Excellent secluded little spot right at the sea, clean toilets, no cassette waste though,£10 per night donation and £1 for toilet upkeep, max 3 nights, no return within 7 days

  • 5/5

  • 4/5

A wild and windy night but slept well. Very quiet with no vehicles about. Excellent parking with great views. Spent some time yesterday watching a couple of guys kite surfing, they were good. Please make the requested donation so we can keep this great place.

  • 4/5

Stunning little spot right on the harbour! Amazing walks along the beach. £10 donation can be put in the donation box or paid on the website. Toilets are a little run down but do the job (Take your own bog roll!). Great signal on O2 and EE.

  • 4/5

Fantastic spot! Well worth the £10 donation. We got the spot on the right, with the grass area outside our door....perfect for the dogs. Didn't use the facilities so can't comment on them. Beach is beautiful, a lovely little village and harbour. Quiet night followed by a stunning sunrise.

  • 5/5

What a find this place is. £10 donation well spent. Beautiful beach views and sunset. Toilets available but take your own toilet roll. Can’t wait to come back.

  • 5/5

£10 a night donation, which we gladly paid...beautiful beach and mostly flat parking...public toilets are free but not to empty cassettes into ...please don't forget to donate or these fabulous spots won't stay available

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

    Alles super, schöner Platz

  • 5/5

Sehr schöner Platz, ruhig und prima Aussicht. Laut Aushang sollen maximal fünf Camper übernachten. Es wird um eine Spende von 10 £ gebeten. Vielen Dank an die Gemeinde!

  • 5/5

Absolutely fantastic spot for camper-van stopover, we stayed one night and had a great night, about 5 other campers and still plenty of space for more. Stunning view across the beach and harbour and within walking distance from Slains castle. We stopped by balmedie beach and Newburgh beach on our way which seemed very resistant to campers so was a nice to be welcomed here for a small £10 donation.

  • 5/5

Super Platz, haben dort Delfine gesehen. KEINE TOILETTEN ENTLEERUNG! Überall Verbotsschilder. Übernachtung per Spende möglich. Sehr schöner Platz mit vielen Picknick Bänken

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

The toilets are perfectly adequate, I’m not sure why there are comments suggesting otherwise. I imagine there is a beautiful view when it isn’t foggy. A peaceful sleep, thank you.

  • 4/5

Excellent parkup. 6 vans here last night. Campervans are allowed to stay for 3 night's, 24hr basic toilets, bring your own loo roll. shame the boy racer turned up and insisted we listened to his loud boom music, got some excellent sleep, once he had gone.

  • 5/5

We normally bring toilet rolls, bleach and hand soap for both toilets! Great place for a night!

  • 5/5

    Absolutely stunning

  • 5/5

perfect pace to park up for a night or two

  • 4/5

Stayed for two nights! Great place with nice people. Small shop at the village with essentials. Nice beach for walks! Toilets a bit dirty we preferred using our own. Water tap available. Please donate for staying here!

  • 5/5

    Beautiful spot for the night.

  • 5/5

lovely spot here, worth giving a £10 donation. picturesque village and lovely sandy beach

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Locals some of the best in the North East, so kind, friendly and deserving of our donation to the harbour fund. One of the fishermen gutted and filleted mackerel for us. we had them for breakfast! Highly recommend it. visited August 5 2022

  • 5/5

Great stopover. Couple of hours on lovely beach and swimming in sea, then bbq next to van followed by sunset walk to Slain Castle. Toilet fine, water tap. A nice community vibe amongst vans and locals seemed very friendly.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

We absolutely loved it, what a location and £10 is a bargain. The WC’s are ok should you have to use them. There’s a water tap so you can top up your supply. Other Motorhome Visitors were so friendly too. We have already made plans to visit next weekend, this time we’ll visit the Kilmarnock Arms for supper (dog friendly) and Slains Castle - inspired by Bram Stokers Dracula. Just magic!

  • 4/5

good spot to stay for a donation. Dumping is possible and tap water is also available. Visit "Slains Castle"

  • 5/5

Upto 5 vans can park by the railings. A donation of £10 is suggested. We had a quiet night other than the sound of the sea. Beautiful beach and castle within walking distance. You need to be self sufficient as there are only disgraceful toilets on the harbour (no seat, no lid on the cistern, no paper, no soap).

  • 4/5

  • 3/5

great view, was a bit windy at night. please respect the rules on the railing. motorhome next to us parked sideways and treated the spot like a campsite. toilets are not very nice.

  • 5/5

Short drive from newburgh seal beach. Flat pitch right up to sea wall, amazing views, seen a few seals swimming around. Great walk up to Slains Castle. Short walk to a local shop. Has fresh water tap, toilets are unclean but better ones down past the shop on the right.

