You cannot go wrong with this spot. Thanks Edinburgh, and the Council for allowing it. It is close to the city center, it is safe because there's police in front of it. It is not hot because there's a park and trees around. To any end, you can have a shower at a gym named The Gym in town. Moreover you can cycle to town in 10 minutes or walk 25. This is not a parking, you'rd in a hotel. Thank you.

On a passé la nuit sur la grande rue perpendiculaire, le long du terrain de foot. Parfait pour les grands camping car. 1£/heure de 8h30 à 17h30. Beaucoup moins cher que les rues à 200m (5£/heure). 20 mn à pied du centre ville.

Bon emplacement à 25min du centre d’Edimbourg à pied! Aucun services, pas de toilettes à proximité et bon compromis emplacement idéal pour une nuit et visiter la ville. Parking gratuit de 17h30 à 8h.

Bin hier drei Nächte geblieben und habe die Stadt bei besten Wetter erkundet. Nur etwa 10-15min ins Zentrum mit dem Fahrrad. Die Strasse ist umgeben von Bäumen und somit hat man viel Schatten auf dem Camper. Mit Abstand der beste Platz in ganz Edinburgh.

Super Stellplatz! Stadtzentrum in ca 20-30 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Der Stellplatz selbst ist an einem für eine Stadt ruhigen Ort. Waren zwei Nächte dort. Würden es jedem für einen Besuch in der wunderschönen Stadt empfehlen.

Stayed one night. Arrived Sunday early evening. Peaceful night albeit with some traffic passing close by. 40 min walk through parts of the old town to the castle. Recommended.

Great spot, easy walk to downtown and nearby parks. Safe right across from the police station. Stayed 2 nights. Paid parking 8:30am - 5:30pm, sign says you can stay up to 9 hours. There's a bunch of spots (maybe 20-30, tho suited for medium wheel-base or shorter). Didn't see a car park, but plenty of street parking in area. Grocery nearby, check out Mimi's bakehouse!

Recomiendo aparcar en la calle colindante; enfrente de la comisaría (menos tránsito de coches). A 30-40 min a pie del centro histórico

Génial rien a redire 9 livres le stationnement pour la journée gratis la nuit . Ensuite taxi pour balade en ville 9 livres donc 18 euros la journée rien à voir avec les tarifs des campings. Si vous prenez un circuit de visite l’arrêt numéro vous laisse pas loin de la rue . En prime magnifique vue sur une très belle école .

Parking au calme, entre le commissariat et une grande étendue herbeuse du lycée. Gratuit le week end, 7 livres pour 24h en semaine. Nous y avons dormi le 31/07-22 en toute tranquillité et sécurité avec qq camping caristes. Un peu loin à pied du centre ville (compter 1h) mais il doit y avoir des bus.

Beaucoup d'emplacements, 7£ la journée et gratuit le week-end. Endroit très calme avec au bout de la rue un café et un supermarché avec toilettes. Un peu loin de la ville malgré tout, il faut compter 40 mn de marche environ mais le trajet est sympathique ! Nous sommes restés 3 jours sans problème !

Posto perfetto! Tranquillo e non troppo lontano dal centro. Necessario pagare la sosta perché fanno molte multe.

Estupendo para conocer la ciudad. Hay que poner ticket. Gratis de 5:30pm a 8:30 am. Luego el ticket te da 9 horas.

Super Platz um Edinburgh zu erkunden. direkt vor der Police Station ! Am Wochenende sogar kostenfrei. . Um die Ecke fährt die Linie 29 direkt zur South Bridge nahe der Royal Mile und Edinburgh Castle !

Safe ,quiet and close to the city! 7£ is not much ask for staying in one of the most vibrant city in Europe especially with the police station right across! 15 mins walk to Dean Village,25 mins from city center and 35mins from the old town! if you need a treat,there is a bakery right on the corner and a Waitrose!

Preguntamos a un policía y nos dijo que podíamos pernoctar en frente la comisaría, lugar perfecto para visitar la ciudad , zona súper tranquila y muy amplia 7£ 24h pero el horario de pago es de 9 a 17:30

Cela nous paraissait au premier abord tranquille mais finalement nous sommes partis en pleine nuit car on a essayé de voler nos motos . Juste devant le commissariat de police ,les jeunes n'ont vraiment peur de rien....

Excellent emplacement, le centre d’Edimbourg se trouve à 20 minutes à pied. Nous étions plusieurs véhicules à dormir sur ce parking, très calme la nuit. Le fait d’être devant le commissariat de police procure un sentiment de sécurité même si c’est un quartier bien fréquenté. C’est une chance de pouvoir dormir dans une capitale européenne.

