Lay by with spaces for about 8-10 campervans / motorhomes. The lay-by is set back from the road and shielded by large bushes. Traffic during the day is understandably noisy as it’s a main road, but lessens at night to the very occasional car passing. Direct access to the loch from a stony beach. It was perfect for us taking our paddle boards, kayak etc. and other groups were camping on the beach. Would stay again! :)

Boulders in place now so limited spaces. There were three vans including us. 1/2 min walk down to the lake and it’s absolutely beautiful. Right by the road, but separated by bushes/trees Slept really well. Felt safe. Quiet traffic in the night.
Excellent stop over. Safe off road. Beautiful view by Loch. Good signal.
Was the only one there! Nice and quiet at night, tucked away behind bushes. No facilities but good access for a swim :)
Amazing park up!! Only two other vans. Little bit of road noise but nothing to keep us up!! Stunning views of lake and Ben Lomond - highly recommend!!
Great spot stayed start of Jan. unfortunately I didn’t have my paddleboard but other vans did and was an ideal spot very flat water & literally 10 steps down to the beach. Full signal on 3 also
Only room for 2/3 campers now, as main carpark area is blocked off by boulders. Only a very short walk down to the water front though! Slightly noisy at night as so close to the main road, and notable noise during the day. Convenient location for a night though!
Parkeerplaats aan de grote weg. In de nacht hebben wij echt wel veel last gehad van het verkeer die voorbij reed. Doordat er veel regen is gevallen, stond het water van Loch Lomond ook hoog waardoor er geen strandje meer was bij de parkeerplek en wij dus in de camper moesten blijven. Wat ons betreft alleen een slaapplek voor nood.
Only space for 2 or 3 vans now. Large hard-standing area has been blocked off with boulders. Still good for an overnight, walk to loch side beach. Path set back front the road is a 36 minute walk into Luss where there’s toilets (50p) and a village shop that does hot rolls and drinks.
Great for a late stopover. We arrived at 11pm to find 1 large space available, perfect for our motorhome. Just off the A82, so you can hear road noise, but nothing excessive and the passing lorries don't shake the van! We woke to sunny skies and a beautiful view of the Loch after a short walk down to Culag beach. Would definitely stop here again if passing.

Lovely spot, hidden from the road with stuning view, direct access to the beach, ducks and swans on the lake. Some noise coming from the road but ok at night.

Fantastic spot, stunning views, with direct access onto a stony beach. Other vans here so felt very safe. Just off the main road so a bit noisy with traffic, but shielded by trees...pretty perfect for an overnight stop I would say!
Lovely spot, couldn’t find it on the permit site so didn’t get one. Dog walkers. Left at 11am and was not bothered all night. Great little area. No toilets/bins/ anything. Signal was ok on phone.
Really enjoyable stony beach to spend a day / overnight stay with plenty of spaces. Shielded from the road via bushes.
Great little beach right next to car park with stunning views! Prepare for business during peak season! First night not so bad and easy ish to tune out constant traffic, however, second night a large group turned up and were chatting until 3am. Lots of litter too. In hindsight, I’d go for the day and enjoy the beach and then leave and park somewhere quieter (check out the forestry car parks).
Fantastic spot of the main road. Roads are busy during the day but very quite during the night. We stayed there for just one night as a stop off but the views are amazing and as shock as I was the loch was warm so very nice to go for a swim. Only 4 stars due to the rubbish left by others which is a shame to the place.
5*= Excellent. Loved this little spot. Was great to be able to open the back doors onto the loch, until the midges came of course. Nice little pebble beach. Set back far off the road. Lots of spaces.
I stayed here with quite a few other Campervans.Nice view over the lake,and there is a little beach. It was sad to see people just left their bags with litter standing by the road. It must be really difficult to take them home...the whole place was full of litter. Had a good sleep, it was a quiet place
Nice spot close to the beach. Very close to the road though. It lessens at night, but there is huge trucks in the morning again.
Quite popular , but Great layby , well was in till woke up at 6am by ned playing jungle...
We had a really good nights sleep here sheltered from the road by trees as well as lay-by. It did get full up but quite late (we got a good spot in the middle by the beach about 5.30 and there was lots of space then. Evening sat on the beach and morning paddle boarding on the loch was lush. Quiet and we weren’t bothered by any real road noise.
Fantastic view, plenty of space next to a beach. Slightly sloping down towards beach. No bins and quite a bit of litter. Sadly our stay was ruined by several cars arriving at 10.30 and unloading very noisily to have a beach party (March in sub zero temperatures!). They left again between 12.30 and 1.30 am with lots of car door banging, loud talking etc and left all their litter behind.
No signs for stopping overnight parking. Set back from the main road with trees surrounding. Bit of road noise. Good for a night stop.
Stay here for one no with no problem. Absolute amazing view of the lake and a little gravel beach too.
Very close to the lakeside, lots of room and a poo bin! No bin and a little bit of traffic noise but during the night was no issue x

Set back from the busy road. Parked with no problems and went fishing. There is a lot of road noise but it was quiet at the night time.
Superbe vue au lever du lit, un peu de passage mais rien de gênant. Je recommande cet endroit.
