Waren gestern dort.

Beautiful beach and location. Very friendly attendant who charged me £3.50 for my lwb high top campervan. £10 for motor homes. No overnight camping. Dog friendly.

  • 4/5

Beautiful view of seafront, few steps and on it. No overnight parking, £3.50 for van to park. Dog friendly beach.

Definitely not camper friendly.. i used to park here with my motorhome and Bamborough behind the castle with no problems but nowadays i find that its like everything is going control were you go and what you do. The locals don't want you parking and make it has unpleasant as possible no matter how friendly you are.

£10 for anything with a high roof, even our MWB van conversion. No overnight, no toilets, no water, no bins. Parking is free in the town, if you can find a spot but I’d go elsewhere, they clearly don’t want us!

I didn't stay, but walked past to check out the signage. Big No Overnight sign,& washed out signs that say only open between 9am and 10pm (barely visible). The gate was open when I went at 7, so there's a chance I'd have gotten away with it because of the time of year. Its very potholey. If you don't park here, use the other spots on Riverside road and then move here first thing, it's beautiful

Paid £3 for my berlingo. Beach side parking available.

Price for motorhome is now £10 per day. May 2021

Charges gone up,7 pounds for vans/motorhomes, keen parking attendant. Stressed no Overnight parking and was hastled/reminded twice. Read village newsletter, alot of trouble with motorhomes and overnighters, so massive complaints and clampdowns. already closed another area. Gate was locked at 9:45, just before I left. fee applicable for even a short stay ! She's even got a card reader !

Lovely daytime car park right on seafront with loos nearby. £2 charge. Unfortunately owners have put up fence and gate which states will shut at 10pm and people not welcome to overnight here. Shame.

Stayed over the mad post lockdown period.Paid for tickets, ate and drank in excellent local pubs. Very quiet litter free car park next to sea, but spoiled by car park attendant hassling us, they don't want campervans here.

Lovely spot we were here at the weekend it was full, and there were lots of motorhomes. I was so impressed, not a scrap of litter left and no noise. We paid for two tickets and stayed overnight. But got told off this morning, told us not to come back, apparently they re putting up barriers.

Lovely quiet place. Few campers here but lovely views and no hassle

  • 5/5

Arrived after 6pm, no parking attendant on site. One small sign (easily missed!) stating no overnight camping. One other camper, lovely outlook. Very quiet. Left early next morning.

  • 5/5

We arrived in day. Paid for parking and we stayed overnight. One other van. No issues. We left early. Amazing spot right next to beach.

The car park is £2 for the day, not £7. I arrived about 20:30 and found the sign for no overnight camping. Two VW’s parked in the car park. I followed the directions to the road parking and found a lovely spot near a little wooden shack. Very quiet street, only disturbance was a dog walker with a head torch shouting for a dog in the darkness. Drove back to the car park around 7:30 am and stayed until lunch time. Ended up not paying as parking attendant not on shift when I arrived.

Thank you for the information. We stayed all day at this car park then parked up on the road suggested. We had a great nights sleep

Now has several no overnight parking signs. Go out of the car park to the top turn left and left again and go round to the dead end road to where the boats are moored. Roadside parking is free there and there’s space to turn a motorhome at the end. Easy access to the town with several shops and pubs. Had a very quiet night there mid week.
