such a lovely spot but as others have said had to jump in the front and leave at 9. Kids racing cars, running round the van, shouting and screaming, throwing cones about. I'm sure they were just teens being teens but we didn't feel safe. and the noise was horrible as you never quite knew where they were because of the echo. shame
we stayed on 07/06/23 for the night free only a few boy racers which lasted about an hour around 8pm. it was beautiful quiet thru the night. woke up to the goats on the road and hillside near road 14 altogether with a kid goat . pretty chilly in the morning enjoyed the experience. I recommend ignoring the boy racers and enjoy the spectacular sights
Not the place to park for longer or to stay for the night. There are many better spots for the night, if you go further up the hill.
Parked here overnight, very busy during the day but empty past 5pm. There were boy racers going up and down in the evening but they are easily ignored and gone by 10-11pm. Offers great views and the possibility of waking up to goats having come down off the Gorge! Free parking from 5pm to 9am, £5 from 9am for the day or £3 from 3pm to 5pm.
Wenn man einen ruhigen Schlafplatz sucht, dann bitte diesen nicht nehmen. Bis Mitternacht kamen ständig „boy racer“ vorbei, parkten auch immer wieder dort und waren laut.
Stayed here for 1 Tuesday night, great spot if you want to explore the caves and walks. Yes there are boy racers going up and down but we only heard this till around 10:30 when we were going to bed anyway. No other disturbances. £5.50 for 24hr
Parked there on Sunday night, but left at 9pm, due to boy racers. Way too loud and concerned with the speed and lack of skills they would crash into us. Avoid if you want a quiet spot and night. Why the police aren’t doing anything is beyond me, as the locals must be sick of the noise. We moved to a car park in the village and could still hear them racing.
Tried to stay last night (Friday night) moved on at 1am because of the boy racers :@ literally the worst noise ever. Avoid!
It's a great location and yes as other people say alot of boy racers but they don't give you any trouble...
We tried parking up here for the night but had to leave half hour after parking the noise from the boy racers driving up and down with insanely loud exhausts and the constant wheelspinning ruins it for everyone, shame because its a really nice spot
Like others have said great day parking but at night it's like Tokyo drift fast and furious.

Stayed on a saturday night. we parked at the top of the coach area. returned from the pub at around 8 to find that as other have said full of boy racers. my some of the cars are loud. we just turned the TV up, they didnt bother us and it was all over by 10.30. great spot for visiting chedder being only a 5 minute walk away.
Arrived 8 pm on Sunday evening in a 8m motorhome, looking forward to being able to find a space and park up (no chance during day in Easter holidays) and enjoy walking the next day. Car park was full of boy racers in modified cars, and the rubber all over the road left no doubt as to what their plans were. We moved on to the nearby reservoir, and can only hope we have better luck tomorrow morning
Great scenery but dead right about the boy racers. Apparently Friday night is the big racing party night to avoid. We arrived 10:30pm Saturday night and were disturbed by 4 cars until about 1am. Other nights may be fine. If you want to go any other day I suggest using the gravel layby on the left half a mile further to the road, a little further away from the main car park area.
Wir wollten an einem Freitagabend hier übernachten, Straße durch die Schlucht wurde von Rasern mit lauten Autos als Rennstrecke benutzt, durch die hohen Felswände wurde der Lärm noch extrem verstärkt. Zudem stellten sich 2 Autos direkt neben unser Wohnmobil und provozieren offensichtlich durch laute Musik u. Singen. Das hat uns dazu veranlasst, wieder weg zu fahren. Schade,denn tolle Landschaft.
Fairly loud on the road in the evening with boy racers up and down the road but not all night. Closet toilet we found was in costa in the main part of the gorge
