Beautiful views of a field and the beach. Some walkers and cyclists. There were about 5 vans/campers on the main road and about 12 on the tide road. We swam in the sea in the afternoon. I went to the lighthouse for an amazing fish dinner (5 minute walk along the waterfront). Beautiful area - leave no trace and be considerate.

Hermosa zona: no dejes rastro y sé considerado.

Well it was lovely staying here, perfection. Sadly the council is stopping over night sleeping. Again the bad few, spoil the experience for others by using the field as a toilet, Bloody disgusting.

  • 5/5

2/3/24, signs are up from the council, paid parking is being brought in (council meeting mid March), plus request for no motorhomes from 8pm to 8am.... such a shame as this is a beautiful stop over.

  • 5/5

Love spot! Busy as we arrived at 10pm in February 2024. Quiet and near the beach. Lots of dog walkers in the morning but all friendly. We saw a group of swan in the morning. Park up hill as the lower road flooded early morning

  • 5/5

Parking restrictions and payment between 8am & 6pm, and no overnighting being introduced very soon. posts already up. Not surprised TBH, saw human poo and loo paper on the bank after a group of 3 vans left. another lovely lost site due to the ignorant few, again. there is a good public loo about 20mins walk by the sailing club. So no excuse!

  • 5/5

Stayed in January. There were like 6 campers and a couple of cars. The majority were fishermen. we stayed on the track away from water, then drove to water early in the morning. lots of joggers and dogwalkers. it was very windy when we stayed and the van was exposed to this. Nice walks along to the beach close by. Can imagine this place is unworkable in the summer! roads will be tight when busy!

  • 5/5

Parked on the higher road overnight (parking both sides of the road, but exposed to wind) then moved to the lower road in the morning, great views and nice for dog walking. Other campers here and fisherman but didn’t disturb us. You can walk down the beach or to the cafe but at this side there are no bins, water or toilets so come prepared! Would definately return in summer. Check tide times!

  • 5/5

Stunning location. Lots of vans of different sizes here. Be warned. Expect to have to REVERSE up the road to get out if it's busy, you're not turning even a car around at the end! Oh and don't park right at the very end. It floods!

  • 5/5

Make sure you don’t park on the double Yellow lines by the water as you will get a parking charge. Great spot but can be busy all day and night. Most motor homes are here 2/3 days at a time

  • 5/5

Great views, and a popular but peaceful spot. no restrictions and even midweek in October there were quite a few vans here. Check tide times and levels if you are staying in the lower road section.

  • 5/5

What a wonderful spot. Amazing views nice and quiet we stayed on the tidal road but checked the tide times

  • 5/5

Stayed here for a few days for some peace. Very nice, little bit noisy at times but the views are lovely and very calm. Lots of vans come and go, no one disturbs you.

  • 4/5

the no overnight parking signs have been taken down and we stayed overnight no problem.it was very busy with lots of people , bikes , cars ,vans , cyclists and locals using the road as a cut through. overall iits ts a great spot but I fear that the council will try to enforce the no parking rules as some vans appear to be staying there many nights

  • 5/5

you can stay overnight no problem for now. so peaceful & beautiful.

  • 5/5

As of the beginning of September . New parking restrictions come in with no overnight parking being the main one .

  • 5/5

Lovely place … have stayed loads of times but sadly new metal posts have been put up so don’t be surprised if no overnight parking signs appear soon

  • 4/5

Stayed here peak summer season along with about 25 other vans. Roadside but very quiet overnight. Two roads: Saltgrass Lane (wider, better for larger vans / MHs, floods only on high spring tides) & New Lane (narrower, doesn’t flood). On coast and exposed to wind and rain. Busy during day so time arrival as day-trippers leave and spaces become available.

  • 5/5

Beautiful spot with views over fields and sea. Peaceful at night. Easy level 1 mile (ish) walk to various pubs and restaurants too.

  • 4/5

amazing views and peaceful in the night, but very busy day time and into the evening. lovely walk to hurst castle.

  • 5/5

Excellent stopover, really quiet at night and good signal with EE. Approach road is narrow so be aware but is passable, standard Motorhomes can park here in the wider parts of the road

  • 4/5

What a gem!! One night stay, lovely views and very quiet. About 10 other campers on the road too.

