Absolutely beautiful park up for a night. Fantastic views and an accessible bin. The track up is uneven, but not too bad if you are slow and careful. Motorhomes will struggle.

  • 5/5

Wouldn’t take anything bigger than a transporter up here. The last bit of road has low trees and big pot holes but was fine navigated carefully. Beautiful view point out over Cromarty Firth and a muddy but lovely walk to McFarquhars bed before breakfast.

  • 3/5

wouldn't recommend for large vehicles, last half mile climb is a single track road full of potholes with overhanging tree branches, the few passing places seen were unusable due to debris & surface damage, fortunately we were in 4x4 & didn't meet anyone coming in opposite direction or one of us would have had a long reverse, on the plus side - lovely, peaceful, partially level overnight stopover

  • 5/5

Fantastic spot with an amazing drive to get to it. Room for about 6 vehicles and pretty flat. Had no issues, a few walkers went past and chatted to us. Amazing view of the sea. The bin is handy too!

  • 5/5

brilliant spot, no problem getting here in a LWB mercedes and our friends joined us in a motorhome. a bit bumpy at the end. lovely large level spaces. a good walk back into Cromarty and then to Macfarquar's bed. would recommend the Fishertown Inn in Cromarty.

  • 5/5

Beautiful spot, very quiet. Amazing views. The unsealed road with a few potholes in places means it might not be suitable for larger vans. We were fine in a transit.

  • 3/5

The view is obviously lovely and it’s a very quiet spot, not many people coming and going. But the road up is narrow and pothole-y, wouldn’t recommend in anything too large. The local village Cromarty is really sweet though, worth a visit!

  • 4/5

Potholes aren’t too bad on the way in, mostly avoidable. Nice quiet spot with a lovely walk through the woods and down towards the shore, lovely first stop on our way north.

  • 4/5

Awesome views. As others have said, the potholes on the approach are bad. We were in a 6.4m van and wouldn’t recommend anything larger. There is a bin but please take your rubbish away. You carried it up there so should be able to carry it down.

  • 4/5

Great little spot with a great view. The road up did have a few potholes but nothing serious. Very quiet and great phone signal.

  • 4/5

  • 4/5

This spot is beautiful, the views are amazing and there are lovely walks around it. The road leading up to it is quite bad, with lots of deep pot holes, but if you take it slowly then it’s manageable, we were in a 5 meter van. The spot is a little bit sloped, but not too bad. Would stay here again.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Gorgeous place. The road to get to it isn’t great as others have said but slow and steady and it’s fine. Stayed up here for 2 nights. Beautiful views, especially along any of the trails up there. 1.5 mile walk down into Cromarty with fantastic views all the way. Lovely and peaceful. Good 4G phone signal.

  • 2/5

Road to spot is really bad. Manageable but not worthy must say. Can find nicer views on a route. Specially that bushes were mostly covered those views. Didn’t stay there for a night.

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

The road leading to the stop over isn't brilliant but managable if you take your time. Ground level. Amazing views. Walk to Cromarty 1 1/2 miles through the woods. No facilities, only a bin. The Highlander Ranger operates in this area and did turn up in the morning. We were in a camper no issues but check what the regs are re roof tents.

  • 2/5

amazing view pot holes I had committed to stay the night so great spot but the road is narrow and very damaged but ok for a night

  • 5/5

Spent one night here in our van. It’s an amazing stop and the views are breathtaking with lovely walks down to the shoreline. We woke up to seeing dolphins out in the water, apparently there is a pod that is often seen in this area. There is the odd pothole on the road up to the car park but our van was fine.

  • 4/5

Access road is REALLY poor in places! I would say 6m van is about the limit, certainly wouldn't attempt it in a motorhome due to overhanging tree's. once up it's a fairly large and flatish carpark with plenty of space for 3 or 4 van's. No facilities other than a bin

  • 5/5

Quiet spot at the end of a bumpy road. Would not recommend if you have a big motorhome but a small campervan was perfect. Really nice view of the cliffs across. Only one other campervan with us for the night and plenty of space to each have our privacy. Walk to macfarquhar's bed just at the end of the car park. Would definitely come again. Please pick up your rubish !

  • 4/5

Ruhige Ecke.

  • 5/5

Beautiful place for small vans. Unfortunately lots of excrement and loo roll left from last users.

  • 5/5

Mega Platz! Ruhig, trotz 2 weiterer Camper. Mülleimer vorhanden.

  • 5/5

Quiet night. The street can be a challenge. No services except 4G :). Please keep the place clean.

