Height restriction now 2.1, but the nice people at the coffee stand can open a gate for access for higher vehicles. Note they might not always be there though.

Stayed here on the 05 October 2020 and work seems to be underway on a part of the car park. The entrance had been narrowed and there is a height barrier now in place restricting the height to 2m (why do they do that?). Quite a lot of cars coming and going well into evening. Lovely views of the lake although the toilets were closed. No signs restricting camper vans or overnight parking but no doubt these will come.

Height restriction barrier of 2.1 m is currently being installed. Great spot if you are a small van!

Height restrictions 2metres only just gone up. Such a shame otherwise a good spot

Popular spot with doggers. Stayed here a couple of times (We're local) but the spot just around the lake is much more pleasant.

"no overnight stay" sign put up

  • 1/5

Park at the spot about 1/2 mile further down the road. This spot has lots of cars circling the car park all night but the next parking spot on is quiet

Awesome view, rather spoilt by litter and vandalised toilets. Exposed to gale force winds! No sign of any work being carried out yet. Road signs indicating road will be closed for a few days from the 11/2/19 for resurfacing. Quite a few cars pulling in late at night and driving out again.

I keep all as to what is being spoilt

I'm here today and no development yet. There are other carparks some five minutes further along the road so hopefully they will still be pleasant to use. Perhaps the local commentator can mark them and update us as to what commercial development has actually happened. :)