  • 5/5

Amazing spot. Spent one night here, cooked and then went and watched the sunset. There was about 15 campers parked up for the night. Don't be afraid about the tide coming in, it only covers your tyres a few mm. Will definitely stay again.

  • 5/5

we stated here on route to Dorset. loads of parking and a fantastic overnight stay with fabulous views across towards the IOW. we parked on the upper road due to not knowing the full info on high tides. width restriction on the far end of the road so beware if u need to turn round. loads of bins and some great walks definatly coming back quite and friendly recommend stop over

  • 5/5

A popular parkup, must have been twenty van's last night and some cars belonging to night fisherman. We herd the fisherman talking in the night when they returned to their car's, apart from that it was a quiet night. Hurst castle is worth a visit.

  • 5/5

Parked here after getting off the ferry at southampton great spot lots of Van's along all of the road but still plenty of room best night sleep,BE WARNED AT HIGH TIDE IT DOES COME ON THE ROAD SOMETIMES

  • 5/5

Second time here, absolute beauty of a stop, we were on the high tide road and we had the sea come up to tyres, that was great, dog could have a run around just outside van, lovely dog friendly place, nice walk along beach, pub just down the road, can get very busy x

  • 5/5

Great spot, stayed here the night 9/6/23 loads of campers, quiet night and great sunset

  • 5/5

Magnifique spot !

  • 5/5

Excellent park up, free day and night, lots of room on high and low road, stayed 3 nights. Walking to castle and lighthouse or back to town, beach on the door step, bins and even a bbq hot ash bin. Good 4G on EE

  • 5/5

Fantastic views to Hurst Castle and the spit. A favourite place for kite surfers with consistent winds and calm waters

  • 4/5

Great spot for the 3 mile return walk to Hurst Castle , I checked the tide times first before leaving the camper , if I was staying the night it would be on the slightly higher part of the road where there are lay-bys on both sides .

  • 4/5

ok place , though road very narrow and was disconcerting as vehicles passing within inches of you , sometimes too fast. stayed in September and quite a few other vans around. good walk to Hurst Castle ( toilets there ), other way along beach are cafes etc.

  • 5/5

This really is a beautiful spot right by the stony beach we’re here in October and it’s lovely the waters not too cold. Please do be aware the water on the tidal road can get high especially in spring. We have been down here before and it’s been lapping at the step of the sliding door and we have a lwb crafter. If your in a smaller van just be careful

  • 5/5

Lovely park up. Lots of vans around. Bins dotted around. Walks along the seafront and not too far from Hurst Castle.

  • 5/5

Great stay although very busy! Lots of campers. Can walk down to the Lighthouse for a nice dinner, public toilets the other way at the yacht club. Lovely walk to Hurst castle also

  • 4/5

Great spot, overlooking the water. Seen a few vans parked up, but not stayed myself.

  • 5/5

Extremely peaceful nights sleep. The tidal road is the best place for views, though the high tide tends to wash over the road a little. Friendly campers and walkers, will get busy at weekends. The locals tolerate campers but apparently Hampshire Council are likely to add restrictions at some point. Leave no trace to keep these spots from being removed.

  • 5/5

It is a nice place to spend the night. Lots of autocaravans. I was there with my little van. It was busy in the morning though, a lot of dog walkers. It is walking distance to the village and there is a cafe nearby.

  • 5/5

Superb place, busy but pretty peaceful. Lots of walks We will certainly be back.

  • 5/5

Brilliant park up, one of our favourites. But have got to keep it tidy and not annoy locals otherwise it will be another one taken away from us

  • 5/5

Perfect place to stay! Really close to Milford on sea and right next hurst beach. Really quiet and locals are really friendly. Will defo be going back.

  • 1/5

I've been parking here often and it has gotten progressively worse. Locals hate campervans here and I got my van scratched a few times. Campervans behave very poorly here. They often leave human remains on the side, they run generators and engine at all times of the day and night and occasionally there are people who play very loud music and build fires on the roadside. Can't blame the locals!

  • 5/5

Perfect spot. Tyres would get a bit wet on the bottom road on high tides so better off parking on the road leading down from Milton!! Stayed a couple of nights, biked into Lymington, great market and nice town. Milford was lovely also with nice shop and pubs. Swim in the sea and walk to Hurst Castle. Leave no trace

  • 5/5

Absolutely quality park up. Loads of vans nearby which is great. lovely beach for a fresh dip in the morning or evening. Very peaceful sleep.

