Private car park, signs referring to field at back of car park - no camping ( tent picture ) , no campfires / no swimming. Toilet at entrance. Nice walks nearby & pubs Etc. Car park is pot holed & in rain has big puddles. Can park until 10pm. Leave no trace!

  • 5/5

This is very handy for parking during the day for walking the dog and access to Balloch and the lochside amenities Clearly states no overnight parking .

  • 1/5

    no overnight stay. so...

  • 5/5

Absolutely awesome place for obernight stay. Great green place for dogs right next to it. Quite trough the night. This night there were also three other RVs, but the space is for another 3-4. Recommended.

  • 4/5

Arived at 8pm on sat 2 july 12 vans already there & room for us & maybe 2 more. Great quiet spot. Close to 24hr toilet pubs & takaway. Only downside is its a a gravel carpark a in the rain it puddles & gets messy under foot. Would stay again though

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Stayed here on the 27/06/22. Large carpark, with a nice area behind to walk the dog. Was quite with no bother from anyone, close to a small shop and 24hr public toilet

  • 5/5

Ideal für einen Zwischenstop am Loch Lomond. Ruhiger Platz mit einem sauberen öffentlichem WC. Das Schild mit der Aufschrift: No overnight parking, kann ignoriert werden (wurde uns zumindest so gesagt).

  • 5/5

Stayed at this parkup last night (Fri, 10/06/2022). There were six other vans but still loads of space. Great location, 24hr public toilet outside the tourism office at the carpark entrance and bins.

  • 5/5

Top Platz, direkt am Loch Lomond. Kostenfrei, legal, viel Platz, eben. Öffentliches WC (war nur defekt als wir dort waren).

  • 5/5

For my first ever stop off outside of a campsite this was ideal. A level car park with a toilet, pub across the road, fish and chips and a shop nearby. Car park was busy and we parked up with around 15 other vans. Slept like a log after the evening noise died down around 11;00pm

  • 4/5

Schöner Platz, aber etwas laut. Toilette ist vorhanden.

  • 5/5

I’m new to this so uncertain what to expect. Really good spot. Felt safe around the side in the hedged area- about 4 other vans there and the space age toilet was clean and dry too!

  • 2/5

There's a sign "private car park, at your own risk"...

  • 5/5

stayed 22 April quiet stay close to to shops across Bridge went for fish and chips

  • 5/5

Great park up and got busy but Easter Sunday so not too surprising. Ate at the Balloch House pub good meal well priced. Will stay again when near by

  • 4/5

When it’s raining (as it was when e we stayed this weekend) the ground is chalky/muddy and you’re defo bringing that into your camper. Local shops and bars within walking distance, free auto-cleaning public toilet at the entrance, and a quiet spot for the night. No hassles at all, and completely free.

  • 5/5

very chilled out. 3 campers there the couple of nights we stayed and the hgvs also seem to stay in the back left. chippy does fish supper for £5 toilet in cubicle at front of car park didn't feel bothered at all

  • 5/5

Stayed one night, midweek December. The car park was muddy and potholed but was free. Located just behind the Tourist Information, there is a free public toilet available 24/7 and a water supply on the main road outside of Tourist Information. Parked right in the corner. No trouble. Little in the way of interruptions. Joined by two HGVs late on who left early morning. handly little free stop over

  • 5/5

My partner and I stayed here for two nights. We really enjoyed it! Right next to the river. We parked right in the back corner so we got a fair bit of privacy, lots of space for trucks and campers and we felt really safe. Toilets are just at entrance to car park, very clean. Locals are lovely and so is the food (specifically the Scottish breaky at Scoops and The Balloch House).

  • 4/5

Just spent a night here, was nearly 7.30pm arriving and there were already 10 or other motorhomes parked up. carpark is big enough for quite a few more. Carpark is flat but has a few potholes so be careful where you park as it can put you on a slope and they fill up in rain so don't get ur feet wet. quiet enough after 11pm until about 7.30am. brilliantly located for for local shops / takeaways.

  • 5/5

Stayed here for the weekend no problems as we accidentally booked the wrong weekend for the campsite down the road and they couldn’t fit us in! If you can be self sufficient and leave no trace you’re absolutely fine here! The pub opposite is perfectly acceptable and does ok food, there’s a great chippy up the road and the loch is a few minutes walk right behind the car park!

  • 5/5

Brilliant stop over, no services so make sure your equipped with own facilities. short walk to the pubs and cafes of Balloch. did have one HGV parked within carpark that left at 0500hrs but generally nice and nice and quiet. Nice grass area and walk for the dog.

  • 5/5

Large car park with plenty of space for lots of vans (over 10 the night we stayed). Within walking distance of shops etc in Balloch and nice path through the marina and down to the loch. Partner tried to use the public toilets however the door wouldn’t lock, however fine if you have onboard facilities and great for one night.

  • 5/5

Nice big flat space and plenty of room. We got there about 7ish and there was already a number parked up. If you’ve not got onboard facilities there is a public toilet there at the entrance. Pub (Tuille Inn) across the road did some decent grub and there was a newsagent/shop to grab some basic supplies from

  • 5/5

Lots of room nice and flat. big field to the rear to take dogs on. stopped for 1 night while traveling to the Highlands

  • 5/5

Great location, clean and toilet facilities open.. Arrived here around 15:30 - 04/09/21 with a few spaces for the motorhome. Plenty of places to eat. Around 10 motorhomes settled for the night. Good nights sleep. Definitely would come back.

  • 5/5

Stayed here overnight on 02/09/21. Fair few camper vans motorhomes here in the car park. Probably about 13 in total large car park so easy to park up. We arrived late around 2300 and plenty space. Public toilets down the road were closed. Easy access to a McDonald's to grab breakfast the following morning just down the road.

