New parking restrictions along the seafront - no coaches, caravans, or campers/motorhomes between midnight and 8am. Signage is poor, easy to get caught out. 2m height restriction at the Canoe Lake car park.

thebfg200302/05/2022Stopped here for the night before catching the ferry to the IOW. no issues at all. Also stopped here after ferry crossing on way back, again no issues. Free parking overnight from 6pm to 8am. Paid online at meter for an extra 2hrs in morning, no issues.

Right on the sea front, stunning location. No limit to spacing or height. Extra width catered for (bike lane to be mindful of). Sunrise idyllic. If you can cope with traffic noise until about 10.30 pm and woken again by around 6ish then this is the place to be. We arrived at 2pm & paid for a 24hr slot for £12. If staying longer you can just pay as you stay. Shall definitely return.

This roadside parking extends for nearly one a half miles from approximately 50.785674,-1.045330 to 50.779386,-1.075426. Parking is free overnight 18:00 to 08:00 and at all times November to February. Payment can be made at the machines or via the Ringgo app. In the latter, enter the number of hours and it will calculate the price allowing for the free overnight period, e.g. 17:30 to 08:30 1 hr.

I love this spot. Arrive in the evening to pay 24 hours to last you the night and the next day. Next to the beach. Toilets down the road. Wash of in the sea. Perfect.

Stayed overnight 13/8/19. Lovely large pavement for the grandchildren to play on their scooters. Right on the pebbled beach. Cycle path is take. Seriously so please watch when crossing to the parking area. Very quiet apart from the odd speed demon (straight stretch of road). Paid £3.50 to park for 2 hours in the morning to visit the local cafe which was lovely and wander along the beach! Highly recommended.
Ian_Burnell24/09/2017Stayed here last night, a Saturday, didn't have any noise problems from ferries, but did have a few boy racers trying to drift for a few minutes and a few people playing music from their cars for about half an hour. Easily fixed with ear plugs. Otherwise totally fine, no problems