  • 5/5

Sonnenuntergang hinterm Meer.

  • 5/5

Great spot to stay! Lovely view to wake up to. Can get a bit busy at the weekend

  • 5/5

spend the night here parked at the side of the road next to a field all good a number of campers using it.

  • 5/5

very nice tidy place to park, local people are very welcoming and lovely place to watch the sunset.

  • 5/5

Great night and quiet midweek in January, tho very windy. Lovely walks and good local shops in Milford. We drove down New Lane without difficulty and parked on the left where there's plenty of room. The "Beach Road" is once you've rounded the bend onto Saltgrass Lane - checked out tide times for Hurst Point online and decided not to risk it.

  • 5/5

A spot to remember always, lovely. A must is lymington Saturday market

  • 4/5

Stayed here for the night was very peaceful. Went to The Gun Inn for supper. The food was more than excellent and the staff welcoming highly recommend if stay in this spot.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot little bit close to the side of the road and it was busy with other vans but the road was quiet

  • 5/5

Lovely spot, but don't park on the shoreline unless you want to wake up in the water! We had a bit of a fright at 6am hearing the waves against the van. Great views, lovely beach, would stay again but on the road leading down to the beach, instead of right on it!

  • 5/5

Spent the night here and had a lovely time. Theres space for lots of vehicles and we felt safe here. Would recommend!

  • 5/5

A lovely free stop arrived at night a few other vans there no noise and a good night's sleep got out of van in morning to some beautiful views, will definitely be back..

  • 5/5

Confirmed, stunning place to stay. Super chill, quiet and out of the way. Busy during day but silent at night and stones throw from lively beach with great views. Tide comes right over the road so be careful in the morning!

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Arrive early in the morning or late evening as it can be quite busy. Quiet road in the evening. Nice walk along the beach to the bar. The beach is a stone Beach. Free to park. Nice and clean. Return often.

  • 4/5

Narrow road in and narrow parking on the higher road, could barely open sidedoor. Lower road a bit wider but subject to flooding at high tide. Free and quiet overnight, what better?

  • 5/5

Stunning!!! will definitely be back! please keep it clean

  • 5/5

Great place to stay super close to the beach and really quiet at night

  • 5/5

Really nice spot by the beach. Busy when we got there. But cleared in the evening. Would definitely stay again.

  • 5/5

Nice spot. Really close to the beach, and Walking distance from the beach bar. Parked near the bridge on the corner and had a really peaceful night. Also a good place to park up and watch the sunset!

  • 5/5

Fabulous spot, we parked on the lower road and the tide came just to the edge of the road on a tide of 2.9m, so no problems, it was calm and no winds though. Apparently the general rule of thumb is its ok if the ice cream van has been there , if not its best to park on high end of the road.Lighthouse restaurant is 5 min walk Hurst castle 30 min walk, village 30 min good pubs and a nice green

  • 5/5

Great free parking spot! Lovely bit of water for Paddleboarding. 100% recommend an overnight stay here.

  • 5/5

What a spot. Plenty of room on the level, gravel covered roadside although possibly a little tight for the largest of vans, depends on you does that one. Very peaceful, road quite as, locals are lovely, plenty of dog walkers, swimmers and paddle boarders. I cycled the coast to Christchurch, mix of hard pack, gravel, tarmac and beach cobbles. There are road options to cycle too. A must stay spot.

  • 5/5

We stayed here over night, one of the best nights we have had. Great meal at the lighthouse, lovely walk home and very peaceful nights sleep.

  • 5/5

Stayed two nights, quiet no issues, toilets just a short drive in the village, with water point. Also a barbeque disposal bin right by the bridge. Perfect walk to hurst castle.

  • 5/5

Love this little spot! Right by the beach, stunning sunset. Had a car leaving at early hours so I’d park a bit further round away from the bridge next time, but for a first go using this app I thought this little spot was brilliant!

