nothing to write home about but possibly because water very low. Pleasant drive from N8 but honestly? don't go further than this unless you're in 4x4
Nous avons demandé à la police où nous pouvions nous garer et ils nous ont offert de rester juste à l'extérieur de leur enceinte. C'était très sûr. Les routes de et vers Ourtzargh sont assez rudes (et la ville elle-même) mais le paysage et les gens valent l'effort supplémentaire.
We asked the police where we could park and they offered us to stay right outside their compound. It felt very safe. The roads to and from Ourtzargh are pretty rough (and the town itself too) but the landscape and the people are worth the extra effort.
Wir fragten die Polizei, wo wir parken könnten, und sie boten uns an, direkt vor ihrem Gelände zu bleiben. Es fühlte sich sehr sicher an. Die Straßen von und nach Ourtzargh sind ziemlich holprig (und die Stadt selbst auch), aber die Landschaft und die Menschen sind die zusätzliche Anstrengung wert.
Le preguntamos a la policía dónde podíamos estacionar y nos ofrecieron quedarnos justo afuera de su complejo. Se sentía muy seguro. Los caminos hacia y desde Ourtzargh son bastante difíciles (y la ciudad en sí misma), pero el paisaje y la gente merecen el esfuerzo extra.

aston221/03/2023Très bon accueil de la gendarmerie qui recueille nos coordonnées ( passeport/Carte grise) et nous autorise le stationnement devant la gendarmerie.sur le terrain en herbe .
gertlohse17/03/2023Platz an der Stasse gegenüber der Polizeistation. Die Polizisten waren sehr freuen, haben die Personalien aufgenommen und uns eine gute Nacht gewünscht. Leider ist der Platz zwar sicher, aber es lag viel Müll auf der Straße und den Wiesen. Nachts war es durch die Autos recht laut. Im Ort gibt's Bars und man bekommt morgens Baquette.
mjvemg06/03/2023We parked here for 3 nights. Simply ask the police if it’s ok. Park opposite. Fantastic views. Shops for provisions just 3 minutes walk. Every Saturday there is a huge Souk at the bottom end of the village. No tourists! Very authentic and well worth a visit. It’s on the main road and traffic does pass. But we slept ok. No barking dogs all night! Amazing sunsets. Easy walk down the the reservoir.

Magnífica puesta de sol, con el embalse y las montañas al fondo. Todo un poco embarrado porque llovió. Hoy hubo mercado (sábado). La gendarmería real nos permite aparcar delante de su comisaría, en la zona verde. Toma nota de los pasaportes
natalily07/04/2019Tranquille et gendarmes et gens très aimables. Souk le samedi vaut le coup d'œil. Par contre, c'est vrai que les routes que l'ont a emprunté pour venir et partir sont défoncées, mais jolis paysages et gens courtois.

A nosotros también nos invitaron a estacionarnos pegados a la gendarmeria. Ningún problema y la gente amable. Bonitos paseos alrededor.