Standen in der Seitenstraße Fettes Ave, direkt vor dem Polizeigebäude. Am Wochenende (Freitag 17.30 - Montag 8.30) steht man kostenlos und ruhig. Perfekter Ausgangspunkt um den sehr schönen Botanischen Garten zu besuchen. In die Innenstadt mit dem Fahrrad ca. 15 Minuten. Supermarkt 2 Minuten entfernt (täglich geöffnet).

Roadworks at the moment but still lots of space to park anywhere on the roads where it says 9hrs then you can stay overnight for free. Arrived at 1pm and paid £5 and will leave at 8.30 tomorrow. What a bargain.

Parking en face du poste de police donc pour y laisser son véhicule et visiter le centre ville qui se trouve à 20 mns à pied c'est très pratique. j'y ai passé une nuit calme et je n'ai payé que de 14h ( heure où je suis arrivée en ville ) à 17h30. 1 livre de l'heure. très honnête.

Stayed there for a night, was nice, plenty of other cameprvans / motorhomes. It's by the street, but has plenty of space and also wider parking spaces. Quiet at night, although gets busier in the morning Nice to spend a night in Edinburgh

It's not level. That's a big detractor for me. I had no blocks to drive up on. Lots of joggers, fair amount of traffic. Good area though. I arrived after 17:00 so I didn't have to pay for parking.

Abends ein sehr ruhiger Parkplatz, der bei unserer Ankunft fast leer war. Morgens wurde er dann schnell voll und es wurde von der Straße lauter, was ja in der Stadt normal ist. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man für eine Nacht bleibt bzw. von hier mit dem Bus in die Stadt möchte.

Avons passé la nuit en garant notre camping-car de 7m en face du Fettes college, places le long de la rue. Gratuit la nuit (17h30 à 8h30). En journée : 7£ pour 9h maxi. Arrêt de bus à 5 min à pied pour rejoindre le centre ville (ticket à 1.80£), bien pratique et quartier très calme (commissariat à 50 mètres). Toilettes publiques au magasin Waitrose au bout de la rue Fettes Ave. Idéal pour 1 nuit

Great spot, super close to the centre of town and free on weekends. A little noisy but that's always going to be the case in such a prime location.

Parked here all day.. no far to walk into city, one or two camper vans parked up overnight can’t see any problem (keep it clean and rubbish in bins)

Wij verbleven hier 2 nachten. Perfectz plaats om van hieruit de stad te bezoeken. Wij parkeerden in het weekend= gratis! De politie (rechttegenover) kwam ons 's avonds nog waarschuwen dat we onze fietsen zeker goed opslot moesten zetten omdat er af en toe wel fietsdieven kunnen zijn maar ze waren heel erg vriendelijk! 's avonds amper autopassage. Topplek!

Wir haben hier drei Nächte verbracht. Am Wochenende und Nachts kostenlos und keine maximal Parkzeit. Bezahlen per App, Bargeld oder Kartenzahlung. Wir hatten keinerlei Probleme. Unter der Woche scheint viel los zu sein am Wochenende war es leer. In der Nähe fährt regelmäßig ein Bus in die Stadt, kostet £1,90 pro Person.

Leuke plek om de stad in te kunnen wandelen (ongeveer 15minuten). Toen wij er stonden was het erg rustig, direct aan het politiebureau. Erg rustig ook snachts. Wij hebben er 1 nacht gestaan in oktober 2021. Supermarkt op de hoek.

Stayed here for 2 days and one night 18/09/2021. Lots of free spaces. Free parking at weekends. It isn't clear if the 9 hours limit is just for weekdays / paying days. Didn't have any issues. Fair bit of traffic during the day, but quiet during the night. The traffic and noise gets busier again towards the morning.

A quiet road about 20/25 min walk from the centre of Edinburgh. Plenty of spaces. Free weekend parking!

Near the Police Headquarter many places for parking. Ticket for the day costs around 6-7£. By bus 5-10min to get to the centre and bus stations are just a short walk away. No facilities, sign says maximum stay 9h but we stayed here for 3 days without any issues. Definitely recommended if you're visiting Edinburgh!

Great spot, very quiet, close to good bars and cafes, short walk to town, we were there Saturday night to Monday morning so free.

It’s okay and felt quite safe. If you are a light sleeper, you might want to look for somewhere with less movement outside.

Really handy for the city centre, pretty quiet with lots of spaces & the police headquarters next door so I guess pretty secure.

Really convenient spot to park up in the city. We stayed here this weekend and there were plenty of places! Felt safe and secure.

Camped here on 3/10/2020: reasonably quiet street and felt safe. Plenty of parking in the area actually. We camped under the trees and provided some relief from a wild wet night in Edinburgh. Some fantastic cafes (Stockbridge area) on the walk into the city. Highly recommend swinging by Dean Village.