  • 5/5

Stayed here for a Saturday night. Was very busy with campers even this early in the year in the rain and wind, almost struggled to find a parking space. That said I had a very quiet and peaceful nights sleep. Will definitely stay here again

  • 5/5

Brilliant spot. Arrived around 9pm on a drizzly Friday night, lots of spaces and right on the beach. Quiet and peaceful sleep.

  • 4/5

Great nights sleep here. busy with camper vans and motor homes but peaceful. right on the beach, lovely walks and views. no toilets but bins and bbq disposal. spent the evening skimming rocks watching the sun set in the rain followed by a beautiful rainbow. perfect evening

  • 5/5

Parked up on New Lane last night right by the little wooden bridge. Lots of campers stayed too, but plenty of room for everyone and felt safe. Very quiet at night time. 2m width restriction to drive up the lane.

  • 4/5

Great spot by the beach. Took a BBQ down and had the beach to ourselves. Lots of other campervans there though for the bank holiday weekend.

  • 5/5

Very busy spot. Must have been 15-20 vans here last night. Very quiet during hours of darkness. Very quiet night’s sleep. You can either park on the gravel on New Lane or round the corner - although those spots looked a little off camber and that road might get flooded if there are exceptional tides.

  • 5/5

A popular spot, no restrictions or cost, nearest public toilet a good 15-minute walk. Very peaceful, lovely spot to stay.

  • 4/5

Lovely place so many motor homes and campervans. looks like the m25 lol.still good though.

  • 5/5

20 plus vans on a Friday night. Still very peaceful. Early morning walkers but not a problem.

  • 5/5

    Beautiful. And very quiet.

  • 1/5

Way overcrowded with campervans, it's stuffy. There is so much traffic on this road throughout the day, not pleasant to be here. The nearby free parking in Keyhaven was turned into pay and display due to the large number of campervans and this place is next. Avoid.

  • 5/5

Came back for another night since we are now living full time in our van. Parked on the flood road and barely escaped had water halfway up our wheels.

  • 5/5

One of the best places we have stayed. Great views, walks, loads of space. Busy Saturday night but still space at 8pm. Toilets in Keyhaven are very good.

  • 4/5

Very popular location, can even park on the shoreline (be aware of spring tides as road floods). Great ice cream van on warmer summer days. Can be busy and crowded at weekend. For larger motorhomes be aware of 2m width restrictions. This may not be free for much longer!

  • 5/5

We had a very peaceful night here, stayed on the upper road as we were told the lower road can get flooded with the tide. Had a lovely meal in the Lighthouse, less than a 10 minute walk away, and woke up to a stunning sun rise.

  • 5/5

Nice peaceful night, had a few camping neighbour's parked on the upper road because the lower load is prone to tidal floods. nice walks along the beach Into Milford.

  • 5/5

Fantastic location, Ended up staying for several days, lovely walks along the coast and quiet deafly will be coming back great for kayakers swimmers or just a nice quiet location

  • 4/5

This would have made a great stop over, but make sure you stop on the upper road as the lower road floods with the tide. plenty of camper neighbours. beautiful view, no facilities, but there are public toilets up the road

  • 5/5

Really nice spot with great views. I stayed last night (Saturday night) and it was very busy with campers and cars. Probably about 20 overnight vehicles with people milling around, very enjoyable.

  • 5/5

Stayed here one night, very quiet with a stunning view of the Keyhaven Lake. Toilets and pub 10 minute walk into Keyhaven. A local mention to me that some people don’t take their rubbish with them, please do so not to spoil it for others.

  • 5/5

Ended up spending two nights due to forestry commission closing all their sites., very quiet if not cramped. Spot is situated on a road with parking on one side. Local pub the Gun Inn a 10 min walk away in Keyhaven. More shops in Millford which is around a 20 min walk. No need to leave any rubbish as there are at least 3 bins which are emptied daily at 8am. Access says restricted to 6’6” but our 8’+ camper had no issues. Road is next to tidal creek, max depth was 2.8m when we stayed which didn’t flood the road. Check tide times and depths to be sure. Check Tidetime for details

  • 5/5

Highly recommend! We had such a peaceful night here despite the wind. Don’t be put off by the tide coming in, ourselves in our t5 and several other motor homes braved the seafront road through high tide and it was fine! We ourselves couldn’t find any toilets close by but used the lighthouse bar and restaurant whilst having delicious food and drinks

  • 5/5

Stayed here for one night perfect for the dog - lovely views super quiet other campers didn’t disturb us highly recommend

  • 5/5

Great spot highly recommend, we parked around the other said of the sailing club rather that in this area but both were great locations. Toilet located next to sailing club and lovely walk out to castle and light house.

