ll definitely stay here again. There is an honesty box at the gate to pay so you need some cash.

  • 5/5

Fabulous spot. Great car park. Toilet available 24h, and it is clean and free. This is not a parking spot, it is more like a hotel. Really enjoyed here.

  • 5/5

Pradera. Mesas de picnic. Papeleras y WC durante el día. 2 £ caja de la honestidad.

Excellent park up for a night. Very, very busy with other vans but plenty of space. Please do leave some money in the box. Arrive late, leave early.

  • 5/5

toilets clean and well maintained, can't go wrong for a fiver, dedicated motor home spaces. honesty box for payment

  • 5/5

Excellent facility, donations of £5 in the honesty box suggested by a sign at the dedicated motor home area. Very attractive location, close to attractive town and riverside scenery. Quiet, peaceful setting. Public toilets in parking area. Please respect this place, and do contribute.

  • 5/5

Excellent parkup, and for only a £5 per nigh done via honesty box at the entrance. ( please pay as we need more of these type of places, immaculate toilets picnic benches at the rear with grass area. ) only two motorhome bays. Great local sandwich shops and cafes etc, and the local morrisons is only half mile down the road for fuel and gas refuelling.

  • 5/5

A nice quiet place for the night. Picnic benches. Easy from the A1(M). I’ll definitely stay here again. The £5 charge needs to be in cash.

  • 5/5

Fab park up in Boroughbridge - Back Lane car park. Honesty box asking for at least a £5 donation to stay the night. Right in the centre of town. Two large level bays, picnic tables at the back. More towns should do this - make sure you PAY!.

  • 5/5

Perfect spot, spoke to the gentleman and lady, who have kept, this facility available for, campervans/motor homes, thank you so much. Great town, toilets shut at night, but open again in morning immaculate.

  • 5/5

Great park up just off the A1 , very popular ! So get there early! Toilets are being updated, close to shops. Plenty of bins & picnic tables! Don’t abuse it else we’ll lose it!! £5 suggested donation paid!

  • 5/5

Fantastic stop, very quiet. Arrived late and there was plenty of room. Toilets near by (locked at night) and plenty of lovely small shops just few minutes away. Donation box and £5 recommended. Thank you to the local community for making this space available!

  • 5/5

Lovely quiet flat car park with 2 MH spots. Facilities are clean though locked at night. Close to local amenities all in all a great nights sleep with a lovely quaint town to explore. Please note this is an Honesty box car park kept up to date purely by donations they say £5 minimum for a nights stay. Gladly and we’ll worth it I shall certainly be back

  • 5/5

Excellent spot and a lovely town. We really enjoyed this one. Thank you Borough Bridge.

  • 5/5

Brilliant flat paved car park makes for a quiet night! Suggested minimum donation £2, clean facilities and centrally located in the village of Boroughbridge.

Stayed here last night, very quiet stay, 2 MH spots on main car park but parked right in back corner so even got the canopy out, 2 very good pubs close by, Chinese takeaway is pretty good too, will definitely be staying again

  • 5/5

Arrived at 2030, both spots available. Very peaceful all night, nice stop over for travelling north. £5 left in the donation box

  • 5/5

Arrived at 21:30 to find both spaces available. Nice wide space with lots of grass space at the back for any overhang. We paid the £5 donation in the box near the entrance. Picnic tables and bins available behind the parking area. We used this as a stop over on our way up north so left early at 7:30, toilet were back open before we left. Morrisons down the road with LPG gas inbetween pumps 1&2

  • 5/5

Lovely stopover location. 2 mins walk to the village centre with shops, pubs and takeaways. Toilets in the carpark closed overnight but open early. Used this a couple of times and it's been very quiet overnight. 2 dedicated MH bays but plenty of room in the rear of the carpark where you can hang the back end over the grass. Honesty box for the £5 overnight charge.

  • 5/5

Great stopover carpark for a small donation. Peaceful night sleep, and public toilets open in the morning. Its close to the highstreet so you could wander out for a pub meal if needed.

