Easy to find and park up, option to pay £8 to park for the day which is reasonable. Nice walks, quiet at night.

  • 5/5

Nice flat car park with very clean toilets that were open at 7.30am. Parking is charged from 8am to 6pm but free overnight. There are 2.2m barriers over the entrance and exit but these weren’t in operation yesterday, possibly due to it being low season. Well done Powys council on providing this car park that’s right next to a nice long river walk and the town centre.

  • 5/5

Great facility provided by Powys Council. Nice spot by the river with showers (£1 entry plus 2 x £1 coins) and free toilets. Market stalls in the morning and an interesting town to walk around. Lovely riverside walk for the dog and takeaways and petrol station nearby. Would certainly stay again. Thanks for providing Powys Council.

  • 5/5

Great little spot free parkin after 6pm till 8am quiet showers there is a charge. plenty of room nice walk down river

  • 4/5

Good overnight stop. There were two campers and five trucks. Spotless loos tho closed at 8.00pm. Disabled loo available if you have a radar key. Not much in Builth Wells but good dog walks straight from car park along river. Powys LA seem to have got it right with this free overnight policy.

  • 3/5

Douche kost 1 pond voor toegang en nog eens 2 pond voor te douchen.

  • 5/5

Great location in the centre of town next to the river. Very level, plenty of space.public toilets until about 8pm. There is a separate area which is a shower/toilet for £1, single entry. Really nice walk along the river which forms part of the national cycle trail. Cinema is 2 minutes walk away £7 a ticket.

  • 4/5

clean toilets and shower facilities. toilets shut at 7pm and don't open until 8am. Quite after the live music gig finished across the bridge at 11pm. only 3 other vans there on a Saturday night and it was lovely waking up next to the river.

  • 5/5

Stayed overnight on the last day of the Royal Welsh Show so lots of cars during the day but very quiet at night. Stayed on a Thursday night so had to park in the centre of the car park as the Friday market is reserved for around the edge. Toilets and showers available 24/7 for £1 plus £2 for shower but public toilets are free 8am to 8pm. Wonderful river views and picnic benches.

  • 1/5

Ieri era chiuso con sbarra ai 2 mt.. Paese carino da visitare ma mi sembra di capire che non vogliono Camper.

  • 2/5

    maximum 2,20 m !!!!!

  • 5/5

Lovely spot. Clean toilets. Managed to park right next to the river. £8 all day. Free from 6pm to 8am. Showers cost £1 but were out of order when we stayed.

  • 5/5

parked up in corner of the carpark overlooking the river, lovely view and walks.we paid £8 for all day parking and free after 6pm. The Town is 2 minutes walk ,with countless pub meals and tea rooms available. showers and toilets also on site. well worth stopping off for a day and overnight stay. For people who like visiting antique shops, this ones a gem in the church at the bottom of town.

  • 3/5

We just came back from here, the car park is level, and the area is picturesque, however, it’s noisy, traffic starts early and it seemed to be a hot spot for teenagers until 0100/0200 hrs. We paid £5 for a 2 hour lie in as we were shattered, and the car park is chargeable after 0800. I guess it’s a handy stop over but I won’t be back there in a hurry sadly.

  • 4/5

Arrived just after midnight, about 6-8 other vans parked up. Still lots of room. As we arrived later we were able to get a ticket for the next morning to avoid the 8am wake up. Main toilets locked but paid £1 to use the toilet in shower facility. Peaceful night and woke up to the Park Run on Saturday morning. Great view for the morning cuppa too.

  • 2/5

Looks alright about 8 massive arctic vans taking up the entire of the car park. Looks like is blocked two camper vans in, moved on

  • 2/5

On arrival the place looked lovely, we had a pleasant walk along the riverside and into the town. It was so peaceful. We returned to the van, had supper, played cards and we commented how quiet it was. Then about 9:30ish a band started belting out loud music from the pub across the road. It continued until after 1:30am before the punters returned to their cars parked on the car park.

  • 4/5

stunning location. for once somewhere that hasn't banned overnight parking. you are allowed to stay here 1 night. great system! our issue was that you have to pay £1 to get into the showers but it didn't specify that you need another 2 pound coins (which we didn't have) once inside. so we wasted £2 with no shower! they need to sign this properly.

