motorhome car park is at the very end of the lane . £4 for the day £10 overnight. We was going to stop overnight but decided to move on to Paignton .

  • 4/5

Quiet Sunday night, three other vans. App works for overnight payment as long as you pay during qualifying time period.

  • 3/5

The car park itself is fine, had a good night and it was quiet enough. Very annoyingly though the RingGo app doesn't have an option for overnight parking, only daytime parking, and the pay and display machine only takes coins, so be warned you have to have £10 in change on hand...

  • 3/5

Only car park in Totnes that allows motor homes day or night. £10.00 per night plus daytime charges. No designated/large bays but allowed to use two spaces under one ticket.

  • 4/5

This is a nice park up for visiting friends in the area. We found a lovely old pub nearby too, The Albert, where we had a couple of pints. We couldn’t get the app to work though but luckily, there was a working payment machine at the far end of the car park.

A great spot for visiting Totnes. A 5 minute walk into town for pubs and cafes (good coffee at the Bearded Barista). Small park next to the car park and a path along the river so great for dogs! £10 overnight so does get expensive if paying for day and night parking.

  • 5/5

A great park up, right beside the river. There's a toilet block a few minutes walk away. Totnes is a lovely town. Well worth a visit. £4 to park up from 9am until 6pm. and £10 to park overnight. Stayed 2 nights. No issues, and a peaceful nights sleep.

  • 4/5

lovely place to stay Riverside views £10 per night and £4 all day come on Fridays and Saturdays for market lovely vibe in town

  • 4/5

Lovely view and great place to stay. Quiet at night with lots of flat spots. Great base to explore Totnes from.

  • 4/5

Great spot for a night or 2. The app was being a pain when I was trying to pay, so I used the website instead. For day parking it considered my vehicle to be too heavy/large for the regulations, so I had to put lots of coin shrapnel in to pay in cash. I think it'd be a great idea for the charge to be slightly lower, say £8, and offer charged fresh water on a timer, say £2 for 2mins of filling.

  • 5/5

Stayed here last night. Quiet and peaceful. Plenty of parking spaces and the ones by the trees are the longest. Please note that you cannot pay for the £10 overnight charge on the Ringo app...... you must feed the parking machine ten one pound coins.

  • 5/5

Stayed here last night, the only disturbance we had was the geese passing by early in the morning haha! Spoke to parking warden before sleeping and he confirmed it is perfectly fine to park overnight. Spoke to another warden in the morning, as long as you have a £10 ticket you are all good to stay. We were among about 6 campers there.

  • 5/5

Parked up for the day and night nice area very quiet nights sleep. Toilets near by but closed in the evening 5 min walk to town £10 to stay overnight

  • 5/5

what a great spot. lovely walk along the river. Rowing club here around 8. if you don't want to be woken up wear ear plugs, don't get people that moan about car and dog walking noise when they park in a car park next to a river and footpath x easy access, I used the parking app and it was £10.20 for the night x

  • 2/5

Nice spot with walking distance in to town but not sure we would bother again . To many vehicles drive in of a evening if its not dog walkers getting out the car taking there dogs down the path with there headlamps on ( sad In the pitch black) its boy racers parking up ,we had to put up with there loud music for over a hour last night ( could hardly hear are TV in the van. Hopefully a one off .

  • 5/5

Fantastic spot. Right on the river, very quiet, just a few fisherman parking up and heading up river. The signs say £10 for overnight parking, you can stay a maximum of 2 nights, however this is only if you have £10 in change. We didn’t so used app, it would only let us pay for “all day” 24 hours £6.70! An amazing location to wake up too!!

  • 5/5

Nice place to park up. £10 for the night. Quiet apart from other motorhome owners

  • 5/5

A peaceful night, shame about early morning barking dogs & the dreaded sliding doors. Would definitely stay again. Well worth £10.

  • 4/5

Basic car park next to some really nice walks along the river. Toilets up the road and only a short walk into town. Very busy in the morning but it is a car park after all.

