    Perfect for us. 6.5m camper.

  • 5/5

Good location, I have stayed twice. walk into the town no problem. cricket club people are friendly

  • 3/5

Está bien para una parada en ruta, hay un Lidl cerca y una lavandería.

  • 3/5

Very convenient stop. But there are major building works going on next door so loads of builders parking in the carpark. Work started on the building site at about 7:30am.

  • 5/5

perfect spot to visit Kendal. We had to pay 2 pounds in a honesty box.

  • 5/5

Car park was full during the day due to cricket match but many spaces in the eve/night. Fair few other vans/motorhomes. Cricket game was on and the players/staff are so friendly and nice. £10 for the night with access to cricket club toilets until late around 11pm. Short walk about 10-mins into town and the chip shop across the road from cricket club 10/10! Overall perfect for a night in Kendal town :)

  • 4/5

Jolie petite ville...Gros avantage: à 10 minutes du centre ville, restau, boutiques, charity shops... Nuit calme, vue sur le terrain de cricket... 10 £ dans la honesty box accrochée au club house.

  • 5/5

lovely spot on the edge of Kendal. No official facilities, but if you are polite, you can use the bar toilet when it's open. There is an outdoor water tap near the outdoor picnic benches. 10 minute walk into Kendal. About 7 vans the night we were there, all very friendly. Some building work next to the car park but nothing happening at weekends. Very much worth £10 to be so near to Kendal.

  • 5/5

Quiet Sunday night with 1 other MH and 1 camper. Used honesty box. Buildings still continuing with some noise from 7am. Great location for Kendal and thanks to the CC for keeping this going.

  • 5/5

Stayed on the 4/2/23. Had a lovely stay. Went and paid our £10 at the bar. Staff and customers were all so helpful and friendly. Walk to town was nice and simple. Highly recommended! Will definitely be going back later in the year.

  • 4/5

stayed here ( again) last night. still only a tenner. you can use the honesty box on the club wall , or go inside and pay. a pint of cider was £3.60. its about 5-10 minutes walk to kendal town centre. building work going on next door but very quiet at night

  • 5/5

Stayed 28/10/22. There is a McCarthy & Stone building site next door but if you drive in to the spaces, you are looking at the cricket pitch rather than the back of the building site. We went in the bar which opened at 4pm to pay our tenner to stay. Their were a good few teatime/after work drinkers. We were pleasantly surprised at the inexpensive drinks prices. Bar staff & locals very friendly.

  • 4/5

Stayed here last night 08/22. Really good location, noisy in morning as building work going on next to spot. Work started at 7. Overnight quiet. Highly recommend the fish and chip shop opposite.

  • 3/5

They chargev£10 per night, which I thought was expensive for the location. Ok, its in Kendall, but its surrounded by industrial estates and hardly a pleasant outlook. Having said that, its flat, secure and close to town centre. Very popular too, with 6 vans there today. Decent facilities, lovely little bar.

  • 5/5

Stayed here last night, a Saturday, in the Bongo, and used as a base for going into Kendal. Nice and quiet through the night. Car park was very busy when we arrived as there was a cricket match in progress with a lovely atmosphere around. Didn't use the bar as the kids were being a nightmare! I noticed 3 or 4 other vans staying over night, lots of cars remained overnight also. Will stay again.

  • 5/5

Was told £5 for a van by the bar staff. Clean toilets open till late. 10 mins to town. Will use again.

  • 3/5

Nice even car park, easy access but a little dear at £10 per night, especially when you are woken up at 7 in the morning by building works. I guess it was fine before this all started. Safe and close to amenities but not for us.

  • 4/5

Very convenient for the town, (10 mins walk), reasonably secure for those used to semi-wild stopovers, with toilet facilities during clubhouse hours ie until about 10.30-11.00 weekdays. Still £10.00per night. Quite a few vehicles on a March 2022 Thursday night, including 5 motorhomes, so likely to get much busier in high season

  • 5/5

great place to stop. a tenner a night. tarmac carpark. the club has a bar. staff are lovely. We even played bingo with the locals lol. fresh water to the left of the clubhouse. waste bins. 5/10 mins walk to kendal town centre. another pub and a chippy across the road. great place.

  • 5/5

Stayed here last night, had a few beers and chatted with very friendly club members in the bar while watching some T20 cricket on TV. One other van in the carpark, very quiet night. Recommended!

  • 5/5

This place is great place to stay, we stayed one night and had no problems, payed £10 in the club house which was really friendly and had a 10min walk to town, great pubs and a really nice curry house, can’t wait to come back again.

  • 5/5

My husband and I were recommended here by someone other VW transporter owners and it was perfect for what we needed. An honest box for us to leave £10, toilets in the evening but non in the morning. No noise in the night but a little in the morning as there is an industrial estate next door. Perfect stop for us and the dog though.

  • 5/5

perfect place to stay over , 5 mins walk to town. peaceful nights sleep . great clubhouse .just chatting to Gerald the club chairman . he says they put the price up to a tenner because it was getting too busy . no room for the regulars on the car park

  • 5/5

Perfect stopover. Thankyou to those who have recommended it before! Arrived about 5.30pm, busy, but still room available. Put our £10 in the honesty box and went for a mooch around Kendal. Gorgeous. Beautiful back streets, shops and eateries to die for.

