Avoid this spot now as it's been ruined by people who empty thier toilets on the floor or in the ditch and leaving rubbish everywhere as well as bbqs so the locals are now vandalising any Campers that are parked down Mill Road you have been warned plus the council will be putting no over night parking signs up

Kostenlose Parkplätze entlang der Straße. Direkt unterhalb des Schlosses. Schöner Spielplatz direkt an der Straße. Einzig negativer Punkt: die öffentlichen Toiletten waren leider sehr dreckig.

Peaceful spot right next to Arundel Castle and town, lovely meadow view and toilets in the carpark (which didn't require 20p). Felt safe. The town itself is wonderful with so many local shops and businesses we will definitely use this spot again. There is also a free water fountain close by.

    Nice meadow. Castle in sight.

only stayed during the day. we were here for around 4 hours so nice to have it free and close to such a lovely town

Friendly locals walking dogs had no issues. Beautiful spot and ideal for exploring Arundel.

All the campers/motorhomes got notices not to park overnight anymore because of new restrictions

now loads of fulltimers here, many work in local area. Best to get here before 9am as many workers park here during the day for the town in their cars

Very nice park up, but it does get really busy.

First time off grid parking here did not disappoint. Free parking at the side of quiet road below castle grounds. Lots of spce. Toilets/wash basin open at 8am opposite castle in car park. Close to cafes/restaurants.

We had Castle &Grounds tickets for the next day which also gets you into the museum for half price. Stayed the next night as well and did a lovely walk up over the downs from the lake. It looks like you could park in the wetlands centre during the day if the road is full but locked at night and it does say it is for patrons only. It was half empty when we visited a week before and they have no way of checking.

Very nice road to park along. Seems quite busy until 11ish but it didn’t bother us too much. Nice little village with lots of restaurants/pubs/antique shops. I mainly wanted to add the review to inform everyone of the new toilet opening times. They’re no longer 20p and 24hrs, they’re now free but are only open 0800-2000 in the summer and 0800-1700 in the winter.

i stayed a few times on my back and forth along the south coast. if the weather is nice i suggest you come later as the world and his wife and kids park up to walk to the lakes. good Indian and Chinese nearby as well as small supermarkets.

Lovely stay for night, or more of you fancy...and you will. A long tree covered road with room for many campers of any size, just keep going past the castle and pay & display until you find ya spot. Arrived around 7pm and plenty of space, busy in the morning with people visiting the village and castle. Plenty of bins, phone reception (Voda) and friendly locals. Please leave as you find.

Long road and plenty of parking. Right beside a nice picnic park and just under the castle. Short walk to a beautiful town centre. Some traffic in the early evening but not enough to worry about. Should get some nice photos later as the sun sets behind the castle.

Great spot. Parked for free for 2 days towards the back end of the road where other permanent van life guys stay. Great location for town and castle. Toilets available for free opposite castle entrance.

Arrived around 10.30 am and was very lucky to get a space. around 14 motorhomes here on this road. car park usually allows motorhomes but they are currently doing work on the flood defences so not open to large vehicles. beautiful spot, great walks around town and along river. pubs and cafes etc in town. plenty to do here castle, pitch and putt etc.

Nice safe spot to overnight in the company of other motorhomes