Not so noisy like I expected

Payed now 6£ for 24h but still not too expensive for parking in the city. Recommend a walk through Dean Village when you walk to the city center. We had our bikes inside during the day and outside at night. Everything was fine, felt really safe.

Stayed over night on a saturday, free parking here all weekend, roads fairly quiet, there were other motorhomes and transporters here already when we arrived, we would over night here again

We stayed here for 2 night whilst exploring the city and thought it was a great spot. First night there were two other caravans 2nd night we were the only camper parked up. Location has great walking distance to Dean Village and Old Town. During the night is pretty quiet but morning can be busy starting from 7/8am as located close to the schools. Overall, great spot!

Great place close to the city. Cars in the night every now and then but no more than other city locations. Free parking at the weekend and no Time limit. Toilets can be found in the Waitrose and Morrison superstores, both a few minutes walk from the sight.

Für eine Nacht ganz gut. Leider wurde versucht unsere Fahrräder vom Heckträger zu stehlen obwohl wir vor der Polizeistation geparkt hatten. Aufpassen!!!

This a great spot to stop over. There is noise from traffic from around 6am until roughly 8pm/9pm in the week. I stayed on a Thursday night and had a great sleep when the traffic died down. As a lone female I felt very safe and there was only one other camper on this massive road! It’s free parking after 5.30pm until 8.30am. I didn’t realise and paid the £5 which wasn’t needed just for an overnight stay.

Attention aux grands campings cars de ne pas dépasser à l'arrière sur le trottoir ou la route sur le boulevard de la police. Nos amis ont eu un mot sur le pare-brise pour leur demander de se déplacer (normal...). Pour les "longs", le Cours du Collège Fettes -juste à côté- est préférable avec des places adéquates le long de la chaussée. Nous y sommes restés 2 jours sans soucis ( 5 £/jour).

Parfait pour visiter Edinburgh. Nous y sommes restés 2 nuits le wee kend ( gratuit). Arrêt de bus tout proche ainsi qu'un supermarché. SVP ne bloquez pas le trottoir par respect pour les promeneurs ou personnes en fauteuil roulant !

Guter ruhiger Platz (außer ein paar Autos nachts). Fussentfernung (35min) in die Stadt. Aber: bitte mit längeren Wohnmobilen nicht den Fußweg versperren. Polizei gibt sonst einen Vermerk.

Great location, safe and quiet. They do also check and ticket (first warning) if your back blocks the sidewalk. So if you need the extra length do take advantage of the parallel parking on adjacent street. Also no charge for weekends.

Nous y avons passé une nuit à 3 camping-cars sans soucis mais avec un peu de bruit à partir de 7h. Arrivés à 20h il y avait de nombreuses places. Un policier est venu contrôler nos tickets dès 8h30 mais sans rien dire pour la nuitée. A 30 minutes à pied du centre ou par bus n• 19.

Parking où il est possible de passer la nuit. Payant de 8h30 à 17h30 (5 livres pour 24heures). Stationnement interdit plus d'une journée. Pour les véhicules de plus de 7 mètres, on peut stationner en long dans la rue du collège. Beaucoup de places disponibles en fin de journée et la nuit. Le supermarché avec des toilettes et du pain Waitrose à 200 mètres en passant devant la Scotland Police. Royal Botanic Garden à proximité. Pour la vielle ville, à environ 40 mn à pied.

Bon endroit pour stationner. Payant uniquement l'après-midi. C'est d'ailleurs à ce moment là qu'il y a des véhicules stationnés. Le soir et la nuit. ..nous y étions seuls. Même pas un autre camping car ! Assez calme. Nous y sommes restés un peu plus des 9 heures autorisées sans aucun problème (de 14h à 18h30 en payant puis la nuit suivante jusqu'à 9h du matin).

Effectivement un très bon plan pour une grande ville, rue très peu passante la nuit, face à la centrale de police, très prévenante. Permet d'aller en ville à pieds.

Kostenfreie Zeiten kommen unbeschränkt hinzu. Weiter stadteinwärts darf nur noch 4 bezahlbare Stunden (plus kostenfreie Zeiten unbeschränkt) geparkt werden. War nachts nicht so ganz ruhig aber akzeptabel.

We were pretty much lonely at night time which felt a bit uncomfortable but we did not get a fine or anything. Pretty calm at night and we felt safe.

30 minutes walk to Princes Street or get the bus on Comely Bank Road. Which is the other side of Broughton High School. There is a Waitrose on the corner of the road to bus stop. Road beside us quite quiet, it was a Saturday into Sunday.
