Barrier was closed unfortunately. We drove back up the road to Elfkirk Point which had a lovely view, but costs £10pn

Arrived in the evening after a long drive to a closed gate. No signs to say opening times so no idea when it opens or closes. Beautiful views on the way there but many signs in the area that show they aren't very welcoming to vans/wild campers. Continued on to Scotland instead. If you're still wanting to try this spot and you're coming from the south, there are plenty of good spots on the way!

Nice quiet spot, we saw no other people during our 1 night stay. Nice walk down to the reservoir but pitch itself can be a little muddy depending on the weather. Would come back again.

A beautiful quiet spot, it was in Early Feb so it was cold and deserted..no services, no bins so take your rubbish home with you. Plenty of woodland walks.

Endroit calme et plat, pas exceptionnel mais pas mauvais. Quelques balades à faire en forêt autour du lac. Eau du lac pas propre donc il est déconseillé de se baigner, quelques midges près du lac et en forêt. Pas de services. Nous étions 3 fourgons pour la nuit.