  • 2/5

Travelled 20 mins to this location for the showers we even called the number to check the showers were in order .. which they said yes. Got here to find the shower is not working at all unfortunately!! Ok car park but wouldn’t stay here unless showers were working. Lots of cars in car park

  • 4/5

Great spot. Got it all! Quiet, toilets, showers, walks, bins and a nice view. Town is a 2min walk. 5g. Only give it 4 stars because I had to get up early to leave lol. 6pm-8am is free. I got there at 2pm so paid until 6pm

  • 4/5

No charge 6pm - 8am. Lovely car park with free toilets open until 8pm. Shower room 50p charge but shower (£1 charge) was out of order. Right on the edge of the river with big green area and play park. Town is 2 minute walk with shops and pubs. Small market on Friday morning. Only complaint is noisy cars in the evening - playing music until 11pm

  • 4/5

very good ,but showers out if order at the moment

  • 1/5

War aufgrund von Höhenbegrenzung nicht anfahrbar.

  • 5/5

Stayed last night busy car park with lots of motor homes but still plenty of spaces for our micr camper van. Parked by the river side had tea then had a walk to local pub really friendly locals toilets locked at 8pm very quiet beautiful scenery

  • 3/5

Lovely car park quite a lot of HGVs but considerately parked 2 were noisy until 11pm but others fab and very quiet leaving in morning Lovely fruit and veg market stall set up when we woke up Great river walk and views Toilets locked at 8pm and opened around 730am

  • 5/5

excellent spot for walk down the river, car park was very quiet overnight, didn't even hear the lorries start up and leave! self service launderette just around the corner as well, perfect!

  • 4/5

Lovely stop. Picnic tables and benches around the car park on the banks of the River Wye. Friday Market. Merrie Fryer chippy supplied us with our dinner.

  • 4/5

stayed 1 night along with other vans and HGVs. quiet night, no issues. toilets locked overnight, were unlocked 7am. the shower/50p overnight wc were out of order. (just spoken with attendant who has rectified the issue) ee phone and internet reception good. tv signal good. bins nearby. HGVs left around 6.45am, not an issue.

  • 5/5

Great convenient park up. clean toilet (50p charge). free toilets locked at night. Plenty of space. Was some horn beeping for over an hour after midnight. quite a few chavs about but no one bothered us and we didn't hear with ear plugs. Lovely view.

  • 3/5

Nice location close to town, river and walks through the park. Was woken up in the early hours by a loud car driving around fast and shouting for about 20 mins, otherwise a silent night! Unfortunately the shower was broken when we tried to use it in the morning.

  • 5/5

Right by the river. Not much noise before 7am when the town traffic wakes up. Free after 6pm and £4 for the full day. Toilets are closed over night but we used the pay for shower and toilet for 50p. Lovely town and great location to stay, would recommend.

  • 4/5

It’s 50p to get into the shower room and then £1 per 6 minutes via coin operated box. Warm water, nowhere to hang clothes/towel.

  • 5/5

Lovely Riverside setting. free overnight. toilet and shower

  • 4/5

Lovely spot, quiet, toilets and showers open from 8am. Good view of the bridge. Stayed 20/09/21.

  • 4/5

Stayed here last night (Friday 17/09/21) on the recommendation of a friend. There are height barriers in place, but are currently swung back. Toilets are closed from 8pm, but were opened, and being cleaned, at 7.30am. Free overnight. I was a bit dubious at first, due to noisy kids and traffic... but once this subsided it was a very peaceful spot, and a great night's sleep. Would use again.

  • 4/5

Flat large car park, £2 per hour daytime parking but free overnight. There is a market at the back of the Car park on Fridays so be sure not to park in the last few bays either side or in the coach bay or you will be moved on. Lovely clean free toilets and showers.