  • 5/5

Safe place to stop put a tenner in the honesty box about 4 other vans and nice town will visit again

  • 5/5

Stopped over night on the way to the lakes great quite spot about 7 MHs there paid a fiver at the bar then went chippy for supper be aware the chippy closes early 8.00 and 8.30 depending on the night

  • 3/5

This car park is now £10. A great location with plenty of parking. Was full overnight. Very noisy as it’s on a main road though

  • 5/5

Cant go wrong for £5. few campers, use of toilet and club house when open. pop across the road, fish shop etc. 5min walk into Kendal. def reccomend. staff out of club house nice. photos later. also reccomend by a lady on motor home site on facebook. staying here as well.

  • 5/5

There's nothing more that can be added! Great overnight parking area.

  • 5/5

Lovely quiet park up, £5 for overnight. very friendly bar staff.

  • 5/5

First visit to this park up. brilliant club you can use and the prices are really good. staff are pleasant and helpful.5.00 in camper or 1.50 to park all day. you can use the club House toilets when open and there is an outside tap you can use 2 minute walk to kendal centre. local fish shop sandwich shop facing the grounds. what can I say.it was full by afternoon

  • 5/5

Our first off grid night in our first MH. Bit tricky to find the turn off from the main rd from Kendal centre so turned around in Sainsburys car park. Arrived about 3.30 on a Wednesday, had pick of spaces. 10 minutes walk into town, great real ale bars and brewery taps and some fab Thai food at Bangkok 7. Paid £5 next morning with friendly lady in club house. Will definitely go again.

  • 5/5

Great overnighter, Club staff very friendly, honesty box if no one there but we paid at the club bar well worth the £5. You can use the club bar if not a pub directly opposite carpark, launderette and a chippy 150 metres away, Morrison's and Aldi further along the road. We tanked up and did a bit of shopping before parking up. Town is 10 minutes away.

  • 4/5

Nice and friendly, felt very safe. Toilets (club) closes at last orders, was at 10pm last night. Doesn’t open until 4 the next day but can leave van parked all day. Nice and quiet. Bins but no other facilities. Good cheap stop off for the night.

  • 1/5

Checked this place out on a Monday evening . Horrified to see 25 large motorhomes crammed in like sardines . God help them all if someone's van set on fire . Not worth the risk , not worth the £5 AND not worthy of the 1* I'm allowed to rate it at. Go further down Appleby Road towards morrisons and pay the £15 in the large secured field with facilities at Spital Farm

  • 4/5

Nice friendly place can be a bit noisy from match day and traffic and seagull noise but we'll worth the money

  • 5/5

Quiet nights sleep at the cricket club. Lots of space for long vehicles and close to town for shops/pubs/food.

  • 5/5

An excellent stopover, flat with views over the pitch and benches alongside to watch. Matches Sat and Sun meant lots of cars and vans there so it was possible to get 'hemmed in'. park close to the gate if you're not a spectator! 5 mins into the town, the pub across wasn't catering (only a burger van calling) so we visited tbd Riverside hotel .... good food but not cheap!!

  • 5/5

Great overnight stop. Lovely friendly staff in the clubhouse. You can pay your £5 in the bar if it’s open, or pop it in the honesty box. Level parking and a quiet night, about 7 other vans here but plenty of space.

  • 5/5

Super friendly. Cricket club bar now open every day until 1030. Lovely toilets open when bar is. £5. Please pay and don't abuse this lovely stopover. Kendal is a great place to visit. Not too touristy.

  • 5/5

Perfect for overnight on our way to Scotland, clean and tidy.

  • 5/5

This was the perfect spot. £5 overnight but clubhouse was great with toilets until 10.30 the night we stayed. busy with campers but space for us. Nice staff. highly recommended

  • 5/5

Lovely overnight stop, charge is £5 per night, no services, you are allowed to use the pavilion but due to covid they are restricted to numbers, level surface, toilets available when pavilion is open. They rely on peoples honesty to pay the fiver, it helps their cricket club. over all a good little stop.

  • 5/5

Always enjoy this place. great in summer when there's a cricket match on. nice bar, friendly staff. handy for town centre shops.

  • 5/5

Nice little spot, a bit of noice from the passing traffic nothing that would bother you at all, short 10 minutes stroll in to Kendal centre.

  • 5/5

Perfect for an overnight. We were on our way to Scotland and this did the trick. Safe and quiet.

  • 5/5

Great place to stop and its ideal for a short walk into Kendal. the staff are friendly and welcoming with a great pint at very good prices. it was quite busy with 16 motorhomes and campervans but a few spaces left.

  • 5/5

A nice quiet location for Kendal - nice chippy across the road and not too far to walk Into Kendal Friendly colleagues in the cricket club where you pay your fiver :-) will certainly use again

  • 5/5

Good parking ground, cricket club is rather nice inside, staff friendly me and the other half popped in for a drink, would stay here again.

  • 5/5

Needed somewhere to stop overnight was close to pub lots of others doing the same! Fab place

  • 4/5

Good stay friendly staff quiet place

  • 4/5

    Great spot. Nice clubhouse

  • 4/5

Excellent stopover, stayed a few times although no services toilets in the clubhouse when open and plenty of pubs and restaurants in easy walking distance.

  • 5/5

Stopped here late October. Honesty box outside listed the new price of £5 per night. I popped in the clubhouse and paid there. Clubhouse was welcoming and reasonably cheap for drinks. only a 5 min walk into central Kendal and it was quiet overnight. Will use this spot again.

  • 3/5

Stopped here a few times always quiet at nighttime, short walk into town

  • 5/5

Love it here, been a few times. Honesty box or pay in bar...

  • 3/5

The parking is quiet at night. We had a very good meal in the pub across the road

  • 3/5

Je confirme. La nuit est calme.
