This is a superb spot within a park, a couple hundred metres from a pebbly beach, woods and paddocks for walking dogs. plenty of bins and benches. The cafe us superb and the staff could not have been more helpful. There are also some public toilets on site, but not 24hr. I managed to get here in a 9.5m 12T off road lorry, so access is not a problem.

stayed in the grassy first car park. arrived late and left at 9 before the charges started. Nice and quiet. dog walkers in the morning.

  • 4/5

Great spot in country park with lots of walks, play park for kids…not really a beach as such, lots of pebbles and mud, sea fishing off the rocks

  • 2/5

Sous un couloir aérien et une ligne de chemin de fer mais à part ça c’est pas mal ;-)

  • 5/5

Beautiful little spot, quiet & secluded we found a sweet spot in the forest for a fire. Beach was beautiful In the morning too.

  • 3/5

Great place to wake up, not so great to sleep. It was a Saturday so a few boy racers and one bright spark decided to shine their lights on our van and blow their horn repeatedly in the middle of the night. Also missed the proximity of the airport! A beautiful place to wake up though, toilets open from 8am and lovely café open from 9.30am. Great play park/beach to keep amused in the meantime.

  • 5/5

Spent a peaceful night here. A great spot for dog walking and there is an impressive viaduct, cafe, toilets, EV charging and a really nice kids’ play area. The sea is a short walk along a boardwalk where you can see Devon in the distance from a large pebble beach. Wish we had more time to explore the area.

  • 3/5

A beautiful scenic spot with great access to the beach. We decided not to stay though as it felt too isolated for us as the only van staying overnight and young people arriving to hang out on a Saturday nights. No evidence there would be any trouble but we just didn’t feel safe as the only van. We hope to return in the summer when there are other vans for company.

Charges 10am to 5pm or 8pm depending on the season and max 15 hours stay. Lots of speed bumps on the long narrow road down to the car park. Cafe and kids play area. Limited internet reception. Walkway to the pebble beach just a few minutes walk away.

  • 4/5

Charges 10am to 5pm or 8pm depending on the season and max 15 hours stay. No overnight parking and police had been patrolling. Lots of speed bumps on the long narrow road down to the car park. Cafe and kids play area. Limited internet reception. Walkway to the pebble beach just a few minutes walk away.

  • 2/5

Nice country park. Car park no longer free. Pay and display.

  • 4/5

Arrived late. Few cars blasting music in their cars for a while but they left around 11pm. Peaceful nights sleep. 1 other camper. Cafe and toilets open at 8.30am. Lovely morning walks. Friendly locals. Morning parking starts 10am

  • 5/5

Lovely place to stay cafe, path to beach, dog walks, toilets no overnight signs 5vans parked up overnight when we were there no problems.

  • 5/5

Great spot! Highly recommend it. The Police arrived in the late evening as they patrol the area for teenagers smoking cannabis ;D the Police was ok with people with vans spending the night there so it felt like a very safe spot!

  • 5/5

Lovely park up. We stayed in the overflow right near the viaduct. 2 other vans joined us. Nice place for a wander in the morning.

  • 5/5

Good, convenient location. Overflow car park is closed in bad weather. Good 4G signal. Flat, with average sized bays. Some coming and goings throughout the night. Friendly locals. Beach path opposite. Would recommend.

  • 4/5

Lovely place to stay. The car park is not entirely flat, but there is a lot more that 2 car parking space. There is also a large over flow car park with a width restriction, but I got through easy enough in a small van. We stayed with no problem at all, morning parking starts at 10am and is £1 for a couple of hours. Bonus money this place is the ice cream selection at Mrs Marcos cafe, and the dogs

  • 5/5

Beautiful views of the viaduct. Quite a few cars and youngsters turned up throughout the night but they kept themselves to themselves- not a problem. No warden and we weren’t hassled in the overflow car park. Lots of dog walkers.

  • 5/5

Great place for an overnight stop, very peaceful and beautiful scenery!

  • 5/5

Lovely place to spend the night, weren’t 100% sure if we were able to stay the night as couldn’t see any signage and another app stated this was daytime only. Spoke to the cafe owner and she said people stay all the time, pointed us towards the overflow car park as it’s out of the way and the wardens don’t mind you parking there. Was a group of teens having a bit of a social until around midnight but nothing too loud, we were all young once! Beautiful walks around the park and the sun sets right trough the viaduct if you position yourself correctly! Would definitely stay again.

