There is now a big sign saying No Camping or Caravaning. A good stop during the day for a walk. But we drove on in the evening to The Royal Oak Pett pub nearby that's on Britstops, had a couple of beers and stayed in their car park instead. If you don't have Britstops, you can ask if, if you get a meal can you stay there.

Stayed in Feb 2023. A bit bumpy in the large laybys but a fantastic place to park. Not all that loud at all. Great to wake up and have a walk along the beach.

Toller Stellplatz im Nirgendwo. Auf der Sichtseite ein grosses Naturschutzgebiet und hinter dem 3-4m hohen Deich grober Kiesstrand und die See. Was will man mehr? Naja, die Auto stören evt. ein wenig, aber wir sind ja auch nicht zu Fuss gekommen.

a few a lay-bys around this road. you can hear the cars during the night, but was ok. 7 am start walking people around. next to beach.

Lovely wild area with the sea on one side and sheep grazing in meadows on the other. The big problem though is the traffic! It is a long, straight road and some people seem to treat it like a racetrack! Would not recommend unless you are a VERY sound sleeper!

Good spot to park but traffic did speed past until about midnight. Might be worth trying to park at either end of the road

  • 2/5

Pot hole lined space at side of Road

Great place to stay for the night with many parking spaces however you are right next to the road and not overly busy at night The road is long and runs parallel with the sea coastline and you don’t have sea views due to grass embankment which isn’t the end of the world as it is a lovely pebble beach No shops/restaurants near by the nearest fish & chip shop is in rye which is about 2-3 miles away

Parked up for the night by the food wagon. Pretty quiet even though by a road. Lovely pebble beach across the road. Totally fine for one night.

  • 4/5

Perfect for one night, just a couple of campervans already there when we arrived.

Plentiful parking to side of road. Passing traffic during the day but quiet in the evening. Right next to a quiet beach with good countryside walks nearby. The Pett Boat Club (short walk along the beachfront) serves good food and open to non-members. There’s a co-op, a pub and a fish snd chip shop further down the same road in Winchelsea (10 min drive or about 45 min walk).

No Facilities nearby. No shops so take food, water etc. Some mobile ice cream/ hot dog vendors during the day. Couldn’t find any water supplies to fill van. Busy fast road at night. Van was rocked by passing cars! Beach is mostly stones until the tide goes out. Opposite side to the beach are grasslands and fields with sheep and cattle. A pleasant walk along a waterway path.

Nice spot, loads of places for parking. But yes it's on a busy road. Minus the traffic there's a Lake to my left and beach to my right (over a mound). Very peaceful and plenty of birds.

Great location, can be noisy in the daytime but reasonably quiet at night.

Route étroite, place stationnement camping-car à mi-parcours de la Digne. Plage de galets. Route fréquentée.