  • 4/5

£5 donation suggested, and gratefully given. 2 spaces; full when I arrived, but managed to park in another bay. Hardstanding mainly level carpark. Good small town. Close to Morrisons that has LPG pumps

  • 5/5

Such a beautiful town to stop at on our way north! There’s a town walk and really lovely cafes and shops to wander through. Everyone is friendly. Clean toilets open in the morning. We’re lucky to have towns like this tolerant of campers staying, so pay your £5, contribute to the high street and move on early to let workers and locals use the car park during the day :)

  • 5/5

Lovely park up with beautiful town a short walk away! Lovely clean public toilets and park bench’s to enjoy your dinner on, plenty of bins provided to. Perfect stop over as so close to motorway. Will defiantly be back again!

  • 5/5

Nice and peaceful. lovely village. please keep it clean and use the honesty box as a thank you

  • 5/5

Great stopover, peaceful nights sleep, suggested donation is £5 which is great, sign says it’s a trial, abuse it & lose it. Disappointed to see no one else pay the £5, then you see someone emptying their toilet at public convenience’s play by the rules

  • 5/5

Fab stopover when on the road. Only a few minutes from A1 - great nights sleep and a lovely little town.

  • 4/5

Great little stop over. Lovely town with bakery tea shops and individual shops The Bull Inn does great food and very friendly staff Thanks Boroughbridge for providing this aire. £5 dropped in honesty box as suggested on other sites. Toilets are not 24hr. Closed when we arrived at 7pm

  • 5/5

Arrived late, only two spaces and these taken. However, lots of room in rest of carpark and there were eight other vans already parked up. Found a space and settled down for a quiet night. Woken by dawn chorus. Had breakfast and put £5 in honesty box before leaving. Highly recommend

  • 5/5

Great little place. Agree with all comments. arrived late, both bays taken. us and 1 other found quiet corners and left early. top tip: pop up to Morrisons in the morning (open from 7am). Loads of free daytime parking, good "overhanging" spots towards top end, clean toilets.

  • 5/5

just five mins off A1(M). local car park with two designated marked motorhome spaces which were fine for us at 5.5m but a little short for longer vans. toilets locked overnight but open at 8. village with pub and spar shop. signs suggest £5 donation and max two nights stay. would stay again

  • 5/5

Level ground , quite. occasional locals walking there dogs. only issue is that the toilets are locked including the disabled between approx 6pm.....8am I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN.

  • 4/5

Lovely quiet spot, £5, perfect stop off just off A1, shame the toilets weren’t open through the night but there’s Morrison’s down the road

  • 5/5

Wish there was more places like this. No hassle, quiet and the town itself is beautiful, clean and tidy, people very nice and welcoming. Go and try the local produce and natural products from nearby shops - you won’t regret it.

  • 5/5

Lovely little spot for 2 Motorhomes, £5.00 per night to go in honesty box at exit of car park. Max 2 night stay. This is so refreshing to find a car park that will let you overnight these days. Close to centre, with many takeaways and pubs. Lovely little green area behind our parking spot with picnic benches and litter bins. Public toilets also in this car park. Excellent all round!

  • 5/5

The town council have now provided 2 motorhome specific bays with a suggested £5 per night donation into the honesty box. The town centre is a quick stroll away with pubs, and takeaways plus shops for provisions. The maximum stay is 2 nights which is plenty for a stopover on the A1, if only be more town councils had the same forward thinking attitude.

  • 5/5

Very welcoming, the council are trialling this as an overnight stop with voluntary £5 donation. Very pleased to support them as they are supporting us to stay. Just arrived, small town very walkable with useful looking shops inc bakery, butchers etc and an interesting little local walk trail

  • 5/5

Lovely quiet area easy to find but only 2 designated motorhome bays. other motorhome arrived and stayed in the corner of car park. nobody got moved on. Always happy to put donation in the honesty box
