Didn’t stay as near road and very visible .Just as well. Went by next day ( Saturday) absolutely full up with farmers and market attendees . I’m sure it’s fine when there isn’t a market on .

Decent stop over quiet after 10pm. About 4/5 other motor homes here too.

Good little lay-by, next to a busy road but is quiet throughout the night. Short walk to the toilets which are open all night. Two pubs in the village. The stretch of river here is beautiful and can walk part of the Weardale Way

two pubs a short walk away both very welcoming, locals are very friendly. Toilets appear to be open all night. On a fairly busy A road but slept sound and woke refreshed.

Good spot. Toilets open all night, noisy road in the day with trucks passing, but quiet after 10pm.

Parked up at 6pm on a Friday night, 3 other campers here. Had a great nights sleep. Whilst you are by the road it is quiet at night and if you park facing the fields glorious views. Cafe, shops and public toulets a mere 5 minutes walk away.

Parked here at 10pm on a friday night. Usually stay at paid site up road but we arrived late due to family in hospital and wanted to get away. 4:30am a couple of young men pulled right next to us talking about violence and drinking and kept opening and slamming car door. Beer cans thrown by my drivers door. Started my engine and drove off. i had come to St Johns to buy things. Didnt bother.
