Nice spot if you can find a space, but 2hrs only. The spaces the other side of the boat lake which apparently used to be unrestricted are now 1 hour max.

  • 3/5

  • 4/5

Can no longer park on the embankment, but if you follow the road around the boatfloat ( the little square ' pool' with boats in on the left), there are presently no on road restrictions on right-hand side opposite the supermarket.( Toilets open in indoor market at 8 am).

  • 3/5

Max stay 2 Hours and no motor caravans between 6pm and 9am, beautiful views.

left this place about 2 hours ago after reading the comments on here. I was literally parked outside the shower and toilet block. lovely view over the river, and then I saw it, NO CAMPERS between 6pm - 9am. buggers. didnt notice these signs on the other side of the park tho? found a great pub up the road that let's you stay in thier car park as long as you eat and drink there.

  • 1/5

New signs NO MOTOR CARAVANS BETWEEN 6pm and 9am. only day parking. it was such a lovely place.

  • 4/5

Sign up saying 9-6 no motorhomes, we were in a Renault traffic and not bothered. A few other converted vans doing the same.

  • 4/5

Easy to park and close to town centre. toilets and showers closed.views brilliant late on after 8pm struggled as no food places that would allow dogs. sat outside station1 champagne bar and had a beer as the dogs could sit with us. ferry runs till 22:30

  • 2/5

NO Overnights new sign "Motor Caravans 6pm - 9am No park"

  • 5/5

Used this stop for 2 nights last week. Great spot. Kids loved the crabbing. The road is busy until the ferry stops at night. 24hr toilets in the park near the ferry entrance.

  • 5/5

Lovely stop over, Dartmouth is absolutely gorgeous. Parked right by the harbour, free parking 6pm until 11am.

  • 5/5

Well done Dartmouth town council. We parked up at 19.00 with beautiful views and watched the world go by, piece full nights sleep and all awhile spending our money in the Town eating out and supplies. Even had an excellent shower for £1 in the morning, top spot other councils could learn from Dartmouth.

Firstly, what a beautiful place Dartmouth is! We parked on the street right overlooking the gorgeous harbour, bang opposite the spotless toilets and showers. Parking is free but limited to 2 hours before 6pm, after that you can stay overnight until 11am the next day - FOR FREE!! If you wait until around 8pm you can take your pick of parking spots. Toilets are 20p, showers £1 - perfect stop off before hopping on the ferry (£6.50) and heading to Brixham.

Great central location, by plenty of shops and facilities. Shower is great, toilets available (20p, also contactless options). Plenty of benches overlooking the estuary too!

  • 5/5

Stayed Sunday 20th June no issue, quiet until around 07:30

  • 5/5

Excellent spot, right on the water. Stayed here 1 night, Can stay until 11am. Toilets and even showers available in Mayors avenue car park - £1 entry to 3 showers, unlimited hot water. Rockfish fish and chips great. And recommend the kayak day trip with Sea Kayak Devon.

  • 5/5

We stayed one night parked opposite the Coronation park as there was more room there. Traffic pretty much stops after the Higher Ferry stops at night. Nice to wake u to a nice view over the estuary - especially if the sun is shining.

  • 5/5

Fab nights stay. Quiet once ferry stops around 2200 - 0630, still not much traffic though. Lovely shops to wander around, several bars and restaurants nearby as well as a park and bins. Great views across the river.

  • 5/5

Stayed last night, turned up around 7pm. Picturesque and amazing to wake up next to the river in the morning - quite location after 10pm on the roadside.

  • 5/5

Amazing spot, right on the river. 2 hours max stay in the day. We struggled with parking in the day (it is currently peak season) but by 7pm when we arrived, there was plenty of space. A few pop top campers tonight alongside us! Sadly, due to COVID, the facilities are limited at the minute. Showers 10am-5:30pm and toilets 8am-6pm weekday and 10am-6pm weekend.

  • 5/5

    Stunning views beautiful little village

  • 5/5

Plenty of free parking. No overnight restrictions (just 2hrs max daytime 9am-6pm). Road surprisingly quiet overnight. Parking is the length of the road (not just where marked on the map), and also some surrounding roads (follow the one way system). There were a few other vans parked up overnight as well. One of the few places in Devon we have this privilege to park by the waters edge overnight-pls be mindful of this and respectful so authorities don’t ban overnight parking like elsewhere ....

  • 4/5

Awesome spot and views. Public toilet, one is 20p and one down by ferry is open and free in the day. Behind toilet in town is good shower for 1pound. Only downside as people drive fast on that main road up until about 9pm.

  • 5/5

Great place and potable water less 50 feet from parking point. Look for small green cupboard (for boats really.) Ok except from 1st May to Sept 30th...will be back

  • 5/5

Great spot overlooking the River. Check out the restrictions though as it looks like they may be changing to preclude motorhomes.

  • 5/5

Amazing park for the night! As it's coming into winter we had no troubles parking as the 2hr limit is only from May-Sept, I think you could stay a few nights if you wanted. Dartmouth is a little off the A38 but an absolutely beautiful town well worth the visit. Toilets and showers open from 8am Mon-Sat and from 10am on Sun. Toilets are 20p and showers £1. Views of the marina are spectacular!

  • 5/5

Lovely views. Parked up fine. There doesn't appear to be any pay and display machines. 2 hrs free parking between 9am-6pm so we're assuming if we're still here at 9am we're entitled to the 2hrs parking meaning we'll need to move off by 11am. Hoping to ask tomorrow if there is a traffic warden about and can update.

  • 4/5

Lots of parking spaces after 6, we stayed the other side of the main car park which you Can also stay in for £3 over night. Unfortunately the public toilets are locked at night hence the loss of a star. Great little town and a very peaceful nights sleep considering public parking. Highly recommend but get there on 6 or earlier and pay for an hour or so as does get busy with overnight parkers. Warning I saw the warden at 850am starting his rounds and bang on 9 he was issuing tickets so either be gone or pay and display past 9.