  • 5/5

  • 4/5

Secluded, perfect for the dog, 5 star for scenery and had a bin, only losing 1 star due to the pot holes on the road up to it, thought we may have damaged the van but luckily didn’t

  • 4/5

Nice quiet spot with great views, the narrow road up to it has a lot of potholes large motorhomes would struggle, we had a great night here on the way round the nc500 then came back for another night on the way home .

  • 5/5

Great wee spot to stay for a night or 2. stayed here a couple of times and was not disturbed. very clean fairly level. Great view and a nice walk nearby.

  • 5/5

Great spot. road in is fine for smaller vans. very quiet, cracking views. one other van parked up.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot. 2 other campers stayed the night, both were friendly. Road in is poor, but is passable. As someone mentioned, there were a few flies swarming the van as we arrived but they seemed to dissapear after about 10 mins. Nice little walk on the path to the village cromarty (can reccomend the food from Sutor Creek Café). Some noise from the oil rigs until about 9pm, and from about 9am.

  • 3/5

Arrived in summer. Couldn't see much of the view due to the high bushes. Bin was full and there was thousands of flies that swarmed the van (I assume this was from the bin but maybe not). Didnt stay long.

  • 4/5

I've visited this spot twice. The first time it was me and one other camper who barely made a peep. Superb coastal walks right out the door, and Cromarty down the road is lovely. The second time I had not so great neighbours. Two campers arriving together. Dogs off the lead, acting like the owned the place. Loud until late. So, hit and miss! But worth a gander if you can brave the road.

  • 5/5

Beautiful. No amenities but a short distance from the village which has plenty. The village doesn’t do mornings however!

  • 5/5

Stunning, we were the only ones there, very peaceful and lovely views with coastal walks on the door step. Wouldn't recommend for motorhomes as access might be a bit tight (fine in a van) .

  • 5/5

What a lovely place to stay for the night, quiet and relaxing. Also seen some dolphins which was a lovely surprise

  • 5/5

Great place for quite a night. But bit the road is up the hill and for small motrorhomes and vans.

  • 4/5

Really good location. Space for 5/6 vans. Road up to it is bumpy, single track with no passing places. Vehicles wider than 2m will really struggle if they meet something coming the other way. Brilliant views, next to no traffic. Some dog walkers in morning. Interesting views of oil platforms in firth. O2 4G coverage. Some all night low volume bassy noise from Oil Platforms but not a big deal.

  • 5/5

Drove here in a low roof van, can imagine track is tricky with a bigger vehicle. Very quiet with a bin, lots of space and a nice walk to a beach with caves and natural arches. There were a few walkers in the morning but noone else at night. Locals were friendly :)

  • 5/5

Only van here on a Thursday evening - nice quiet spot with stunning views to wake up to. Definitely take care with the potholes on the way - they were a bit of a nightmare and we drove in at night. There's also a garbage bin on site, a few walkers passing by the next morning.

  • 5/5

Follow road through Cromarty, very quiet spot, lots of space, with great views. Not suitable for larger campers as road is narrow and trees low over road. 1.5 mile walk into town from site down steps through the tree’s, nice cafe in town called Church street café.

  • 5/5

Quality place to park up for the night grand view's over the Cromarty and beyond

  • 3/5

Approach road is now very potholed, so be aware. Nice spot, large area, good surface and flat but very very isolated if you are the only van there

  • 5/5

Perfect little spot. Road is okay driving up, a couple of pot holes to beware of. Very narrow road so always be cautious of oncoming vehicles. 3G service. Mostly flat.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

A tricky drive up - watch out for the potholes! But wow! what a view! Lots of places, with one SMALL rubbish bin (but lots more bins in Cromarty- so take your rubbish away with you). Next to a hiking trail.

  • 5/5

Sehr schöne Aussicht. Hatten Glück und konnten Delfine sehen. Zufahrt nur für kleinere Wohnmobile geeignet. Steil, eng, viele Schlaglöcher. Haben eine sehr ruhige Nacht verbracht.

  • 5/5

Great spot with great views. Narrow road but enough for a Sprinter Van. 3G signal.

  • 3/5

  • 5/5

Lovely area, very quiet and great view. Can recommend getting here a bit early and walking into Cromarty along the coastal path to the pub in the village.

  • 4/5

Endroit très calme et sympa. Magnifique vue. On était en t4. Très belle soirée

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Fantastic location, views amazing even saw dolphin in the distance. Very quiet at end of narrow Lane.

  • 4/5
