Monachil, Los Cahorros

Parking in height of Monachil, sort of esplanade at the beginning of the hike of Los Cahorros. Cleaner than the indicated parking lot in the center of the village which was quite creepy (trash everywhere and abandoned cars) ..

Bit of garbage lying around, even if there is a no camping sign we had no issues, locals very friendly, there was another van as well

Parking genial con buenas vistas, ideal para las rutas de cahorros y escalar, es tranquilo excepto fines de semana por coches que llegan con música, o si te toca algún personaje incivico, pero es muy tranquilo! Estuvimos 3 noches sin problemas! Los fines de semana está concurrido por excursiones

Estacionamiento bien ubicado para hacer la excursión a los Cahorros. Pero muy ruidoso durante la noche, coches pasan a gran velocidad por la carretera y algunos entran al parquing con la música alta. A pesar del cartel ilegal de prohibición AC nos quedamos a dormir y no nos han dicho nada. No lo recomiendo por el ruido y que en el suelo hay muchos preservativos.

Parfait pour une nuit, aucun service, belle vue, le calme, il y a un panneau interdit au camping-car mais nous y sommes restés pour pouvoir faire la randonnée le matin car beaucoup de monde

Parking très bien placé et dans un beau cadre entre la Sierra Névada et Grenade. Cependant, il y a un grand panneau interdisant le stationnement des camping-cars et des caravanes. Nous n'avons donc pas pris le risque d'y rester. Dommage car le parking dans le bourg n'est pas attrayant.

Quiet and flat park up. Useful for the night before/after hiking Los Cahorros. Civil Guard passed 3 or 4 times and didn’t move us despite the ‘No Autocaravanas’ sign.

Aunque hay señal de no estacionar caravanas y autoc. no hemos tenido problema alguno en pernoctar. Amanecer con estas vistas es un lujo. No le doy 5 estrellas porque por la noche montan fiestas en casas cercanas y se escucha la música.

We stayed here one night in October but it was very noisy (cars coming and going and sounding their horn, plus karaoke until early hours at a place nearby) but great location to start gorge walk early the next morning before it gets really busy.

Nous sommes restées 2 nuits sans aucun problème le parcours des Cahorros est à faire facile et ludique compter 3h

Great parking spot to spend a few nights, especially if you plan to hike. There were only a few other campers staying overnight with us in February, but as it was over a weekend the carpark filled up with day hikers both mornings.

There is a sign that says no campers etc but we ended up staying here for 4 nights without any problems. It gets very busy at weekend and cars pop in through the night but otherwise it’s a good spot. There’s great climbing, biking, running & walking all around this area.

Loved this spot. Spent one night here in early October. Very peaceful and flat. Lots of great hikes start from here. No facilities but beautiful location and scenery

Précision, panneau interdiction de stationner mais nous n'avons pas eu de problème. Arrivés vers 19h et repartis en début d'après-midi le lendemain. Y arriver tôt le matin ou en fin de journée car très utilisé pour la randonnée de Los Cahorros qui débute juste en bas. A faite car superbe et gratuite. prévoir 2h de balade.
