Parking by the lake side along the roadside. Nice view across the lake, some minor traffic noise from the road bridge over the lake. There is a toilet block in the parking further up the road

On a dormi là la nuit dernière, c'était parfait ! Petit apéro sur la plage au soleil, on aurait même dû arriver plus tôt pour mieux en profiter. On a utilisé les toilettes du parking un peu plus haut (pas d'eau chaude aux éviers), il y a de quoi faire une donation via qr code. Pas de circulation la nuit.
Wenn man einen kostenlosen Stellplatz haben will, reicht dieser vollkommen aus. Ist in der Nacht ruhig, untertags etwas befahren, aber man hat einen wunderschönen Sandstrand vor der Tür. Der Platz reicht für 2 Vans und 1-2 Autos, wer etwas mehr Platz braucht, kann weiter zu dem Car Park fahren, dort gibt es auch Toiletten (Fußweg 5min von diesem Stellplatz weg) gegen eine kleine Spende.
Lovely stop over at the side of the loch across the road is beautiful white sands great view here too! Not had any bother so far and won't as I'm a highlander too. will clean any waste others have left as a matter of common sense and all should follow suit wherever they roam ! Keep this place beautiful
fairly tight lay-by space for 2 campers. fast road but not too much traffic. Cross road to a beautiful beach.
Sehr schöner Platz. Ruhig und toller Strand. Mülltonnen sind ebenso da. Toiletten die Straße herauf sind aktuell geschlossen, Winterpause so wie viele andere Plätze auch. Schade. Bitte sauber halten damit das Parken weiter gestattet bleibt.
Brilliant free spot to park overnight with a view over the beach. The sign at the beach does say “we encourage you not to park overnight” but it doesn’t say that you cannot park overnight (so I did) and had a marvellous nights sleep.

Lovely view of the beach but not a safe place to park up overnight as it is a narrow space on the side of the road and not suitable for large vehicles.
This place is beautiful and I managed to get a space at the side of the road but late at night a car screeched up and parked a distance in front of the van and turned their lights on and off at the van. They then came and scratched the side of the van.
Although beautiful not the most ideal due to being right on the road. We arrived at dusk and left early before the road got busy. All campsites in the area fully booked so unable to get a space last minute or we would have, clearly a popular area. Not loads of spaces wide enough to accommodate a van, did see a few vans sticking out into the tarmac a bit.
Lovely and quiet if you camp in the car park. Although make sure you check the height of your vehicle carefully as someone has hit the 2m barrier bring it down to under 2m. A few campers on the verges along the beach, but these areas of not very wide and the banks are crumbling.
Absolutely stunning beach. We were in a campervan which was over the small carpark height barrier but you can park along the road but parking is limited on the roadside/laybys. Lots of people camping on the beach and the council have provide bin to dispose of your waste. It's a bonus there is toilets in the carpark but just make sure you take some loo roll with you.
Great if you're under 2m, gorgeous beach and toilets all night!

Overcrowded and dangerous. Camper-vans on either side of the road making it hazardous if you meet anyone. No actual parking here only a grass verge that is crumbling due to overuse. Beach full of dirty campers.
Good place to park, arrived in my campervan and the dog loves the beach. Not many spaces so a first come basis. Loads of parking up the hill but has a 2 metre height restriction.
Took the advice of angry local and ‘didn’t come.’ Went over the bridge to Skye instead. Didn’t eat at any Mallaig cafes and restaurants, didn’t buy provisions from Malaig didnt use Calmac ferry. Did find lovely wild camping spots on the way as the camper is fully kitted out so why use a campsite. Cheers to the short sighted!
This is not a campsite, and when used as such it leaves locals and day visitors with nowhere to park, much to the increasing anger of the local community, pay to use proper camping facilities or don't come, simple!
Great spot to stay right by the water & have a bbq! Lovely white sands and spectacular views!
