I stopped here to visit Carrefour yesterday, there is permanent security patrols with dogs due to the high number of migrants milling around, usually in pairs. As I drove off toward Lidl direction a gang of 20-30 were at the multi storey side, 2 walked out into the road focusing on me, I changed down and accelerated, they stopped in the middle of the road laughing in an intimidating way........not pleasant. Avoid.

Parked to visit Cite Europe Carrefour at 2.30pm. Busy car park with lots of cars and several vans but no other Motorhomes. Returned at 4.30pm and found every plastic window on my camper damaged from attempted break in. Fortunately they didn't succeed but made a mess of my van. Beware If you park here. Do not leave your van unattended!

No longer able to stay overnight. Parking area shuts at 10pm and security clears vehicles out. Shame.

CAUTION: unsafe to stay here now. Witnessed large numbers of refugees monitoring and targeting vans/campers. Luckily we were still inside when they attempted a break in, chased them off, from another camper as well. They returned 20mins later to try again. Quite a thing to see, don’t leave your van even during the day!

Ref my comment below. The time was approximately 1430hrs .my wife went.shopping I stayed in my van so was able to see the break in and help.my advice for shopping.do not leave your Motorhome unattended. Had a phone call from friends with a caravan who went shopping city Europe this was 18 feb 2020. The day before. on returning.found 2 immigrants in there wardrobe.

This is a no go for us. Large numbers of immigrants trying to break into campers.witnessed 3 immigrants breaking into campers one got in.told the owners when they turned and got him out. When we started up to leave one tried to grab my ladders.stopped chased him

Have used this so many times, but, sadly, it is now daytime only, for security reasons (I do understand, but so sad!). Still a good place to park for shopping, though.

Attempted break in by two men whilst we were in the van. We have stayed here before with no problems but not anymore.

Stayed one night before getting an early Eurotunnel train. Someone did try to open our back and side door which were both locked, then when we opened the door he scampered off and security came. Didn't have any more issues and slept well.

Easy accessible place to park for the night while waiting for the morning train. I’d say it’s pretty safe but I woke up at 3am by people hanging about between all the motorhomes with someone trying to climb on the back of my van. He went off immediately when I opened the door and went out (opportunist thieving or migrants). Just be aware. Park in the middle of the car park not up about the tree and bushy area, then you can easily spot people.

Last week our friends had a refugee trying to get under there bike cover at back of van. We don't have bikes on back so came here last night and had peaceful night with police patrolling and many vans. I think it is a mistake to cover bikes near Calais. We always feel safe here and use the services round the other side of cite Europe by service station before going on.

This place is dangerous. You have a perfectly respectable parking area but you will 100% find yourself having to make room in the van for the booze you’ve just bought at carrefour! It’s so dangerous that you may end up visiting the hyper market numerous times! In all seriousness though, with everything you hear about not staying in Calais in case you you end up with extra people clinging to your van, this place feels safe. It’s quiet and whilst it has no services to speak of, the hyper market has toilets and restaurants (and booze!) to help you through until you catch the Eurotunnel or start your adventure on the continent.

Stay night after tunnel & night before return. Can’t fault it, safe & quiet. Lots of cars here today, must be sleeping in them? Bit of shopping in Carrefour & meal in shopping centre perfectly acceptable. In our opinion better to stay here after crossing & set off on your journey the next morning rather than Folkstone side.

We stopped here for the night, right after arriving from a late eurotunnel train. There were many people staying there for the night so it felt safe, but at the same time it was very quiet, would stay again!

Stopped here for night after arriving on late ferry. Lots of other motorhomes in quiet and undisturbed location. Left motorhome parked in safety when we stocked up in Carrefour in the morning (free clean toilets inside) before moving on. Will likely return to stock up again and rest here before journey home. Thank you Cite Europe for the facilities.

Très bien pour une nuit en revenant du Royaume-Uni, centre commercial juste à côté. Calme, mais du monde tôt le matin. Attention pour les fourgons : la nuitée n'est autorisée que sur ce parking (gratuit), les autres parkings du centre commercial ne sont pas autorisés la nuit.

Perfect stopover BUT be warned it can be noisy! We were here on a Friday night for an early departure BUT got no sleep due to cars in the multi story car park doing hand brake turns and noisy motorbikes using the road along side the parking area as a racetrack! All this went on until 01:30 in the morning!!! Now guess what no police around to stop them!!!!

Very noisy. But conveniently close to the train to almost make up for that. Wearing earplugs may help. I did not find any stowaway in the morning, nor did French or UK border control.

Ideal stopover to and from holiday - we have stayed here many times. Very dull, but just by the Cité Europe shopping centre, and a couple of minutes from the Eurotunnel terminal, so ideal after a late crossing or before an early one.

We arrived at 4am and had a quiet stay. I kept the blind open a bit as I was concerned about potential stowaway mentioned in previous review. Didn't see a thing though. Even checked under the vehicle. No problem. Did a bit of food shopping at carrfour at 9am. There were about 15 other motorhomes overnight. Convenient place to overnight.

Perfect for overnight stop after getting the late ferry across. Proper designated motorhome parking area signposted as such basically opposite the glowing toysrus banner. Loads of vans there, well lit and with police patrols so very safe especially if your first time overnighting in a car park in Europe!

Brilliant stop over after the tunnel crossing. Arrived late at 10.30pm, no problems finding and quiet when we arrived. Felt secure with several other MH’s parked. Great for shopping and stocking up.

Convenient for stocking up before returning to the UK. The Lidl is too far to walk with a trolley so better to drive there (no height restrictions) and return. Carrefour next door with huge choice of wine but more expensive. We discovered a stowaway under our motorhome in the morning so I would not stay here overnight again. He departed without incident once discovered but it was still a shock.

Really nice area once found, satnav took me to checkin booths, go this way but before you get to the booths there is a pet checkin lane on the right, take this and follow round to the junction, turn left until you get to the cite Europe ring road turn left again and the camper parking is about 300m up here on the left, it’s the only car park with no height restriction barriers.

Yes very safe here. loads of brit vans maybe 20, well lit, had the police just drive round. see no problems with immigrants or anybody else. handy for the shops pre or post channel crossing. been here now for hours and seen nothing untoward. no real noise neither and we are close to the fence near terminal. 5 stars easy.

Ideal if you get a late crossing. 15 mins from ferry terminal and a couple of mins from tunnel terminal Stay the night and set off early. Always lots of vans

Parfait pour une nuit ou pour attendre son tour pour le tunnel. Nous prenons le tunnel tôt et on est satisfait de dormir juste à côté dans un parking sécurisé (rondes de gendarmerie et de sécurité incendie)

Upwards of 40 vans here, very safe with emptying and water round the other side of shopping mall, near service station. Regarding the locked in person, there isn't even a gate on designated motorhome parking .

Second time I have stayed here. Cite Europe have now started closing the car park from 10:30pm to 8:30am. There are no signs at the entrance to tell you this and we missed our ferry as we were locked in the car park!

Très pratique pour départ ou arrivé par le tunnel sous la Manche, faire les courses et l'essence. Mais on n'y reste pas plus longtemps.

Safe for overnight stay. Quiet and very close to calais port (20mins). No toilet but shopping centre is nearby so could use when open. Few other vans around a close to a police station.