  • 5/5

Gorgeous place to stay for the night. Little cafe which is fairly priced with lovely staff. Very quiet at night with only the trains going over which stopped after 10°clock. People start to come at 7am. Tuesday 8th December 2020.

  • 4/5

Amazing spot, but unfortunately there were people speeding around, beeping horns and shouting after midnight. Apart from that a beautiful place, cafe and toilets were open in the morning.

  • 4/5

Very quiet spot with a view of the viaduct, potential for great sunset! plenty of bins, great walking trails. cafe and toilets on site, not sure if toilets 24/7 or not. apparently water behind cafe. a few cars/mopeds visited but completely quiet after midnight with no disturbances to us.

  • 4/5

Great free camp spot. Stayed here last night. Loads of space and nice and quiet. Follow the road through to the main car park for nice walks to the pebbled beach. No bother at all, but recommend camping over night in the over flow car park to allow early morning walkers/ cyclists to do their thing without disturbing your lie in

  • 5/5

We parked in the overflow car park almost immediately under the viaducts. Beautiful surroundings with only the odd car coming in to chat/smoke etc. Walkers and cyclists come here fairly early but didn't disturb us at all.

  • 5/5

This park up is great. Cafe, toilets, outside tap behind the cafe and down by the kids play ground. they are fine with campervans here. Two mins walk to a pebble beach. lovely quiet nights sleep.

  • 4/5

Stayed in the overflow car park for the night as it was more secluded than the car park. Was a great spot right beneath the viaducts. A few people around in the evening watching the sunset, and walking the trails, but very quiet over night. Technically not meant to stay the night but didn’t have any issues. In the morning the small cafe was open and bought some coffee. Staff were super friendly.

  • 5/5

Large free parklot mostly lawned, including overflow carpark area. Wider vehicles be careful of narrow entrance poles. Super place to explore with woodlands, lawns and beach access. Occasional noise of plane or overhead viaduct train. Toilets with tap and on site cafe open in day. Hidden tap behind building after playground confirmed. Popular at all hours but a good vibe and good night's sleep.

  • 4/5

Very quiet night, woke up to the chirp of birds. Didn’t hear the planes at night. Cafe closed at the moment for building works. Toilets close approx 5.30pm reopen 9am. Peaceful place, great for dogs and can get to the beach

  • 4/5

Nice spot, very friendly staff at the cafe. We did get a few late night local visitors in cars, be careful not to flash you head lights! Otherwise good, planes aren’t an issue.

  • 2/5

It's a nice spot, but unfortunately it's 2km from cardiff airport. The planes are right above your head, the first one comes in at 6.20 in the morning :D

  • 5/5

Peaceful night after 11pm. No barriers or height restriction however larger vehicles are best suited to parking in the Overflow carpark but there are a couple of posts that may be a problem for wider vehicles.

  • 5/5

Im Telling you all, come and stay here! It‘s one of the best places to stay around here, the ground es level, you have a lot of space and the caffee is right at the doorstep. Adittional to that, the staff is so friendly and kind to everyone. If you ask you can charge the phone in the shop and you have to try the cakes! Toilets are ok but the rest evens that out by far. Stayed 2 nights without any problems

  • 4/5

Arrived at 5pm, we parked in the overflow carpark. Even ground there. Soon after carpark was full of dog walkers. Nice walk along the pebble beach if you have the right footwear, amazing rugged coastline. By 9pm still a few people hanging around, possibly partying as they were quite noisy, and you are quite close to Cardiff Airport. Public Toilets and a Cafe. Quiet in the morning as raining

  • 5/5

Stayed one night nice and peaceful, we were the only van here! Right next to the beach and there is a cafe and toilets

  • 4/5

  • 4/5

Such a nice place, free parking and peaceful at night. Coffee cafe on site and toilets during the day. 5 min walk to the beach and surrounded by woodlands parks and walks in all directions. If you are a wheelchair user then you would also benefit from this place as almost all the paths are accessible. Gets a bit busy during the day but it’s a friendly buzz that I enjoyed just watching as I ate my breakfast with a cup of coffee. Definitely one I will visit again soon and do much more exploring.
