Superb and quiet place right next to the Sad Hill cemetery, filming location of "the good, the bad and the ugly". For the fearful one must know that there is no death. It's just a movie set. We had a really peaceful night in beautiful scenery. The roads to get there are chaotic but passable. you have to roll slowly.

Bon camí des de Contreras. Aclarir que la pel·lícula és la famosa "El bueno, el feo y el malo". Si busqueu en les tombes trobareu les dels tres protagonistes. Al juliol de 2020 hi havia flors a la Ennio Morricone.

No services but great scenery. Took the advice and came from Contreras so although it’s a dirt road, it was a straight forward drive. There are stones along part of the road on the edge to stop you going too far over. This makes it a single track in some places and I’m glad we drove it during the day. We only stayed for lunch, but overnight seemed possible. Lots of walks nearby.

Site looks good and it's a great for fans of the movies. We visited on a Saturday and it was very busy with lots of cars. Later two motorhomes were being very noisy with music, guitars and drums so we did not stay sadly. Perhaps avoid weekends and holidays if you want a quiet stay.

Sitio tranquilo y agradable para dormir junto al cementerio Sad Hill, plató de cine conocido por la película El bueno, el feo y el malo de Clint Eastwood. El acceso es por camino de tierra y cantos. No es complicado pero desde Santo Domingo de Silos es algo largo y un poco más complejo que desde Contreras, por el desnivel. Sin cobertura móvil y la zona trasera estaba algo sucia de papel.

Site historique du tournage. Mythique!!!!!! Par contre, le chemin, deux choix. Chemin de terre depuis Contreras, correct et pas dangereux. Vous arrivez par le bas du site. L autre chemin, lui,part de Santo domingo de silos arrive par le haut, donc vue sur le site à couper le souffle. Ça monte, env 6km, avec des endroits creusés. Novice éviter... Notre profilé de base passe, après plus gros, evitez. Tout ça sans indication évidemment. Aucune interdiction sur place. Nuit limpide et sans bruit

Llegamos al anochecer y ya no se veía el cementerio, así que decidimos quedarnos a dormir. Lugar increíblemente tranquilo y silencioso.

Update to previous post ... the road here from both directions does have a makeshift gate across the road , but it’s only to stop the cows getting out ! You can go through and reach Sad Hill. I would recommend taking the route from Contreras though as the route we took was very steep and stoney and not a road I’d want to drive again. Fabulous place and we had the place to ourselves

Tried to get here today 24/8/18 and sadly the road to it is blocked off about a mile away from the location.

Trop fort au milieu de rien, nous voilà en plein milieu de Sad Hill. Possibilité de bivouac et belles pistes à parcourir.

C'est franchement a voir!! c'est chouette d'avoir laisser le décor ! MERCI ! (toute fois peut être a éviter les jours de pluie) la route d'accès est relativement correcte elle est entretenue pour accéder a la carrière.
