Quiet after the trains stopped at 11pm. Toilets open all night. Lovely walks and pubs, bakery and grocers in the village. Very picturesque.

Train pour Newbury 3,90 £ par trajet ou balade à vélo confortable sur le chemin de halage.
Il peut y avoir beaucoup de monde, surtout en semaine.

vous pouvez toujours vous garer à côté des toilettes assez longtemps pour vider la cassette, etc. mais le stationnement n'est plus convivial

Train to Newbury £3.90 each way or comfortable bike ride on the tow path.
It can be very busy, especially during Week days.

you can still park next to toilets long enough to empty cassette etc. but no longer parking friendly

Tagsüber geöffnete Toiletten und sauberes Wasser. Die gegenüberliegende Kneipe bietet ebenfalls kostenlose Parkplätze für Kunden. Ein kleiner Laden im Dorf.
Zug nach Newbury für 3,90 £ pro Strecke oder bequeme Radtour auf dem Treidelpfad.
Besonders an Wochentagen kann es sehr voll sein.
UPDATE – 10. November 2018 – Es wurde eine Höhenbeschränkungsstange installiert, die nichts über 1,80 m zulässt.
Sie können immer noch lange genug neben Toiletten parken, um Kassetten usw. zu leeren, aber nicht mehr parkfreundlich

elliegood4229/08/2023Stopped here to empty toilet and fill up water, it's a little entrance way into a car park just after the railway crossing (opposite the pub). The height restriction wasn't there so easily got our 2.7 metre van through. The Elsan disposal was about a metre of the ground so be aware it does take some lifting - the better water point is by the canal at the end of the car park. 100% a good pit stop.
SturdyVa05/08/2023Very nice area. Walks along the canal so you can enjoy the peaceful scenery and a pub with very good food. Boat owners very friendly. However, it is right next to a train line/ train station that runs day and night (every 15-30min during the day and every hour during the night). I wouldn’t recommend if you are looking for a peaceful night or if you are a light sleeper

Arrived mid afternoon. Very clean & quiet area despite the occasional passing of zooming trains. Plenty of parking spaces. Our evening was undisturbed. Lovely walks along the canal in both directions. Folk are so friendly here. Emptied our loo & filled up with drinking water before we departed.

Black water disposal and fresh water filling point all free and easy to get to. The height restriction gate was open when we visited.

A little scruffy and train traffic is a bit noisey. However, toilets and water available. Good stop over for 1 night.

rare to find spots like this in the UK. Toilets, bins, elsan and water all in one place. Please respect the area as we don't want to loose it!! Parking quite busy and near railway but it is a lovely area for lunch.

only one spot when we arrived. we parked between some abandoned cars at the far end of the car park. toilet ok, was open all night. pub across road good. this spot is outside the village. not huge amount of noise from trains / Station. Nice canal and lock for a walk.

On a passé un nuit très calme. Le spot est silencieux car les trains s’arrêtent tôt. Il y a des toilettes propres à côté. Il est écrit qu’elles ferment à 7:30PM mais elles sont restées ouvertes toute la nuit. Le petit village et le bar à côté d’un pub sont très sympa. Le stationnement est au bord d’un canal avec des péniches et des tables de picnic. La balade le long du canal est sympa.

Lovely little spot next to the canal. Toilets, water, bins, and no height restriction - at least while I stayed over on a Sunday night.
VnWTravels09/11/2018Very useful access to WC emptying. There is a separate clean water tap on the tow path. If it is full you can ask at the pub over the road. The trains do stop eventually.

Unlocked dump point, and tap to rinse. I wouldn't use the water for drinking there is also an in closure with dumpsters that says no fly tipping but I'm guessing if you needed to throw some trash away nobody would stop you. I wouldn't sleep here due to the train noise. but glad to find a free dump point to empty the loo and waste water
