John the landlord greeted me as I came in showed me were to park,had food very good meal staff 10 out of 10 ,excellent stop over by the canal.would use again.

Shown into a space by the canal by the landlord. Friendly people and locals too. Had a great meal at a reasonable price and spent a very quiet night. Definately use this stop again.

Perfect stop off on the way to the Lakes. Pulled up way after closing time, but managed to grab a space right by the canal. Free parking. Away from the road so very quiet. Would stay again

Nice location next to canal. Friendly staff and owners are fanatical motorhomers/ campervaners themselves so appreciate your requirements. Great one night stay on way back from Peak District , will use again. Has pool table too ;)

Great overnight stop over. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was well priced and tasty. Beautiful canal for dog walks. Would definitely recommend and will return!

Landlord greeted us and showed us to a nice level spot adjacent to the canal. lovely and quiet, very friendly staff at the pub and tasty food. great walk along the canal and round the quarry all dog friendly.

stop is ok next yo canal. food was ok but basic.. pity there was no open fire . but the staff were friendly .

Great site - dog friendly - lovely canal walks- local shop - friendly locals and staff - overnight camping free plus you can hire a room if free to shower for £10. Good menu and good prices.

Stayed one night parked next to the canal. quiet place to spend the night. short walk down the road to a co-op to top up on groceries. friendly staff in the pub dogs made welcome. Lovely stopover.

Nice little car park behind a friendly pub. On a beautiful canal with a nice walking path. We bought two pints and used the facilities. We also had a nice vegan breakfast in the pub in the morning- they were very accommodating. No charge for parking. Free drinking water tap on the canal side. Nice playground in the back that our son enjoyed.

Lovely little spot to break the journey from East Anglia to the Midlands. Surf n Turf was excellent and the kids really enjoyed their shared cod and chips. Bar staff were friendly and helpful. We only stopped for dinner, but the location next to the canal looked like a pleasant place to spend the night.

Stayed for one night in Feb. Staff very welcoming and food great. If it’s peak season or there’s something on at the NEC I would give them a call first.

Nous avons été accueillis par les propriétaires absolument charmants. Nous n’avons pas mangé mais nous avons passé un excellent moment au pub. Nuit très calme. Au matin nous avons pu faire le plein d’eau gratuitement au niveau du robinet du canal si vous avez un long tuyau.

Great Britstop. Phoned ahead and they reserved us a spot right by the canal. Was great in October, would be awesome in Summer. Very friendly owners couldn't do enough for us. Definitely 5 stars. .
