parking charged 4 euros per 24 hours, but the welcome sign prohibits caravan parking and camping, including fires. We drove to the parkplatz down to Kapellen.

Guter Stellplatz als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen auf die Rax. Fairer Preis. Kleines Restaurant nebenan. Ich bin mir aber nicht sicher, ob man hier übernachten darf. An der Übersichtstafel des Parkplatzes steht u.a. ein durchgestrichenes Wohnmobil. Es wird offenbar geduldet, da neben mir noch andere über Nacht standen und es hier auch keinen Kommentar gibt, dass es mal Probleme gegeben hätte.
aurigui19/08/2023Nuit au calme, parking plat et toilette. Pas de poubelles. Sinon rien d’exceptionnel mais reste très pratique. Le matin de très nombreux randonneurs sont venus se garer.

as said before , great for hiking, pretty quiet at night, the upper lot is less flat and more difficult to access, beautiful area

Exactly as written in previous reviews - quiet and safe. Ideal for setting off on a hike early in the morning. The trails start right at the parking place. You can make a voluntary donation for maintenance into a small cash box. They certainly deserve it. By the way - the place is located right on the border between Lower Austria and Styria!

Quiet spot to sleep. We slept in the upper lot and were completely alone on a Saturday night. There were a handful of cars parked below. Beautiful stars at night!

Very quiet at night. Good starting point for klettersteig and hiking. Public toilets (ToiToi) are free.
Blackonians22/04/2022We parked here with a motorhome overnight and then did a hike the next morning. As it was April it was not so busy at night but in the morning other hikers started to arrive.

Parking gratuit. Nous avons passé une nuit ici pour pouvoir partir en randonnée tôt le matin, aucun soucis. Un peu difficile de trouver du plat mais c'est possible, il y a 3 parkings. Point de départ de nombreuses randonnées dans le parc naturel. On recommande !

Neben dem Wasserhäuschen bei P1 ist der beste Parkplatz. Das Häuschen schützt vor Straßenlärm, und man wird früh Morgens nicht von den Wanderern geweckt, die hier zahlreich mit ihren Autos erscheinen.

Ein Wanderparkplatz ,tagsüber gut besucht,wir hatten eine ruhige Nacht,auf dem oberen Parkplatz ist man auch weit genug von der Straße weg
