Unfortunately people (mainly locals) have abused Dartmoor by leaving their rubbish and having fires. many yrs ago certain places were allowed for camping but because of people going up there having BBQ, McDonald's, KFC etc and leaving their rubbish have spoilt it for others

Now signs saying no overnight sleeping! Such a great place and no reason for denying overnight so annoying. Obviously don’t want tourists in Devon.

Loads of open spaces and walking space. Quiet at night and a few campers around. Signal and dog walkers. Lovely for a few nights.
