Now only okay for daytime , ruined by full timers staying for months on end, telling papers they had no facilities, hanging out washing etc and use of bushes for toilet disposal etc. Very sad was a stunning unrestricted spot. Still nice for day visits and discreet stops a few streets back from seafront

  • 3/5

Great for daytime parking if you get there early in the warmer months. Overnight restrictions have come into place because people have abused it as usual. To be fair I would drive down there & there would be loads of motorhomes. 1 would move out, another would take its place, locals couldn't park. Cornwall Council needs to provide dedicated parking to motorhomes, it will bring money to Cornwall.

  • 1/5

Overnight stays have recently been restricted. I saw it on the front page of The West Briton. We haven't been down there for a while, but if this is the case, then this used to be a great spot. Also reported on the 'Cornwall Live' website. How do I add photos?

  • 3/5

I think overnight stays have recently been restricted. I saw it on the front page of The West Briton. Haven't been down there for a while, but if this is the case, then this used to be a great spot.

  • 5/5

    stayed here 23/12 no issues

  • 4/5

Yes it is a good park up and is still ok to, but there is a proposal to stop/restrict it.

  • 5/5

Fantastic spot, whilst working for the NHS last winter parking here was the only way I could afford to live in Cornwall, please see most recent Falmouth Packet article for the parking restrictions that are being proposed and please write and object through the link in the article before Nov 30th if you ever want to stay here again. Please spread the word! :)

Quiet road to stay on with sea views. 20 minute walk into town. Free and no restrictions.

  • 5/5

Was excellent. No parking restrictions. Lovely views, quiet night's sleep. 15 minutes walk to town, 5 minutes to the beautiful sandy beach.

  • 5/5

Parked here while in town for free. Lots of motor homes chilling out. Water tap was great but down lots of stairs so if yours is heavy beware. Beach isn't great but views are lovely.

  • 4/5

A great spot but see 'Falmouth Packet' newspaper reports online, homebuilds & vans without hygiene facilities are going to get this area banned for all.

  • 5/5

An awesome view so close to the sea. The toilet block opened at about 7 and closed around 0930. A few cars passed during the night but on the whole we were undisturbed. Lots of other vans parked here too. Agree with all previous comments, the tip about parking with your wheels on the curb is a good one. Will definitely stay here again. No signage at all regarding to fines for staying overnight.

  • 1/5

Cornwall council have now banned campervans from sleeping on this road overnight. They are now dishing out a £70 fine if they catch you in your van overnight. a real shame as there is no alternative for campers.

  • 5/5

Quiet, great view and location. Although plenty of vans parked up, there was still plenty of space.

  • 5/5

Really nice spot. Level of you put two wheels on the curb and plenty of other vans around

  • 5/5

Great nights sleep even in high wind - toilets great but a little late opening in the morning , agree with all positives previously mentioned

  • 5/5

What a view to wake up to! Quiet and lots of other vans were parked up too. toilets near by and only a 15 minute walk into town :)

  • 5/5

Highly recommend. Free parking all day and night. Road side parking, beach access, free toilets 8am-10pm, 10min walk to falmouth Dock and great access for boat trips to St Mawes.

  • 5/5

Highly recommended, good night sleep and beautiful.

  • 5/5

Busy in the day so aim to get here later on in the evening to get parked up. great FREE stay, you could easily stay here a couple of nights without any issues. great view wonderful stay. quiet at night, only hear the crashing of the waves. road not so flat so park with 2 wheels up the kerb so it’s straight. loved it here. will be staying here again

  • 5/5

Stunning park up we stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days. No one bothered us the locals are super nice and friendly. Toilets do close around 8pm but hotels were nice enough to let us go in there if bursting. In the sea if you go swimming you can see lots of wildlife like fish and crabs.

  • 5/5

We had the perfect stay here last week. But as for the park up its self, it was an amazing view of the sea from just a little over 10min walk to the centre of Falmouth, at night it was only the crashing waves that you could hear. lots of dog walkers, runners and other passing people traffic and motor traffic during the days, but these calm down around 9pm for a lovely pleasant evening.

  • 5/5

A lovely view of the blue sea, ships sailing by and swimmers enjoying the sea. A small beach café located on the small adjacent promenade, next to the toilets. Plenty of parking spaces, benches, bins an information board and a phone box.

  • 5/5

Amazing spot with fantastic views. Short walk to beach and toilets. Busy road during day but silent at night. Lovely welcoming locals and free to park. We even woke to a mobile Cornish street food van selling the an array of fish and vegetarian boxes.

  • 4/5

Parked up for night - very quiet with great view in the morning and free

  • 5/5

Really nice spot, stayed for 2 nights enjoying the view over the bay and only 10 minutes walk to the town centre. Lots of friendly locals passing by, but very quiet at night.

  • 4/5

Stayed here for a night in Sept. Busy during the day but plenty of parking at night. Very quiet with stunning views

  • 5/5

Stayed here for 3 nights in a LWB van and had no problems at all. Stunning view, 2 minutes walk to the beach and FREE!

  • 5/5

Spent the night here no problem. 5 mins from the beach and 15 mins walk to the town centre. Toilets and drinking water available next to the beach. Parking is free here too so no need to pay in the pay and display next to the beach.

  • 5/5

Parking just off the road, quiet though. Toilets just on castle beach. Nice beach to wonder on. Gylly beach cafe is just down the road, lovely food, cakes and drinks. No other services.

  • 4/5

Stayed for a night no problem, as long as you don't make noise I think you're fine. Theres drinking water next to the toilets and a shower on the beach

  • 4/5

Had a good night here. Very quiet for being roadside parking. The road is uneven and steep in the beginning, but gets better towards the beach and away from the castle. We put two wheels on the pavement so we were pretty equal.

  • 4/5

Stayed here October for one night, had no problems and was a relatively quiet night. Toilets by the beach but they close at 10.

  • 3/5

Belle vue. Idéal pour visiter Falmouth et son musée maritime. Manque sans doute de calme pour passer la nuit car c'est le long de la route côtière. Gratuit et autorisée aux camping-cars : c'est suffisamment rare pour être mentionné.

  • 3/5

Spent dozens of nights here over the last couple of years

  • 4/5

Belle route en front de mer, une plage à cent mètres avec toilettes. Le camping-car est garé le long de la rue, large. Le parking à côté de la plage est fermé la nuit et... no overnight sleeping.