  • 5/5

Had to give this place 5☆ for location & view...Didn't mind donation request either but if they're not using funds to keep the toilets in good order, what are they using it for, maybe the lovely flower display in the old boat! No seat! No paper!! No soap!!! Soap & paper, happy to take my own...Seat! NO :-( not asking for luxuries just necessities especially in the ladies. Users please Respect :-D

  • 3/5

ok for one night although three nights is allowed but other than water no other services that you would want to use, toilets disgraceful

  • 2/5

lovely spot near to beach etc. toilets were a disgrace so did not stay once I saw toilets. £10 donation should ensure a toilet fit/clean for use. Run by the Harbour Committee. Council public toilets open 8am to 6pm 300yds from harbour. spotless

  • 5/5

Lovely little spot next to the sea. Beautiful beach walk or along the cliffs to the castle. Happy to pay £10 donation and feel welcome. Lovely village and everybody very friendly. Had a nice Chinese meal delivered to the van.

  • 5/5

Stayed for 2 nights (maximum 3) maximum of 5 vans but there were 9 vans one night with no problems. £10 per night donation paid in an honesty slot in the door of the toilets. The toilets (male&female) are a bit dated but are okay. Beautiful views across the bay and a 1hr round walk to an extraordinary castle on the cliffs. We felt safe with no disturbance during the night.Would stay again.

  • 5/5

Lovely wee stop for a few nights !! The local Chinese will deliver to your motorhome perfect! leave no trace folks and remember to leave your £10 donation per night goes towards keeping this open

  • 5/5

Great spot and we'll worth the £10 donation. Got here at 5 pm. By 7pm it was full. If that happens drive a mile north to the car park near Slains castle.

  • 5/5

Incredible spot and well worth the donation. Saw some people dumping black waste in the toilets, don’t be that person or this place will be shut down.

  • 5/5

What a great place to stay. Toilets and water available and great views right next to the sea. Would highly recommend

  • 5/5

A great place to stop. Lovely walk to the castle and on to the nature reserve then down to see the seals at the end of the beach. Such friendly people and what a view to wake up to. Well worth the £10 in the honesty box

  • 5/5

Icing on the cake! fab view quiet place. lovely walk to castle (mainly flat)suitable for large moterhome. peaceful stay. our M/H 8.5 m

  • 5/5

Great spot, paid the £10 donation after the storm stopped. Fell asleep listening to the crashing waves was a lovely experience. Felt very safe. Water tap next to toilets that can be used to fill up if short on water.

  • 5/5

Happily paid the tenner suggested. Such a fabulous spot right on the beach, level too with clean but basic toilets. Pub is walkable too. And a shop. Not often I give a 5/5!

  • 5/5

Excellent overnight stop. Amazing views, plenty spaces were available. Toilets were open and a £10 donation suggested for upkeep of harbour, very worthwhile.

  • 5/5

Absolutely wonderful spot. Raging sea, huge sky, great sunsets, and plenty of exploring to be done.

  • 5/5

Very peaceful and flat, room for 5 motor homes with toilets close by. Recommended £10 donation to help for the upkeep of the harbour area

  • 5/5

    Parked by harbour facing side.

  • 3/5

Stopped for lunch. Very pretty spot! Motorhomes welcome for up to 3 nights. £10 per night donation request. Absolutely no facilities.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Great spot, toilets closed at present but excellent views.

  • 5/5

It IS free. they ask for a donation. you decide. it is an excellent spot.

  • 5/5

    It’s beautiful!

  • 5/5

    Absolutely fantastic place, recommend highly.

  • 5/5

  • 4/5

Only now I see a donation is requested. We parked free.

  • 5/5

We were there alone, toilets 24 hours opened, drinking water point available, easy walking to Slain castle, Cruden Bay sand beach for walking, swimming

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Great location for the night, falling asleep to the sound of the waves. Fantastic beach, quiet little village, WC and water fill. Could not be happier

  • 5/5

A great place to stay. £10 donation suggested. Signs on toilets asking people NOT to empty their chemical waste in the public loos.

  • 5/5

We stayed here last night, lovely place, the sea was calm. It’s not free, there is a green honesty box on the slip way. It’s £10 for the night, and your registration number. There is fresh water and two toilets, take some loo paper with you just in case. No other facilities but there’s a beautiful beach.

  • 5/5

    Not free.. £10 honesty box.

  • 1/5

  • 5/5

Great little spot. Toilets closed in winter but water still available. Max 3 night stay.

  • 5/5