  • 4/5

Quiet night with no problems. We reversed into the bays along by the hedge, so nicely in a bay

  • 5/5

Es ist erlaubt hier zu übernachten. Es sind ein paar asoziale vor Ort, aber es war Genügend Platz dazwischen. Man steht direkt Neben einem Park am Fluss. Danke für den Tip

  • 5/5

lovely spot right by river very quite at night I was happy to pay £10 for the night. we spent the evening in some local pubs there were several other campers there some looked like they hadn't moved for a while and hadn't paid for parking hope they don't spoil it for the rest of us

  • 5/5

Peaceful quiet stop over for two nights max. Parking enforcement still coming round in mornings despite it being winter around 09:15 so make sure you top up nighttime parking ticket before going for morning walks. Great for dog walking and watching rowers training.

  • 5/5

right on the water lovely area stone's throw from everything you need .

  • 5/5

Steamer Quay and Longmarsh are different car parks: Longmarsh is further from the town and the ONLY car park in Totnes that accepts motorhomes. Overnight parking is free if you do NOT sleep in your van, or £10 if you do. They have been known to check in the early hours. Daytime parking is £4 per day per bay.

  • 4/5

Good location and Totnes is well worth a visit, but at the moment the payment app (RingGo) doesn’t accept the overnight payment option so the only way to pay is £10 cash in pound coins, so bring the money with you!

  • 5/5

Fab car park by the river. £10 per night 6pm to 9 am. £4.20 for all day parking. More than happy to pay to support the local community.. Totnes well worth a visit. Chilled hippy vibe with lots of lovely independent shops and history. 2 night stay max. Toilets up the road, closed overnight.

  • 5/5

See the list of carparks now open in the South Hams from the photograph

Be aware, if you do not pay for overnight parking you will be fined.

  • 4/5

New rules Overnight sleeping now allowed. Limit of 2 nights only. Cost £10

  • 5/5

Amazing spot, treat it with respect! £10 a night is fair, toilet block 200 meters away

  • 5/5

Long Marsh car park. Overnighting is allowed by South Hams DC. From their website... Overnight parking for self contained (on board toilets) motorhomes is permitted for any period between 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. at the following car parks for a maximum of two consecutive nights with no return within 48 hours: Longmarsh, Totnes ... The cost is £10 per night.

  • 5/5

Stunning spot. Fantastic walk along well managed path (ok for wheel chairs/prams). Lots of benches and a few picnic tables. Lots of dogs off lead. Toilets are not in far car park but in the first one (steamer quay).

  • 4/5

Nice to park by the river. Been here on 4 or 5 occasions overnight now (without paying) and haven't seen anyone handing out tickets. Not to say that doesn't happen, just I haven't had one as of yet. Not that I'll pay into the governments extortion racket anyway if it were to happen.....

  • 3/5

Beware - ticketing in action, at £70 per vehicle, a silly hours, just for sleeping in the vehicle.

  • 5/5

Update on this listing 16/9/2020. I parked from around 8pm and put a £4 for 24 hour ticket on. I didn’t see any parking wardens but a local to the town, I am local but a couple of towns away, said he had seen tickets being issued but hopefully they will calm down now the season is over. The car park was quiet over night and the view was amazing in the morning. Worth a stop if you don’t mind getting a ticket. Totnes is well worth a visit.

  • 5/5

Tickets been given out all week here at 6.30am. Been fine up until now and hopefully calm back down again so just beware!! Awesome place to go though, friendly, stunning view x

  • 5/5

Great place to park for a night or 3. Quiet, safe and close to the river. Stayed here 2 nights, a few other campers also here. Head for the last car park (not the first one) and park against the trees. Free at night.

  • 5/5

Nice car park right by the river and the start of local walks. Quiet and only £4 for 24 hours stay. Plenty of space and overflow car parks if full

  • 4/5

Quiet Parking with public toilet. Camping ground just opposite the street. Camping is not allowed but stay overnight worked for us, our camper is a Bus...

  • 5/5

Excellent stay and only £4 for 24 hours

  • 5/5

Stayed overnight in our stealth camper along with another 4 motorhomes with no issues. Toilets open at 8:30 but the Morrisons is a few minutes down the road if you're desperate!

  • 1/5

Unfortunately one of those places where you can park your vehicle, even overnight, but you're not allowed top sleep in it. Why is England so motor home unfriendly?
