Perfect for late night ferries

Nuit tranquille ! Parfait après une traversée ferry de nuit. Personnel chantier qui arrive vers 8h.

Excellent! Really convenient for me after the midnight ferry. Some works in progress so part of the site is fenced off.

What a find, really tired after leaving the midnight ferry so a 20 minute drive was perfect. Flat carpark next to a reasonably busy village road which came alive at 6am then constant but other then that great sleep. It was indeed free parking for Motorhomes only over night. Work going on at the moment to the carpark so left at 8 before breakfast as contractors arrived.

Très pratique, beaucoup de places. La route reste beaucoup fréquentée même durant la nuit. Le matin beaucoup de voitures de promeneurs. Bien agréable de vite passer la nuit après le ferry.

Before ferry

Nous avons passé notre première nuit britannique sur ce parking fort agréable. Suite au mauvais temps notre ferry avait plus de 6h de retard du coup nous sommes arrivés à Douvres à 4h du matin. Ce parking est à seulement 20 min du debarcadaire et nous a permi de pouvoir vite nous arrêter et nous coucher. La route devient très passante dès 7h ainsi que le parking. Mais c est ravissant !

Viel Verkehr Tag und Nacht. Der Platz wird zur Zeit gebaut, sodass nur wenige Plätze nutzbar sind und morgens die Bauarbeiten beginnen. Daher war es leider eine unruhige und kurze Nacht. Dennoch kostenlos und nah am Fährhafen.

Quite busy carpark, with locals using it during day and in evening. We stayed 1 night before boarding ferry which was perfect. Toilets only available during the day and construction work started at 8 am as previous people have said.

Stayed after arriving on a late ferry. Construction on-going but still places for campers. There were 3 vans there the night we stated. Nice park on other side of road. Dog walkers and construction in morning but quiet night.

A nice little parkingspace just 10 minutes from the ferry in Dover. Currently under maintanance, but still 10-20 parkingsspots availlable. We arrived 01.45 am and still had a spot. Some traffic noises, but nothing disturbing. Parkingspace flooded with dogowners in the morning for a walk in the nearby forest.

Der eigentliche Parkplatz war gesperrt, wir sind 200m weiter auf den anderen Parkplatz gefahren. Dort ist zwar auch gerade eine Baustelle, aber die Bauarbeiter haben erst um 08:00 angefangen. Abends haben wir noch Besuch einer Katze gehabt. Die Nacht war gut, die Straße wird nachts befahren aber der Lärm hält sich in Grenzen.

Stayed here for the 2nd time prior to an early morning crossing to Dunkirk. Great little spot despite some works being done, nothing obviously happening either time we stayed as we arrived tea time, shopped at Tesco filled with fuel then drove 5 mins to the car park & left at 6.45am for the docks- 5-10 mins away ! Some cars use the road but we slept great. Lovely walks too for the dog !

Is perfect for 24h catching or coming from ferry. Unfortunately the car park is closed for summer 2019 due to construction. Toilets are still in use till late. Use the other car park 200m away (which is the one with the indicated coordinates anyway;)

Stayed here 10th May overnight before early morning Ferry. Very peaceful in a great setting.

We stayed there on 9 May. Busy with cars in the evening until night. We didn't feel comfortable and went off. Then passing by again in the morning there were many cars, too.

Direkt neben den Parkplätzen des Parks ist auch eine BBQ area. Für Hunde super geeignet, da sie auf der einen Seite des Parks ohne Leinen laufen dürfen. Da wir am Anreisetag super Wetter hatten, konnten wir uns direkt am Teich hinsetzen und unser Eis vom Snack-Stand am Haupteingang genießen! Absolut zu empfehlen, der Verkehr der Straße hat nicht gestört.

Beautiful place! Bit of traffic noise but chilled. Toilets short walk and decently clean. Great stop off for ferry. Coffee and butty trailer was here on Sunday morning! Bonus!

27/4/2019 Stayed peacefully overnight, only us, no problems. Recommend this place , nice park, dog walkers early, Toilets basic , very clean, will definitely stay again when heading / leaving ferry.

Beware of closure due to works The first parking next to the facilities has been announced closed up until autumn 19 as they are enlarging the cafe and parking lots. The cafe has been replaced by a mobile downsized take away version until then. Most like quite noisy now as well.

Great spot. We're catching the ferry at midnight and waiting at this spot till then. It's only 30mins drive away. We've seen lots of dog walkers come and go today, all very friendly to us, so it seems local community is ok with motorhomes stopping for a bit here. The sign indicates no caravans or trucks or trailers and I suspect that is because the parking lot just isn't big enough for turning with those. We have a 5.6m motorhome and fit very comfortably into a normal parking spot with the back overhanging the grass by a meter or so. Anything over 7m might have a turning issue in this parking lot when it's busy during the day time. However, as soon as the sunsets, it's emptied out very quickly. Toilet is a 3mins walk passed the bbq area. Nice and clean.

Good stable place to park overnight. The road passing is indeed noisy in the evening and morning. During the night, quiet. Public toilets next to the cafe nearby. Very basic, but ok.

Please note: a bridge on the way in has a height limit of 3.6m (or 11.6 feet). Good place, nice and green. Some noise from passing traffic.

Nice place to picnic or overnight. Toilets close at dusk. there are bins. Park walk is very nice.

Très pratique pour le ferry, point positif par rapport aux autres, ce sont les recoins d'herbe pour faire pipi lorsqu'on n'a pas de wc chimique. Par contre, il ne faut pas être sensible au bruit. Le matin, la balade dans le parc est agréable !

Stayed here after leaving ferry late at night woke up to a beautiful sight. Lovely gardens and lake. Little cafe on site and toilets on site. Very clean and safe place.

Bon lloc per passar la nit tot esperant el tren cap a Calais. Al matí venen cotxes a passejar els gossos però sense massa soroi. Els serveis estan prou bé.

Nice spot for one night, perfect for dog walking. Maybe a little too much noise from the nearby street.

Attention, il y a DEUX parkings pas loin l’un de l’autre, ce qui peut semer un peu la confusion. Celui avec les toilettes est le premier en venant de la grande route (avec le panneau d’accès aux personnes moins valides). Sinon on a été bien content de pouvoir s’y arrêter après une traversée tardive en Ferry, c’est à seulement 5 minutes du port. Assez ombragé et relativement calme bien que le matin il y a pas mal de gens qui viennent y promener leur chien.

Nous sommes arrivés sur ce spot en sortant du bateau à 23h, c'était vraiment parfait !

Nous avons passé la nuit. Toilettes, fermés pour la nuit. On a poser le van à côté des jeux d’enfants sur la pelouse. Le gps indique un parking mais finalement on a trouvé le parc environ 200 metres plus loin. Ne pas hésiter à passer la grille noire après les sanitaires.

Arrived with the night ferry and didn't want to start driving right away. This spot was ideal to get some hours of rest. Not seen another car, not to much traffic either.

Stayed on 30 April 18. Not sure that motor homes are welcome, the parking is constantly busy with cars bringing dog walkers. It certainly isn't an aire. We did stay all night, but was expecting a knock on the door.