  • 5/5

We stopped here for two nights it’s a beautiful spot. As others have said it can get busy especially during the day so if you plan to stay my advice is get there in the late evening. Some people don’t park very considerately taking up more than one space and a few campers not cleaning up after themselves this may not be a spot we can enjoy for long. The beach is great for a walk up to the castle and you can walk the other direction along the reserve to a sailing club and the water is beautiful at night. Be careful of the lower road it can be prone to flood however you should be fine. All in all a great spot.

  • 5/5

Our first wild camp in our new van. This spot set the wild camping bar at a very high level! What a spot! Quiet and beautiful!

  • 2/5

Park4night effect in full force. Used to be a nice spot. I counted 38 campers last night. People with tables in the road, acting as it’s their own campsite. Spot is nice, but expect “no overnight parking” restrictions shortly.

  • 5/5

Great little spot and plenty of other campers there too. Double check flood alerts in the area - road does submerge at high tide but still passable - don’t worry about it! Lovely view to wake up to but does fill up with visitors during the day.

  • 5/5

    Nice scenic views

  • 5/5

Pretty good spot, quiet and loads of space. Other van dwellers parked here as well as local fishermen when we arrived . Lovely views in the morning, 3 bars of signal and 4G(three UK), levelled surface.

  • 5/5

Nice place to stay for a good beach walk. I visit here a few times a year and sometimes stay overnight which is nice and quite and catches the sun all day. easy walk into town for coffee and dinner.

  • 4/5

Stayed here for 1 night, no issues, few other campers there, dog walkers and joggers about, lovely spot will definitely visit again.

  • 5/5

Great place to park up for the night. Always others around. Can get a bit too busy at times. It's a very popular place for car parking so don't take the mick and treat it like a campsite. It's one of the only places to park up in the area, I worry that might change if overnighters dominate the place, it looked like a Motorhome site when I was last here

  • 5/5

Stayed here for two nights. There were at least 12 other vans/motor homes both on the higher and lower roads. We were parked on the Lower Road and it does flood at high tide but it was not a problem for us. High spring tides could be an issue. Higher road is ok but less room on the side of road. Waste bins available. No drinking water. Larger vans should access via New Lane not from Keyhaven.

  • 5/5

Good view across salt marshes to Isle of white. Road has slight camber so levelling blocks useful.

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Great spot. Plenty of room to park in the evening busy by day. Quiet, restful night's sleep. Refuse point. Within walking distance of local amenities.

  • 5/5

Great location. Arrived bank holiday Mon busy- got a parking space. Only 3 stayed overnight. Walked into Milford- pubs and restaurants and supermarket. Lovely views. Nice walks. Quiet great spot. We parked on the lower road tide went out overnight.

  • 5/5

Stayed here on easter saturday. No spaces during the day but came back early evening and parked on the lower road. Worth checking the tides to make sure they are not too high. Beautiful views and sea just over the bank. Good for canoeing when tide is in. Village centre about 1/4 mile away with pub and all the shops you need.

  • 4/5

Quiet night, loads of spaces, keep dogs on lead as road is close by.

  • 5/5

Peaceful and tranquil, great walks with shops and pubs within 20min walk. I imagine it gets very busy in warmer months though

  • 5/5

Lovely place to park on side of flat road with great views. quiet at night. nice walk allong the spit and fab views of Isle of White and the Needles. toilets 15 mins walk by the marina.

  • 4/5

Molt vent.

  • 4/5

    Very nice place!

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

    Really gorgeous here

  • 5/5

Plenty of space for an overnight stay but can get busy during the day, some narrow roads to navigate but gorgeous views all round.

  • 5/5

Really enjoyed this park up, close to the beach with lovely walks. Only problem is when it's windy you get battered by it.

  • 5/5

Lots of spaces for overnight parking on the side of a road. The lower road is prone to flooding so we stayed on the higher one which hasn’t got as nice views. Sheltered from the wind thanks to the spit and nice coastal walks in both directions.

  • 5/5