  • 4/5

Handy car park overlooking the river , toilet and shower facilities during the day. Lots of timber lorries parked up the night I was there and left around 4:30 am so was a noisy start to the morning but otherwise a good place to stop

  • 4/5

Stayed here last night (Thursday) Quiet on the evening with lovely walk along the river. Went to the Indian restaurant for food, 2 mins walk, very nice. 2 HGVs in the car park, 8 campervans/motorhomes HGVs went early at 6. Market vans for setting up market came after this. 2 vans had to move. Don't park at the back coach area where the market goes. Free overnight from 6pm, £2 hr from 8am

  • 5/5

Lovely quiet spot with plenty of spaces. I oilers were opened for 8am in the morning then

  • 3/5

I agree with the last comments Saturday night is not a good time to be there the local kids are there drunk well into the night.

  • 2/5

Very noisy on Saturday night with an open-air drinking tent attached to the nearby pub and middle-aged drunks already pissing in the bushes by 8pm. We left and found somewhere quieter 10 miles south.

  • 5/5

A very convenient and pleasant stop over. lovely little town. Went to the local Indian - Ginger Leaf - delicious food.

  • 3/5

Not such a peaceful park up tonight. It's more like a motorway truck stop!

  • 4/5

Excellent Riverside parking on level ground peaceful night. Toilets and shower absolutely immaculate 50p into the shower baby changing facilities then £1 for 6min shower. Donation boxes in toilet to keep them free please be generous wouldn't want to lose this gem.

  • 5/5

Recommended. We wanted to stay in town and get an Indian takeaway. Food was great. Parking with views of the river. Bit noisy from pub but quiet overnight. Loo used to empty our van loo. Free 6pm -8am. All good if you want to be in town.

  • 5/5

March 21: Barriers are open again. New overnight price (6pm to 8am) is free for all sizes now. £1 for 8-9am for under 3.5t (sorry forgot to look for over 3.5t). Toilets clean as usual. (There’s also a shower for 50p but we didn’t use).

  • 1/5

Went to pull in car park on 7/12/2020 BUT a height barrier now in place so impossible for camper Van's to enter.. grrrrr..

  • 5/5

Stayed here on a Saturday night and noise from pub oporsite till 1am young farmers outside music. free toilets from 7am to 7pm 50p at night to use and also has a shower for additional £1. spotless clean. outside tap missing so can't top up. free to stay one night out of seven and First 2 hours free. Would highly recommend a weekly stop and great food at The Grand.

  • 4/5

Pleasant overnight stop beside the river Wye. Flat parking free of charge after 6pm until 8am. First 2 hours parking free of charge, £2 per hour thereafter. Free toilets, shower £0.50. Toilets locked at night. 2 minute walk into town.

  • 4/5

Great stopover nice flat car park . Toilets are spotless but locked at night we arrived at 7 pm and the car park had many HGV s parked . Good nights sleep but we were woken at 6am by the lorries leaving and then again at 8am by the local market stalls setting up . Pretty veiw of the river .

  • 3/5

The popular Fountains Pub place pretty loud music until midnight. I am here on Friday so I can't say if that's every night but the pub hours suggest it could be.

  • 5/5

Great place for an overnight stop. Arrived 5pm, free parking from 6pm to 8am then £2.00 per hour for MH. Quiet night, just us and another MH. Huge car park, we were able to park facing the river, lovely view. Toilets are closed overnight. Plenty of pubs and restaurants open for Sunday evening

  • 4/5

Good place to park to visit town as right there. There is a height barrier which wasn’t in place when we visited but would have been a serious issue. Toilets really clean. Didn’t stop the night

  • 5/5

Lots of lorries (10?) and loud cars in the evening. Quiet enough overnight. No showers or tap. Nice cafes in town for breakfast. Allowed 1 night in 7 which is great.

  • 1/5

Popped here for water tap no good. daytime parking £2.60 for one hour . height barriers but open in the day time

  • 5/5

Spend August Bank Holiday Monday night here. very quiet, flat, toilets open. Chip shop and Indian in town. movie theatre just over road near River bridge. 1 other camper with us and a lorry. charges before 6pm and after 8 am. would use again thanks.

  • 4/5

Lovely little village and nice place to stay next to the water. Showers have been boarded up so can not access them and there looks like there may have been an outside tap but it's not working.

  • 4/5

Good place. decent vibe etc.. free! would definitely return, unfortunately only allowed 1 night in 7 per week.