  • 5/5

Stayed here tonight 22/07 and it was very busy with several campers. Lovely and central location. Good for small/medium vans. However there is one very large motorhome parked here taking up four spaces. Have heard several locals complaining about it, it's moves like this that end up with carparks being removed from overnights. Please park responsibly.

  • 5/5

Free car park with no restrictions behind the tourist information centre. Stayed overnight in a campervan. There were around 5 or 6 motorhomes but more than enough space. Completely missed that there was a public toilet in front of the information centre and walked 10 minutes up the road to another one which was closed overnight. In the centre but very quiet and peaceful at night.

  • 5/5

Good place for an overnighter right in center and only 2 mins to chipshop and other food outlets, good walks by marina and close to Loch cruise ship.

  • 5/5

Right in the centre of town. Appears to be an old Car park with no restrictions (Possibly council? As the hedges and nearby grass was being maintained on our visit) - Spent the night with 6 other vans, with no issues, really recommend checking out the Blue Lagoon for dinner!

  • 5/5

Good little stop off point. There is public toilet on the street very close by and its flat and quiet. it's in a town center so loads to do, pubs and restaurants to eat at but no yobos spoiling the fun. The turning is the same turning as the sign for "SWEENEY CRUISE". for a last minute find we are very impressed

  • 5/5

Great stop, states private car park and nothing about no overnights...... about 7 of us tonight, right in centre of town, near pubs etc

  • 5/5

Great location. Around 5 campers already there. Pubs, toilet, information centre nearby. Took an hour long boat trip which leaves nearby. Great find.

  • 5/5

Large flat car park near bridge & marina/ boat trips (not open - covid). 4 motorhomes already there - plenty of space. Access to green space and loch/riverside walking for dog. Quiet overnight- pub across the road now open but we didn't use it. No facilities but great travelling overnight stop.

  • 5/5

Perfect for that over night stay. Fairly quiet, free and there were a few other vans stopped over night too. Just a 5 min walk down the road were some toilets.

  • 5/5

Stayed mid-week in campervan. Very quiet car park with only 3 other vans/motor homes. Absolutely fine place to park overnight for a quick stop over. :)

  • 3/5

Fantastic location, Places to eat and toilets very close, great view of the marina. Unfortunately around 9.30pm we had to leave as the noise from a group of teenagers having a party on the park was too loud (They had speakers and were in a large group). There were also a couple other groups of drunk people around that night shouting.

  • 4/5

Great walks along the river and a flat, if a little dirty parking area. quiet at night. shared with about 6 other vans.

  • 5/5

Great spot for the night. Lovely walks along the banks of Loch Lomond. Plenty of restaurants and bars close by.

  • 5/5

Stayed for one night behind the tourist info centre. We were planning on staying on old luss road around the corner but the lovely lady at the info centre said people were getting moved on there and advised we stop in this car park. Felt safe and not disturbed once.

  • 5/5

Great spot , behind very helpful tourist info . Right by the park , excellent for letting the dog run . Co-op about a 10 min walk . Kids shouting in the park until about midnight ( Friday night ) but no bother to us . Slept soundly , two other vans in the car park .

  • 4/5

A nice little spot next to the river. Pub across the road had nice food for dinner and we had breakfast in The Pier Kitchen which is just around the corner. Lovely park to walk through and a derelict castle. Slept well, Road traffic heard but I was ok with this. Public toilet was open too

  • 5/5

Really nice place, number of vehicles parked overnight when we stayed but really quiet and safe, just some road noise in the morning. Great place for brekko and coffee at the Tullie Inn just over the road :)

  • 5/5

Lovely spot, flat ground, lots of space, felt safe - there was one other van and a couple walkers in the morning. Toilets not far in town.

  • 5/5

Always apprehensive about wild camping only second time we have done it. Pulled into car park about 2pm space for van at back out of way. Went for a nice dinner and came back. Very quiet a few other vans appeared. No issues. Toilet near road although we had our own.

  • 5/5

Nice spot. Parked there alongside a couple of other motor homes. Ours is 9m and there was still plenty of space. If it’s full, there’s another free stopping area with other motor homes parked there about 100m along the high street behind “Keystore” convenience store and Our Lady & St Mark church. We are in the Balloch hotel. Had a nice steak with decent wine. Camping supplies can be bought at Keystore. Recommend this spot as a stopover. Very peaceful.

  • 5/5

Great little stop for a night. Close to road but it was quiet at night and felt safe. Other campers overnighting too. Good pub (The Tullie) over the road with decent food.

  • 5/5

Nice flat parking. fairly quite and nice cycle path for your dog walk from site

  • 5/5

Quiet, flat parking set 50m back from a road which wasn’t too busy over night. 3 other campers including myself. Felt safe. Free

  • 5/5

Found an open toilet in the covid-times! It’s inside the Co-op, a short walk over the bridge. And it sells books for charity too. Had a good night here. Perfect for a night stopover. Plenty of space and other campers too. Felt safe.

  • 4/5

Great location and quiet park up, stayed 1 night no problems at all. All the public toilets were closed tho, only open ones we found were at Maid of the Loch slipway, a shortish walk away.

  • 5/5

Lovely quite place to park up, next to main centre and Lake.

  • 4/5

Haben dort eine Nacht geschlafen. Toilette ist 24h geöffnet. Am Parkplatz lag leider sehr viel Müll.

  • 4/5

Parked here for 1 night, quiet, nice and central, lots of walks nearby

  • 5/5

Eine Nacht ganz hinten an den Hecken gestanden, war ruhig und zentral. Mehrere Camper anwesend.

  • 3/5

Nous y avons passé une nuit pour assister au Highland games. La nuit a été calme.
