Now £10 to park for the night £20 for hookup, bit overpriced for what it is. Services free. Pub very quiet on a Tuesday. Black waste hard to drive right up to but possible for smaller campers and vans.

De pub is tijdelijk gesloten wegens renovatie. We mochten de nacht doorbrengen op de parking achteraan. Mogelijkheid tot eten in pub 500 meter verderop. Supermarktje eveneens op wandelafstand.

Very friendly and helpful staff. £10 electric hook up and free if no electric needed. We just turned up on the off-chance looking for a place to sleep before climbing Scafell Pike the following day. They went out of their way to accommodate us in the restaurant at short notice. Nice, quiet, scenic location and even a 'pony' parking area. Ha ha ha.

Great stop over, very pleasant helpful staff, great food, One word of caution we have an 8 meter long motor home and found the entry is very tight,

Great stopover. Rang ahead to book in. We didn’t need EHU so parked at the back of the car park. Friendly, welcoming staff and it’s a very relaxed, unstuffy atmosphere. We had the excellent steak and ale pie. Stayed 2 peaceful nights. Would definitely recommend.

Full marks for the host. 10 minutes notice and booking accepted. All food excellent and helpful staff. Water and waste facilities free to use. Definitely recommend but do ring first, we are here on a Wednesday along with 10 other vans.

This is a gem of a place!!! Food is fantastic and the staff are so helpful. I highly recommend this as a place to eat and stay. The steak and ale pie was the best I’ve ever had!

We stayed here for two evenings at the beginning of the week, the hotel let you park for free but obviously hope that people will use their restaurant/farm shop. They also charge £10 for electric hook up if you want it. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and the food was incredible and the staff were also really fantastic, we'll definitely be back again in the future! Remember to call ahead!

Free parking for camper, the pub has delicious food also!

Amazing spot we stayed here for the night woke up to lovely views of scarfell pike behind us (at the moment it’s only open to key workers) it was £10 for the night what includes ( waste water drop off / 240v hook up ) none of the other facilities are open (toilet /showers) at the moment , if you do stay here there is a sister pub down the road called the lion and lamb which done lovely food and humongous sized burgers, and wasn’t overly expensive, definitely recommend for a stop off. Dog friendly and kid friendly as they have a massive playground.

Great little spot. We spent a few nights while exploring the surrounding area. The children’s play park is great, and the views are just beautiful. We ordered food from their sister pub, the Lion and Lamb which was divine! Will definitely be back to enjoy this spot again.

Fantastic place. I called in the morning and the pub staff were lovely, we are there in the evening and the food was incredible. They were happy for us to use the facilities in the evening and the morning. Would come here again.

Great little spot to explore the west Cumbria coast. We had a fantastic meal in the pub and a nice walk afterwards. Quiet at night, had a great sleep.

Using our Brit stop guide we phoned ahead. Stayed 3 nights in the car park in our motorhome. Amazing views of Scafell. All facilities eg, grey/ black waste disposal. Water too. Electric if needed for £10 a day. Great spot for families as there is a park for kids. Our stay was free if we purchased some drinks/ food which we did. Cracking carvery on the Sunday. The staff are so friendly and we have nothing but positive things to say. We will definitely return. Dawn and Col

Lovely people running the pub, free to just stay the night, or £10 if you need mains power. Nice view and quiet spot.

Stayed here for one night Sept 2019 - cost £10 for hook up with views across the fells! Pub was nice with good beer & great food. Only downside is the toilet/shower facilities expected end of 2018 still aren’t there.

Great site, 3 level pitches, water and electric available. Electric charged at £10. Food in pub was great. Friendly staff and owners. Nice views from pitches and a great kids play area. Good location for access to Wasdale.
