Quiet quarry accessed via a dirt track. Great walks, swims in the area with plenty of bird activity to watch in the quarry itself.
Très calme avec accès à la piscine naturelle dans un vieux quary. Le parking sur le terrain pourrait être rectifié mais c'est bien ici. L'observation des oiseaux est incroyable.
Very quiet with access to the natural swimming pool in an old quary. Parking on the grounds might be ground on but it is fine here.
The bird watching is amazing.
Sehr ruhig mit Zugang zum Naturschwimmbad in einem alten Viertel. Parken auf dem Gelände könnte Boden sein, aber es ist in Ordnung hier. Die Vogelbeobachtung ist erstaunlich.
Muy tranquilo con acceso a la piscina natural en un antiguo quary. El estacionamiento en el terreno podría ser terreno, pero está bien aquí. La observación de aves es increíble.
Molto tranquillo con accesso alla piscina naturale in un vecchio quark. Il parcheggio sul terreno potrebbe essere macinato ma va bene qui. L'osservazione degli uccelli è incredibile.
Zeer rustig met toegang tot het natuurlijke zwembad in een oude wijk. Parkeren op het terrein kan worden gemalen, maar het is hier prima. De vogels kijken is geweldig.

robinreems29/03/2023stayed here last year as well!! this place is just amazing. a lot of birds and it's so magical to just watch the birds fly over the water. in the evening there are a lot of Spanish people who enjoy the sun and the little beach but later in the evening you are alone here (maybe with other campers) we stayed 1 night with no problem I highly recommend this place. it's clean!!

maskverso30/04/2022Sitio con un encanto especial. Tiene bancos y mesas. Bastante nivelado para pasar la noche, y una bonita playa para pasar el día y hacer deportes acuáticos.Se pueden ver muchos buitres y alguna cigüeña negra con facilidad. Cerca del pueblo que se pueden hacer los servicios. MARAVILLOSO.

un peu trop encaissé entre les parois rocheuses. aujourd'hui c'est Samedi, il y a beaucoup de passage. nous sommes allés plus haut pour passer la nuit.
FollowTheWedas24/03/2022Mooie natuur en vet veel eagles (zeker 20 stuks) gespot! Geen voorzieningen en de koeien kunnen gewoon over het wildrooster heen dus als je dat spannend vind kan je snachts gewoon het hek dicht doen.

What a wonderful spot! Several options to park, and all are perfect. Extremely quiet in the night, very very few visitors during the day, no traffic passing, stunning view and if you want, take a swim in the lake. I spend 3 nights here, had some walks. One hiking route passes by here and is 20km long, just follow the brown poles. No services, but these can be found in Alcántara. Just lovely here

Lugar tranquilo por la noche, y algo concurrido durante el día, hemos estado en noviembre, posiblemente en verano no será así. acceso fácil con una capuchina de 7 de largo y 3.2 de alto, no hay servicios solo un contenedor de basura, mesas y bancos de construcción. Pasó la guardia civil y no hubo ningún problema. Al fondo de la cantera hay buitreras para los amantes del birdwatching

Sitio tranquilo para pasar la noche. la piscina estaba abierta en mayo y nos dimos un refrescante baño. hay mesas de piedra y contenedores de basura. no hay agua o fuente

A busy place, even in May, we stayed one night in the car park of the quarry and we were alone. It would be better to park in a spot just before the quarry, there is a gravel track to the right, quite steep but keep taking the right forks till you get to a lovely plateau overlooking the reservoir.
